Fashionably late just like my starts, but here it is! It's race day babyyyy. The YZ250 is back to attempt to claim the Iron Man Trophy here at Day in the Dirt Down South.
This is an annual event hosted by Red Bull over at Dade City Raceway and is 2 days of nonstop racing. All of the motos are longer than usual; 40 minutes at the minimum with everything leading up to Sunday's Coup De Grace race.
If you saw the practice day video ( • It's Time for Another ... ), you know we're in for a non-stop weekend of dirt bike action. I've got a total of 5 hours of racing ahead of me aboard the Marketplace YZ250 2 stroke and a beautiful loaner KTM 250SXF. We're going to be out on track with 100s of other riders, racing alongside fellow amateurs and some pretty big-time professionals.
This was a heck of a challenge to piece together considering the hours of GoPro footage I had to work with and not much else. I hope you enjoy :)

jay's hydrated, moisturized, unbothered, and in his lane. Until some guy trys to run him off the track.. if that jay raced the whole race, you'd be up front lol. We need to see that Jay for 30+2. Outdoors is coming up, think of the content jay..

Dude it took sooooo long, haha. Had a few rainy days this past week and got 'er done.
250 may be getting a fresh pipe since I annihilated it today. Other than that just need some new bars and find a way to get the suspension dialed in without spending a million dollars. It definitely deserves it.
Also, if you're talking mountain bikes there may be something here in the next couple weeks >.>

That sand section make me tired just watching! Last time I races in sand, I was to far forward on a take off, and nose dived over the bars, split my chest protector, and bruised 3 ribs. A very lucky get off, if I do say so myself

don't want to come off as an idiot but MAN has preloading helped me with my fullsus mtb. it makes all the difference there, and i'm sure it's got a good impact on a motorbike too!
Thanks Damon :) I tried doing that first double in a couple times but just couldn't make it work for some reason. Was compressing and popping as hard as I could, but just wasn't working and I almost died in the aftermath lol. Those things were WAY deeper than the camera makes it look

@@jaydalton all rm450 stuff basically brand new ti6 full exhaust, pegs sprockets, graphics kits, all my old stuff I never used, I had a Suzuki for a little and I have stuff left I even have some extra sets of grips, but I have gear too..not sure what size helmet and I have a pair of Alpinestars I can give you fresh..no garbage..I have pics of everything..I want to go to cgi this summer with the kids maybe meet out there figure it out..
i once bought an RM250 that had a zip tie decal kit haha you could be in line for a major sponsorship
