hi i must go buy the bagpipes a learn it because i need it to my group and i play on sopran fleute 4 years and i go to bagpipes because this is fantastic :) you is absolutly amazing
+Iain Thornton Hello. First of all ,if you don't know yet, find out what type of bagpipes the chanter is and what tuning. Then you can google exact fingering positions chart for your chanter and start messing around with it :) Tips for learning - do you play also flutes/whistles or you started right on with chanter? If I get it right you have no bag just chanter and that could be pretty tricky even for well trained fluters/whistlers in the mean of breathing... so it's probably best to buy at least some lowcost recorder flute and practice both (the recorder has also advantage of not being so loud as the chanter which is great for practicing). The only problem recorder vs. chanter may be different tunings as the recorders are commonly in C major and chanters may varied more... that means different fingering on each instrument which can be confusing first but you can get used to it. But breathing, proper fingering... then getting faster, playing with different expressions and so on :) Probably there are tons of tip videos on youtube, or google some sheet music or try to learn tunes just by ear... depends what suits you best :)
jonah Debraeve Hi, actually I don't have any sheets sorry, I've learnt it by ear. But if you want to play this on bagpipes first of all you must consider what tuning do you have - the song is in C major (not considering the change in the very end) - so C major or A minor will do best (mine bagpipes are in A minor). Hope it helps :) Yeah and I'm pretty far from any mastery :D but thanks!
I loved it from second 0:01
Really nice cover, thanks for uploading ^^ I'm trying to learn at the minute so its nice to be able to see the correct fingering technique :)
Thanks, that's cool! Looking forward to hear your version soon :)
I love this :) this has to be my favorite cover of this song. Keep up the great work
