Unfortunately Jay Cee, I have no idea what the root cause of the noise is. I am waiting for the next video to find out what was wrong. Hi..not sure if you found the source, but I had that same noise and it was the shocks. Found out that they are hydraulic and was leaking fluid. Replaced both and the noise was gone. Also, feel your pain with the 2 to 3 shift that's the biggest annoyonce by far with the car other than a few minor quibbles but overall I love it.

Coming from a mechanic I think the shock is the issue how it was kind of a clunking noise with a little vibration makes it sound like a shock. Plus it looks like it’s leaking fluid it shouldn’t be oily like that. I hope you fixed the issue though. I have a 2018 Lincoln mkz and it would bother the crap out of me if I had something like that especially since it’s supposed to be a quiet soft riding car.

I had a similar issue with my Mkz. I had the shock absorbers replaced and it still didn’t fix the issue. I then took the car to another mechanic for another look and they removed the driver side tire where the noise was coming from and noticed right away that the 2 bolts that tighten down the brake caliber weren’t even screwed in at all. I was so upset that I spent all that money for nothing

Lol it’s funny because I’m having the same problem with mine!!!!! I have a 2014 mkz Lincoln hybrid and had a mechanic look at it and he told me it was one thing and had it fixed. Told me it was another thing had it fix. Then he said I need shocks so got those done and it stopped but it wasn’t the shocks either!!!! Lol I’ve taken it back to my mechanic 4 times and he couldn’t figure it out..
It was just that the bolt on top of the shock and shock mount was loose!!! Lol It’s still happening so I have to get a new bolt or see if the top of the shock is stripped.. Yup that was the problem that you tightened!!!
    Good luck fam!!!

Not sure if you ever figured out what your issue was. I have a 2014 MKZ that had the exact same issue just on the passenger side. The bushings are going bad in the rear end. You can test this by taking WD40 or brake fluid and spray the bushings, let them sit for about 10 min and then spray them again. Ensure that you hit them all then take the car for a ride again. As far as the rear shock, if you see oil on the outside of the encasement then you need to replace them. The seals on the shocks are bad.

In at 4:45 now, talking about the jack. I have a low profile Daytona jack from Harbor Freight. Made in same factory, was the same parts and the same design and bynthr same people that make a Snap-On jack. Snap-On actually sued HF over their claims of it being basically the same. Snap-On lost cause the jacks are 99% identical. Snap-On as a different option but they're the same in form and over-all function. Modern Ford made product! Found the issue! lol but seriously, modern american made cars have been a joke for 10+ years now. as the market requires more electronics and more complex transmissions(torque converter autos were fine and good ones lasted 300k miles) in cars, they get worse and worse. but what really makes most of them horrible is the penny savings they are doing in all parts of the cars.

I have the same car. 2013 Lincoln MKZ. I had that sound. My issue was a missing disc brake screw. Forgive me I'll describe it. The Disc brakes are secured with 2 long screws that are screws on one end and have recessed allen wrench heads on the opposite end. Anyway, during a brake pad change they neglected to put one back and the other was loose. Yummy... NOT!!! made the same sound. Just a guess
