I had thd best laugh at the reveal of your LaLande ferocious guard dog! Thank you. Adorable puppy. It is understood that in a drafty Chateau, a small creature must sleep and snuggle under the covers with you both every cold night. Lol.
Just looked up the breed. Lancelot looks like a Prague Ratter, an old breed from the Czech and Slovakia area. They’re quick, active, alert, and watchful, and affectionate and loyal to their master. And social and good with children. A dog that back in time was only owned by royalty. Congratulations!
@@carolesmith6620 I love how attached he has become to Philip. P knows how to bundle and make warm nests for Lancelot. I love it all. Cngrats Philip on your fur baby.
I had to come back to this vlog to see again when you first met Lancelot. He was such a sweet dog, how quickly Stephanie changed her mind about a dog, everyone fell for his sweet charms. So sorry for your loss, Stephanie, Philip and Marie
Sweet reminder of Lancelot’s debut,it was love at first sight for me and 250,000 others as well! All the stars in the chapel are for Lancelot,RIP sweet prince!
OMG!!!! The best episode ever!!!! How cute is Lancelot! And how thoughtful was Stephanie, when they were about to take the puppy from his mom....How adorable are Philip and Lancelot!!! This was amazing, what a gorgeous surprise!!!❤❤❤❤
I have only seen the first few minutes….the funny thing is that as a dog mummy I know that in no time Stephanie will not be able to imagine that she was able to live without a dog 🐾🤣
OMG throwing doggy treats all over my computer screen!!! Although I'm very partial to large shaggy slobbering dogs, I can see why this little pup and his autumnal coat caught your heart. Stephany, you did a wonderful thing and now you may even have a friend to accompany you on your daily waddles, LOL. May I recommend a body harness rather than a collar to hook your leash. It'll be safer for the doggie who is bound to take off suddenly chasing leaves flying in the wind.
Great advice, a harness is safer for small puppies and they have such sensitive necks. It can be tricky finding ones small enough in the beginning but a cat harness will do fine!
This was pure delight! A true lift of the spirit. Steph, your concern for the pup's and his mom's separation says everything true and good about you. So does your love for Phillip and getting him a much-wanted dog. Much love to you both and gentle scritches for Lancelot.
Watched this for the first time after hearing the heartbreaking news about Lancelot's untimely passing.💔 You brought so much joy to everyone who knew & loved you and also to those who watched you from a distance. RIP Sweet Lancelot. 💜💚
What a cutie! Completely understand the pause in the diaries, because little Lancelot will need some care and attention from the both of you, having just moved to his forever home. But he will be a great companion for your morning walks, Stephanie 😊 I remember the last time I got a puppy, and the first night, he was so tired, he slept like a log. But the second night, when we went to bed, I think it sunk in, that he was not going back to his mommy, all the siblings, and the family or house, he was used to. So shortly after lights out, he CRIED! Only for a short while, because off course he was comforted and cared for at once. But then, that was it, and he settled in beautifully! He is gone now, but not forgotten 😊
Lancelot has imprinted on Philip. How adorable. Hope all goes well with his training Philip, and Aunt Stephanie relaxes with her new baby responsibilities!
"Little deer" is a perfect description for so adorable and fawn-like a puppy. Congratulations on Lancelot joining the family and many joyous years with dog ahead to you all. I did laugh when Maria pulled up the picture of the painting though. Such joy.😍😍😍
My late MiL had this breed, Prazsky Krysarik. Intelligent, always in for some fun, and highly trainable. She taught him how to dance, and Teffy did as he loved to please her. They lived in a flat, and no barking dogs were allowed. I am so happy for Philip, he will have a real friend with a great personality. Teffy, the little Prazsky thought himself a Doberman. I Hope Lancelot will think of himself as a bit smaller 😉
@@lucybarrington4634 It's a very old race but only since 2019 officially acknowledged. Mostly only known in the Czech Republic. I think that is a plus, not over breeded.

Dogs enrich our lives, they make us more active, and they bring us together. Life will be better with little Lancelot, even if it requires just a bit more work!
What a lovely addition to the Lalande Team!! Lancelot looks so sweet and adorable! His eyes look intelligent, I would say he is already taking note of whatever is happening around him. I have 5 mini German Pinscher, that they look very similar to Lancelot, and they are very smart and happy dogs. I´m sure you all are going to enjoy his company a lot. One thing, be careful with Lancelot, the hair is very short and this breed suffer from the cold, you may need to buy some woolly sweaters for him. Also when they go outside their height is so short that their tummies and chest get wet from the grass and they can easily catch neumonia. Remember to introduce him to the cat, the peacocks and the hens, and teach him not to chase them. I already love Lancelot!!
Other way around here. I fell in love with our Labrador Lady after much wishing for a dog from my husband! We have had five labs since her. Every one of them dear to me and all rescues. It has been a few years since our last one passed. My husband was heartbroken and decided he just couldn’t lose another one. Then my mom moved in with us and we were concerned about getting another one because we didn’t want her knocked down. But low and behold my daughter needed us to keep her little lab/border collie mix for a year and my mom adores her, and Lily is so good with my mom. Life is good. Always good with a dog. 🥰
It is 12th May 2024 and have no idea if you will ever see this! I have just rewatched this delightful video. Didn't take long ,a few minutes, to the complete change and the fore runner of this delightful little scraps total domination of Laland. Little Lancelot is going to need lots of understanding, gentleness and calm as he adapts to being away from his litter and mum, plus a new language and all the sights and smells of a new home with a new household. The tail between the legs indicates that he is feeling unsure and afraid also, so the days and weeks ahead of having reassuring, calm, quality time again and again with Phillip and Stephanie will make a big difference for the little fellow.
