This was supposed to be last Thursday’s video, but we decided to postpone as there was an accident at the chateau. None of the Lalanders were involved, but we’re all very emotional and not up to filming at the moment. So, there won’t be another Chateau Diaries until Thursday. I’m really sorry and I hope you all understand 💛

I see a wonderful life for that little dog, plenty of company, good food and that fabulous garden and woods to explore. Lucky little fellow.
And with Molly to teach him the ropes!
What breed is he?? How big will he get?
a walk wit her... maybe on a leash
@@katadored5699a Prague ratter they don't get very big.
I had thd best laugh at the reveal of your LaLande ferocious guard dog! Thank you. Adorable puppy. It is understood that in a drafty Chateau, a small creature must sleep and snuggle under the covers with you both every cold night. Lol.
You will never regret having a dog. He is adorable and will bring much love to you all! Enjoy xxx
Phillip's last words - "He's so well behaved." Just wait.😅😂😅
Lancelot is bewildered by the change in languages. He has only heard German since birth. He will learn quickly his adopted language.....😍
Excellent point.
I have only seen the first few minutes….the funny thing is that as a dog mummy I know that in no time Stephanie will not be able to imagine that she was able to live without a dog 🐾🤣
Yes for sure! Phillip will have to share his new puppy.
Just looked up the breed. Lancelot looks like a Prague Ratter, an old breed from the Czech and Slovakia area. They’re quick, active, alert, and watchful, and affectionate and loyal to their master. And social and good with children. A dog that back in time was only owned by royalty.
Congratulations!
Wow! 😍
Lancelot has nailed the brief. Thanks for the info. I had not heard of that dog breed.
Congratulations Philip 🎉 you have your fur baby at last love the name Lancelot cute take care everyone see you soon 💕🌼🤗
I thought Lancelot was either a Chihuahua or a miniature pincher. Either way, he's very cute 🥰
@@carolesmith6620 I love how attached he has become to Philip. P knows how to bundle and make warm nests for Lancelot. I love it all. Cngrats Philip on your fur baby.
Such a cute, little puppy! And congrats to Philip, the new Dogfather!
I'm lost for words. What a difference a few months made. Everyone loved Lancelot . My heart goes out to you all😢❤
You will love this dog so much. They have a way of working their way into your hearts.
He’s going to need an AirTag. That tiny thing in such a huge home, so many places to hide.
Stephanie, you have not only kept the chateau alive... not to mention brought it back to life... you can do this! Especially with your soft heart.
Exactly my thoughts
Welcome to little lancelot. Looking forward to seeing how je settles in with all the other laland animals especially the peacocks.😅
OMG!!!! The best episode ever!!!! How cute is Lancelot! And how thoughtful was Stephanie, when they were about to take the puppy from his mom....How adorable are Philip and Lancelot!!! This was amazing, what a gorgeous surprise!!!❤❤❤❤
usually they bark as a puppy does the whole night.
Lancelot is just perfect! He fits right into the Lalande crew! So very happy for Phillip! ❤️
Congratulations Philip! You’ll be great doggie daddy!
I had to come back to the first day you got him. He was very lucky to have had you all for his family. ❤
"Little deer" is a perfect description for so adorable and fawn-like a puppy. Congratulations on Lancelot joining the family and many joyous years with dog ahead to you all. I did laugh when Maria pulled up the picture of the painting though. Such joy.😍😍😍
Lancelot has imprinted on Philip. How adorable. Hope all goes well with his training Philip, and Aunt Stephanie relaxes with her new baby responsibilities!
Mummy Stephanie, surely. lol.
OMG throwing doggy treats all over my computer screen!!! Although I'm very partial to large shaggy slobbering dogs, I can see why this little pup and his autumnal coat caught your heart. Stephany, you did a wonderful thing and now you may even have a friend to accompany you on your daily waddles, LOL. May I recommend a body harness rather than a collar to hook your leash. It'll be safer for the doggie who is bound to take off suddenly chasing leaves flying in the wind.
Great advice, a harness is safer for small puppies and they have such sensitive necks. It can be tricky finding ones small enough in the beginning but a cat harness will do fine!
Nice to see Phillip has a dog now. Once the dog is acclimated things will be a lot less nervous. It is a perfect fit!
Lancelot is adorable! I'm certain Phillip has spent hours reading everything there is to know about owning a dog. Lucky Lancelot!
It is fascinating to Watch Stephanie with less aplomb than usual! Very good!!
Oh, Lancelot is adorable! So happy for you, Phillip. I'm sure all at Lalande will be just crazy about the little one.
🤗🐕🦺🤗
Here to rewatch you both welcome Lancelot into your lives, he brought so much joy to all, thinking of you all 💚
Who wants to wager a bet it takes the new dog guard less than a full day to have Stephanie wrapped around his paw. He's adorable.
Yes, I see that happening too😂
I totally agree 😄
Congratulations, Philip! Lancelot will be a great asset to La Lande.
I'm already convinced this little cutie will have a better wardrobe than most of us ♡
Definitely :)
I love this dog...what a sweetheart.
Lancelot is so cute, I can't wait to see him discover the outside for the first time, and all his new friends
Woohoo! Philip finally got a dog! Welcome, Lancelot!
Stephanie you big softie. I thought you’d NEVER let Philip have a dog.❤😊
What a cutie! Completely understand the pause in the diaries, because little Lancelot will need some care and attention from the both of you, having just moved to his forever home. But he will be a great companion for your morning walks, Stephanie 😊 I remember the last time I got a puppy, and the first night, he was so tired, he slept like a log. But the second night, when we went to bed, I think it sunk in, that he was not going back to his mommy, all the siblings, and the family or house, he was used to. So shortly after lights out, he CRIED! Only for a short while, because off course he was comforted and cared for at once. But then, that was it, and he settled in beautifully! He is gone now, but not forgotten 😊
Dogs enrich our lives, they make us more active, and they bring us together. Life will be better with little Lancelot, even if it requires just a bit more work!
My husband was 100% against getting a dog, until I wore him down, and now I think he loves that dog more than me! :)
Same thing happened at our house.
Other way around here. I fell in love with our Labrador Lady after much wishing for a dog from my husband! We have had five labs since her. Every one of them dear to me and all rescues. It has been a few years since our last one passed. My husband was heartbroken and decided he just couldn’t lose another one. Then my mom moved in with us and we were concerned about getting another one because we didn’t want her knocked down. But low and behold my daughter needed us to keep her little lab/border collie mix for a year and my mom adores her, and Lily is so good with my mom. Life is good. Always good with a dog. 🥰
This was pure delight! A true lift of the spirit. Steph, your concern for the pup's and his mom's separation says everything true and good about you. So does your love for Phillip and getting him a much-wanted dog. Much love to you both and gentle scritches for Lancelot.
So adorable and will be a good addition to the Chateau. I bet Philip is on cloud 9.
Molly will be so helpful his first nights at the Chateau! I am sure your cousin will be happy to let her stay with the pup!
Also, no sleeping in anymore🐶🐶
My late MiL had this breed, Prazsky Krysarik. Intelligent, always in for some fun, and highly trainable. She taught him how to dance, and Teffy did as he loved to please her. They lived in a flat, and no barking dogs were allowed. I am so happy for Philip, he will have a real friend with a great personality. Teffy, the little Prazsky thought himself a Doberman. I Hope Lancelot will think of himself as a bit smaller 😉
I’ve taught dog obedience for years and never encountered this breed. I’m really curious, I’ll have to read about it.
@@lucybarrington4634 It's a very old race but only since 2019 officially acknowledged. Mostly only known in the Czech Republic. It is a typical royalty dog, and later farmdog to catch mice, rats, and other pests. I think the breed is know in countries surrounding the republic. Not worldwide. I think that is a plus, not over breeded.
“Lancelot has vomited… and he was very very keen on eating it up.” 😂
Welcome to a life with dogs. ❤
It's stuff like this that makes me fully a cat person. 😂
😳😒
An absolute wonderful commitment to growing one plus one equals 3 !!!
Congratulations and Happy 3rd Anniversary 💞❤
Oh how wonderful for Phillip. His very own dog. Welcome Lancelot. You will live your very best and lucky life at the Chateau 💕
What a lovely addition to the Lalande Team!! Lancelot looks so sweet and adorable! His eyes look intelligent, I would say he is already taking note of whatever is happening around him. I have 5 mini German Pinscher, that they look very similar to Lancelot, and they are very smart and happy dogs. I´m sure you all are going to enjoy his company a lot. One thing, be careful with Lancelot, the hair is very short and this breed suffer from the cold, you may need to buy some woolly sweaters for him. Also when they go outside their height is so short that their tummies and chest get wet from the grass and they can easily catch neumonia. Remember to introduce him to the cat, the peacocks and the hens, and teach him not to chase them. I already love Lancelot!!
Delighted for Philip. Cutest puppie
Oh my gosh, Lancelot is so cute! Welcome little man to the Lalande family! I so look forward to seeing you grow and meeting Molly!!!
Congratulations on your first puppy! I cannot imagine a life without a dog! I imagine you will both begin to feel this as well rather soon. Much love to you all.
That's a very big treat for a small dog, please be careful as that can be a real hazard.
I don’t think you could have asked for a better outcome in the puppy category!!! What a beauty!! So we’ll behaved and quiet!! Much love to you all for a blessed future together!❤️
Lancelot is adorable!
Lucky puppy! ...I hope the many abandoned pups in the overwhelmed shelters find the same...
He is absolutely gorgeous! I am so happy for you both I can already tell he is going to be a wonderful and intelligent companion.
Lancelot is so adorable and loveable, it will be so hard not alowing him on your bed when trained. I think your mum and persy will also love him dearly.
We all do. ❤
Phillip, I highly recommend getting Lancelot a feeding bowl that has partitions in it which will make your puppy eat more slowly and thus help eliminate the throwing up. Watching him eat that meal in the hotel room, I was not surprised that he threw up. I’ve learned this through experience😅
I am so happy for you, Philip! Welcome, Lancelot, to this wonderful household!
I'm not surprised it's a small breed, can't see Steph having a big golden, but I would have predicted fuzz and fluff! I thought it was a miniature pincher at first, since he's so angular. I hope he makes you all very happy as I know you'll give him lots of love.❤
Oh my heavens....Lancelot has the most wonderful eyes!! Congratulations to you both as you enter into puppy parenthood together! 🐾🦴
Congratulations Stephanie and Philip!Lancelot is such a good boy!! The way he exited the room with his tail between his legs in the closing scene made me chuckle, it was ridiculously adorable 🤭 Stephanie, I look forward to watching your heart soften towards becoming a dog mom 😊 ❤ it’s inevitable, don’t fight it!
It is 12th May 2024 and have no idea if you will ever see this! I have just rewatched this delightful video. I laughed thinking about your nerves, uncertainty and maybe fear as you arrived to meet him.
Didn't take long ,a few minutes, to the complete change and the fore runner of this delightful little scraps total domination of Laland.
I have a feeling that many folk may now have themselves a Prague Ratter.
Congratulations! There's nothing like the love of a dog. Stephanie, despite your reservations, still getting Philip a dog was super kind. May he bring both of you lots of joy and laughter. x
Awe poor little Lancelot sounds like got a motion sickness from the train . Glad 😊 ♥️ you got a puppy 🐶!!!!
Lancelot! The perfect name....congrats on your newest family member! 💕
Congratulations on the arrival of puppy Lancelot, he is adorable! He will soon have everyone wrapped around his little paw. Have fun getting to know each other.🙏❤️
Watched this for the first time after hearing the heartbreaking news about Lancelot's untimely passing.💔 You brought so much joy to everyone who knew & loved you and also to those who watched you from a distance. RIP Sweet Lancelot. 💜💚
Adorable. He looks like a fawn. 🦌
Yes, so cute, he's a little well behaved gentleman, he suits Philip so well 1
I'm so proud of you Stephanie and so happy for Philip! He seems to be a great dog. Great choice whomever chose that breed. I'm sure he'll get much love from all the lalanders. Philip must be in seventh heaven. As always much love to the both of you.🐕❤🎉
You have sheep, peacocks and chickens. Those are creatures. You’ll be great! You have loads of help ❤ he’s very cute 🥰
It's a good sign that even while Lancelot's tail was saying that he was unsure of his new surroundings, his eyes and ears were showing that he is a keen observer. His curiosity will overcome his fear! I predict that you will soon have a little princeling trotting about LaLande, master of all that he surveys. Make sure that he understands that the chickens are not snacks since the breed has a strong hunting instinct.
I was right on my bet with my husband.... Steph was surprising Philip with a dog 🐕 😊
What did you win? 😉
So happy Phillip got a dog. He’s adorable! Stephanie what a wonderful way to show your love for Phillip ❤😊
He is adorable! 🐾🐾 Made me cry! Love his name! Congratulations on your new addition to the Chateau!
Lancelot is going to be very indulged! Love to everyone and congratulations Philip!
Congratulations Phillip on your little friend. Can’t wait for him to meet Molly, he needs the company
EEEEE! Lancelot is so precious! Congratulations on the puppy. You will quickly find that you aren’t sure how you lived without him. Dogs are a special joy different from any other pet.
I’m so happy for you both! Sir Lancelot is so perfect.. in cuteness, travel size, easy care and so loveable. His ears are unbelievably cute and those eyes as he looks at Philip and Stephanie!!! 🐾❤️
Ah, finally. What a lovely little creature!
Puppies love hot water bottles and ticking alarm clocks at night to relax and sleep
Oh joy! He's not too different looking in size and coloration from my miniature long-haired dachshund Jojo. THAT doggie is NOT known for "no barking". But he is admired wherever we go and has an enormous personality and more than a normal amount of loyalty to the main momma. Me. Your new buddy is absolutely beautiful and I cant wait to see how that lil 5 pounder shakes up life at Lalande. I'm very happy for Phillip. And how charming (human) to see you Ms Upbeat, experience some anxiety...!
Animals bring so much joy into your life!
Absolutely precious! How can one cope with such cuteness ❤
Little dog, little bladder.
Beautiful, well behaved, little chap. Congratulations on your new addition!
I am not a dog person, especially because of the barking part (as I am a quiet person), but this little guy is SO sweet! Phillip must be in heaven!
Glad to see that you made it back home safe. We know something has happen.
It must be terrible for you not to be communicating with us. Maybe someone Can explain what’s happened. It must be very awful. Instead of leaving us hanging not knowing what’s going on, no matter how bad things are we’re supportive.
I pray that God gives you the courage to deal with what you must be facing. hopefully no one was physically hurt and everything else has has a solution. God bless you.
I knew it as soon as the last video aired, and you said it was something Philip has wanted for a long time! The dog is a perfect match for him! You are going to make great doggie parents!😊
I have three Prague Ratters, mom, dad and pup! I wish I had a whole pack of these rat dogs! They were bred to keep rats out of the castles in Prague. You will adore the new member or your family! Congratulations!!!🎉❤
This precious little puppy..looks towards you both..as mummy and daddy. Our pets outlook..is to love you for a lifetime ❤️
Their early months should be looked upon as ...first experiences, as is for any baby ❤️
Patience is needed.. as time goes by everything gets easier!
We've heard there has been an accident, I pray it's not too bad, sending much love and prayers. ❤🙏🏻
One of the contractors has had an accident. Oliver mentioned it in their Travels with my friend vlog. Stephanie will not have another vlog until Thursday.
This vlog makes me so happy!!! Finally Phillip got a dog Lancelot!! Yayyyyy!!! Thank you Stephany! 😍🤗🤎🤎🤎 he’s so cuuuute….. 😍🤗🤎
Little Lancelot is going to need lots of understanding, gentleness and calm as he adapts to being away from his litter and mum, plus a new language and all the sights and smells of a new home with a new household. The tail between the legs indicates that he is feeling unsure and afraid also, so the days and weeks ahead of having reassuring, calm, quality time again and again with Phillip and Stephanie will make a big difference for the little fellow. Welcome to the life long commitment that is dog ownership. It is a big commitment and yet so very rewarding. There is nothing quite like the loyal friendship of one's own dog. May the coming days ahead all go well as Lancelot gets settled.
That meal looks as big as him 😅,,,,Love the name you choose,,,fit for a chateau 😊
Sweet doggy. Congrats Philip.
🐕 Awwwww itty bitty baby boy, love it. Stephanie you have given Phillip his heart desire! Lovely so sweet. Enjoy Phillip!!! 🐕
I have a min pin, the happiest and most playful dog I have ever owned. Great choice Stephanie 🎉
She said it's a Prague Ratter, Pražský Krysařík
Dogs do complete a home.
Congratulations to Lancelot for the arrival to his forever home LaLande and many many years of love to him and from him, Blessings, Love to all,
I’m so happy for you both 😊 Lancelot is adorable ❤
He is so incredibly adorable!❤❤❤I am in love with Lancelot.
You could have adopted a dog from a shelter (even a young one) that would make the whole "taken away from the family" obsolete.
I wish little Lancelot and you all a long happy life together.
Good luck through the puppy phase. Exhausting but worth it. Take lots of photos and videos. They grow so fast ❤️
So sorry to read about the accident mentioned in the video’s description … hope no one was hurt and also hope that it wasn’t the chapel. Sending love to you all and to lil Lancelot
What accident?
@@PinkRose_1 read the description
@@catherinemylesjamiecarso-sc9cs oh God, I hope it's nothing bad.
Hopefully find out soon. Don’t want to speculate too much but I read elsewhere it was to do with a contractor. Really hoping everyone is ok.
He’s so adorable and his name suits him ❤. Dogs and cats are such wonderful animals they bring the best out in us. I’m glad Philip finally got his dog ❤
Congrats to Phillip on becoming a dog dad! Stephanie I think you will grow to enjoy a dog ❤
If you put a clock in his bed wrapped in a blanket. he will settle down, they feel its their mother's heartbeat.
