Maybe it’s lucky timing on my part, but this video is right at my “level” and this was wonderful information to learn! Thank you for sharing this lesson
I have just found your channel and like the simple explanations, however, I get lost as a beginner as I don't know what notes the chords are composed of which makes progressions difficult to understand. If you haven't done so, would you be able to suggest to a beginner like me, on which chords/progressions to learn first or is this a mammoth undertaking?
My "Music Basics" playlist can help you learn what notes are contained within the basic chords. I also have some older videos where I talk about basic chord progressions, and how to play basic chord progressions in different keys. Thank you for watching. I'm glad you found the video helpful. I have taught private lessons in the past, though currently I am not teaching privately in person. I'm in the process of creating my Patreon page, and will be offering periodic online group lessons and limited private online sessions with patrons. Stay tuned!
Thank you for your kind words. Highlighted keys would be helpful, I hope to add that feature in the future, especially as we begin to explore more complex chords.

There is certainly hope for you! I applaud you for your desire to continue learning at 68 years young! I'll be turning 66 this month (May), and I want to continue learning too. Then I can share what I learn here!
Had no idea of the purpose of the 251 progression until right now, excellent & informative, can’t wait to try it now, thank you 👍👍
Once you learn to hear the 2 5 1 progression, you'll hear it all over the place!
