    Nice project and thanks for the tutorial. The cool part about my MobiLinkd TNC4 is the Bluetooth connection to my iPad, and its internal battery. Looking fwd to when more of our radio gear connects via Bluetooth. -KD6FOV

    Where do you get all the components? I seen the link has the pcb and chip but not the rest of the components. I love buikding stuff like this. I don’t know what a tnc does but I like kit builds.

      The parts can be had from your favorite parts house (mouser, Jameco, digikey, Etc) there is a bill of materials in the description. You use a TNC to connect computers to computers to communicate with others over radio waves.

      @ yes sir so you have to order the components separately? So tnc can use for Aprs and WINLINK?

    • @temporarilyoffline
      @temporarilyoffline  14 годин тому +1

      @All_Things_Radio yes and yes. As well as packet radio networking

      @@temporarilyoffline well I’m definitely getting it now when it comes back in stock. I will go ahead and download the pdf and get the components coming in. If you don’t mind me asking what was the cost of the components? I know that varies from dealer to dealer just a estimate

    Nice tutorial. Query: Why is it that every time a youtuber of note reviews/demonstrates a product it gets sold out 😆

    I would like to make one suggestion TO. That when you write the part Value ( 100K ohms) on your parts sheet, that you Also Note the Part # that is shown
    on the PCB. Example 0.1mf cap is C1 or C12. Or 1K resistor is R1 etc. That way you aren’t searching for where it goes on the PCB. Great job and its Fun doing the builds. Just waiting for the application video next. How are we going to use this thing! 73, Kevin NZ1I

    They're a lot smaller than my TAPR TNC-IIs.

    If they'd put VARA firmware in it instead of ancient packet I'd get one.
