- Shed Visits are one of the great things about the hobby, seeing how others do things, learning new tips and you get to see some wonderful examples of the exhibition budgerigar.
In this first “Shed Talk with”, we get to visit the shed of Mr Rick Watts at Watts Manor. Rick is a champion breeder and judge who has won many Best in Shows and CCs with his birds. Famous for his lutinos, Rick’s shed is full of quality birds throughout in all varieties.
Rick talks first about his breeding setup and then we get a chance to hear his views on some of his birds. How he selects pairs for breeding the use of the various varieties in his breeding team. We also get to see his latest project, the crests and learn a bit about how intends to try and take this variety forward.
Filmed on location you can hear and feel the activity in Rick’s birdroom. The noise does not district from his words of wisdom built over of decades of breeding exhibition budgerigars of the highest quality.

Hi Md Kamal, the problem with filming in a noisy aviary. I did try and edit the sound but that was the best I could get without the voices sounding really bad
Very poor filming and even worse sound quality, if your going to travel to a fanciers birdroom then i suggest you buy some decent equipment i have watched other shed talk videos and they are just as bad
