The thing I like about this session is her mic handling. How cool was that walk away "echo" from the mic? One of the few artists that know how their voice/mic relationship well and use it.
Ahh that emotion was amazing. First time hearing lp. I was very impressed And for country. Dude new country is trash. But I think you will really enjoy Chris Stapleton. His vocal range is rediculous. I listen to Tyler Childers and Colter wall as well but you first reaction to country should be Chris. It's more blues then country but still seriously worth the listen

My opinion: It’s like Stevie Nicks and Dolly Parton had a baby, and LP was born. She has the depth and feel of Stevie with the vibrato and writing abilities of Dolly. And her style is a buttoned down mick jagger look without the jacket...

I see how you could hear Stevie, she has a bit of controlled rasp . I also hear a touch of Grace Slick. That said all of the things she can do with her voice puts her in a small pocket of people. The mixture of textures that she produces with her voice is phenomenal. I live that you've done reactions to so many of her songs. I am a fan of her and then I also love Soulfly and old Sepultura, but it's rare that my friends who listen to one side of that even know who the artists on the side are.

Love it. Lol. I appreciate the work it takes to train a voice for those kind of vocals. I have a friend in the UK who has a heavy metal band and he trains constantly to keep his voice up for it. What I appreciate about your reactions is that you're fair and you keep your mind open. Even if you're not feeling a song, you give merit when it's due. I’m bowser, and my buddy that i have been working with fir the past half year is sporto. I’ve tried other guests on my channel, but i feel sporto fits the mold here, and we have the same likes. For the most part. We dig the same things in music as we basically known each other for 25 years. We connect and feed off each other in our videos. The channel has come a long way since the beginning. And I honestly don’t like any of the videos I’ve dine when I’m by myself. We mostly do metal on the channel, but have tested our music tastes to the core with different genres. And found tons of bands and singers that we found amazing along the way. The pictures in the back are old metal records that we set up so the background wasn’t so blah. (Kind of a tongue in cheek response to not being easily catagorized) She's best known for the song, "The Story". She also does a great live cover of Radiohead's "Creep".
Maybe, just maybe, if you could open up your mind, like wide open, you could understand. They are both qreat artists, and when you put your own soul into that Art, you don't like to be compared to *anyone* in the whole world. I understand where you come from and the desire to transcend everything that came before you, but that usually takes years, decades, I'm pretty sure Stevie Nicks was compared herself to someone in the past. I have been blown away by LP and I absolutely adore her style, it's an amalgam of a lot of great stuff, early dylan, nicks and more... sometimes comparisons are a deferred compliment.
