I love this foundation and concealer, it works wonders for me. But I also have exxxtra oily skin, it works best for oily skin. If your skin is dry, you need to use the oil and make sure that you let your skin absorb it. Applying the foundation directly to the oil will cause separation. The concealer and foundation dry SUPER quick, so your should work in sections to avoid patchy-ness. Also, that is 100% not your undertone. Try something more cool.

The foundation is supposed to be worked with quickly (and in sections) with a few drops of wake and bake hydration oil. It dries down really quickly and is hard to moves once it is completely dry because its transfer-proof.

When you put mascara on your lash extensions I cried!!! I’m an Esthetician/lash stylist and a quick tip for you is if your extensions ever look dusty after doing makeup, take any lash growth serum with a spoolie and brush through them, it’ll give them a nice coat and make them look more black and glossy! Mascara clumps your extensions together and is just a mess for your lash stylist to do your fills! 💕

In a world where 'influencer-wannabes' just diss products left right and centre for clicks, many times when there's nothing wrong with the product, it really speaks volumes for your upbringing when you say "not saying the product is bad, it's not working for me" instead. While beauty bakerie does have its flaws you have to admire a brand that dedicates itself to making products for people of color whose skin colors aren't usually represented in bigger, more popular brands. The foundation and concealer may be yellow but that doesn't mean they arent going to work for someone
I know the shades work for other people! i was just shocked, i’ve never really seen yellow foundation before :)
I mean I don't know some people (including myself, although I acknowledge I look very pink in my profile picture for some reason ) have really yellow undertones because of our ethnicity (Mestizos,Asians, North Africans etc) so those foundation shades match well.

It's literally so funny, after you beat your face in every video, your personality instantly changes. hahah
Ok! So! I have dermatitis so I'm expert level at dry skin. Here's some of my most useful discoveries:
- cleansing balms to remove make up. I use a UK brand called Botanics but have heard the Physicians Formula one is quite good. I also sometimes apply the balm before showering to protect my skin, then remove it after. Which leads me on to...
- apply a good emollient (or even straight up vaseline) before showering. It makes a massive difference. Dry skin hates hot water
- I use ELFs facial oil, either before make up or mixed in with make up. I also stay very far away from the cakey foundations, I use more lightweight dewey ones and use a mineral make up for concealer (Bella Pierre would be great for your skin tone, its a really good brand overall And actually I'm yet to find a better concealer) Another pretty good one is Lily lolo.
- I sometimes mix moisturiser in with make up, even after having just applied it/an oil
- Ive been using milky mist a lot, especially after applying make up (in leiu of a setting spray) but when its finished I'm considering straight up mixing an emollient into a liquid and using this as a spray
- Products that have been great for me have been a good emollient moisturiser (I cant recommend a US/CA brand I'm afraid but google it, the ones in big tubs with the boring packaging are usually best), ELFs facial oil, a good spf 20 day moisturiser and (this is probably not dermatologist-approved) the little soft black eyebrow spooleys you can get off of ebay are really good for gently brushing away dry skin in small areas such as the hairline, eyebrows etc. Be very gentle!

People have a lot of problems with that foundation/concealer. You HAVE to use it with the oil. And you can't let the oil sink in. As soon as you put on the oil, you have to use put on the foundation and immediately use the concealer. It's not you. It's the product. It's a waterproof formula, that's why it's so difficult to work with. But imo, no foundation should take that much finessing, waterproof or not.

I love that she's so honest, but fair. The whole bit with the foundation and concealer doing that weird thing and she was still able to say "but that just could be my skin." Not a lot of people do that. Most try something like that and would be quick to point the finger at the product. I like that she's willing to be humble and say that it could be on her. I would love love love to see her do a full face of Flower Beauty. They are available in Canada and their site ships there as well.
