I love this! From start to finish your words were spot on! Shelee’s course is awesome and the FB group access to everyone who has taken the course and are willing to help out (including Shelee) is invaluable! You of course are a pioneer my friend and I have enjoyed watching you experiment and grow with this technique! Beautiful outcome! Love all the colors. ❤️
1st of all I totally agree with your comments Shelee‘s technique is definitely high sophisticated and yours as well. From my point of view the main point is to have the right together working ingredients and to figure out alternatives in case some of them aren’t available. I have meanwhile tested several ingredients alternatives and figured out the ones which working best for me. Your actual deconstructed hide&reveal bloom is due to the very well chosen color combination amazing as always. It’s always fun and inspiring to follow you along your fine arts journey Jessica👍🏻⭐️⭐️⭐️😘
You have such wonderful advice for people!! You are also so right about starting with one technique and sticking with it. I'm on a fixed income so I can't ever afford the classes or events but I've learned the bloom and now I've been leaning your technique and your pouring medium which is so much better than others. Thank you so much for your videos, they are always wonderful to watch!!❤
So beautiful, as always. Thank you for sharing your insight. Very encouraging. And I love the respect you show for other artists. Your outlook and transparency are a direct reflection on your awesome soul!
I learned about pour painting from the Shelee art course. i have been a fine artist for more than 40 years. I had never heard of the fluid art world until 3 years ago. I was intrigued and thought it was something I incorporate with my fine art. I am so glad I took Shelee´s course. I struggled less with learning this world of fluid art. I agree Jessica with you when you are learning something new learn from the masters. And practice practice practice! There are fluid art techniques that can be learned pretty quickly this is not one of them. You are a gift to the art world. 💖💖💖
Spot on Jessica, I also think it’s the same with any craft whether it be painting, sewing, baking etc. Some people don’t have any imagination/skill of their own so they copy other people and then don’t give credit where credit is due. It’s a pet peeve of mine! This painting is stunning 🤩
This video with your narrative was so helpful and true!! I can’t thank you enough for teaching me (and so many others) through your videos. You are absolutely amazing!! ❤
Thank you Jessica for your wisdom. I enjoyed your video of your deconstructed hide and reveal. I am still practicing your hide and reveal. I am glad you mention private classes with you. I am very interested in doing it with you. This year Dallas won’t work. Neither will Spokane. But I am hoping they will do it again in Spokane. I would love to hear more about 1:1. Hope to hear from you. ❤️❤️
I remember the experimental stage! So many different recipes to try and duplicate what Australian floetrol does. In the end nothing can duplicate Australian floetrol😂 at least in the United States, but what fun that was experimenting and seeing what everybody did and shared. I kind of miss that time in the journey, it was exciting!
Shelee's course was such an eye-opener for me...and I tried it, then laid it down for three-ish years. I picked it back up....maybe a year and a half ago. I fairly stink at the mouth blown Blooms, but I love playing with the sub-techniques, as it were. I'm working on my "splatter blows"...and kind of everything else. I'm hardly "good", but I enjoy the practice. I will see you in Dallas! (I'm helping Brian and Nate.) This painting of yours is pretty damned cool! I suck at sticking with one technique. Super spiffy with UV light.
I totally agree with your comments on learning, I did the course, but just cannot blow out a bloom. I use a hairdryer, what a mess, but so much fun. The back of your canvas is so clean, I got paint everywhere. I have run out of walls, so now I do pots and rocks.
Hi Jessica, I have told you before that I watch a lot of fluid artists and you, by far, are my favorite. I finally broke down and purchased the Australian Flood Floetrol, and WOW, what a difference in cells. So, thank you! I also ordered your baby spinner, which should arrive next week. I am very excited. Thank you in advance. I have a request: would you make a video on how you frame and sign your art? You also don't seem to worry about getting paint from your fingers on the back of the canvas; another reason I am curious about how you frame. Thank you for sharing your knowledge; a lot of artists don't do that, and I greatly appreciate your help. Deb
I really appreciate your comment. Thank you so much. Yes, the Australian Floetrol is magical. I’m glad you bit the bullet and weren’t disappointed. Thanks for the suggestion, I’ll work on that
