You can use her as a counter pick to champs that have weak early game, start her with e and farm til 3 and then it's all in time, plus the knock back on her e will help her push enemy minions under their own tower so your wave can crash and you can roam.
Blood Dragon Briar, Deep Sea Briar, Dog Girl Briar. Oddly enough she could maybe pull of Project if she's in league with the more chaotic Project members. Striker (Football/Soccer) if they do sport skins again. Could see Battle Academia Briar as like a delinquent student. Don't think she's suited for Star Guardian. A top tier idea would be a winter skin where she puts her hands in her coat pockets and pulls them out while she's enraged. Her coat could also open up while enraged for the reckless side. Could mix with Blood Moon, making her a snow maiden ghost.
I believe it’s been confirmed by the character designer that Briars age is that of a young woman in college so around 20- 23. If that helps clear things up.
They specifically reference her being similar to college age in the champion insight. Also on the Necrit video he discussed her age and came to the conclusion it was around early 20s based on math.
To be honest i was hoping for a more horror character, I don't mind her but the teasers were very misleading of course it was on purpose as they admitted but of course people are going to be disappointed since they set it up for them to be also she feels so clunky the play

I bet if we look at her champion concept there are like 5 way cooler concepts of her and Riot went with the most mainstream one, like they usually do on these, especially if it's a female character, don't want to alienate the e girls and weebs by making a design that isn't "literally me OMG UWU" or "Waifu material"
I love the sheer gremlin infection that playing Briar brings. Nicky nails a snipe across the map and instantly goes "OOOOHHHHHH" as if in hype and surprise at the sheer LEAP he's are about to take. This giddy excitement and jumping someone is just perfect.
Briar is the most affecting so far, with how much action she started on social media and with riot muting any word that associates with “foot” on Twitter. Truly the best champion of 2023

On her thiccness: I'd say a good justification riot could have said is that her leg muscles would be more developed since they have to also support the weight of the pillory and she does a lot of acrobatics while her hands are restrained so her legs have to exert more power.

I think the "issues" around her are not as severe as people make them out to be. She's showing feet - so what? Feet are not sexual, despite the weirdos that are into them a little too much. She has thick thighs - well yeah, when you have your hands locked up 24/7 you need some other way to interact with things, thus her legs are way more muscular than her arms. The age thing as well, she doesn't read like a minor to me.

I actually think the Iv bag explanation makes sense to me, and I don’t see the big deal about it. If you were to make an earth elemental, you would make them big and blocky. If you make a water elemental, you make them flowy and shapeless. Briar is essentially a blood elemental, it makes sense her body type would resemble a blood drop, thin on top since blood is a liquid that drips, but it’s thicker then water, so it has some weight on the bottom. 3. The amount of attention the Riot socials are putting on her feet is really weird, for the splash I give it a slight pass since it’s to draw attention to the stakes, though they definitely could have made that more clear
I,ll be frank. I didn't even NOTICE how much Briar 'presented' her feet in her splash art before someone pointed it out. I was busy being kind of spooked by the deep-sea fish eyes she had and the dagger-like teeth. And the claws. ...Am I the weird one?
I personally think her design is pretty much perfect. Few champions have such a tight relationship with the player. In the lore she is able to get rid of her restraints whenever she wants (W) and go full on psycho killer mode, but she still enjoys the peace of mind that the hemolith provides, and has a dim capacity to recall the hemolith (E has more than 2x the cooldown of W). And regarding her body design (taken from a r/leagueoflegends analysis): it makes sense that her hips are wide but her torso is small. With the pillory, she could only exercise her legs, and the lack of a heart means that blood can't be pumped to her upper body. I think that a lot of champions' body shapes do make sense with their lore: even if extremely generic, it makes sense that all those Anime-like fighters are muscular (except Sylas). Obviously Riot prefers to make conventionally attractive characters, which is boring, but I appreciate that it at least makes sense with their story and gameplay in most cases.

I'm a huge sucker for macabre, grotesque details like this, which I think is a major factor on why I adore those aspects of Briar's character design so much. The monster teeth, cataracts eyes, blood-tipped hair (It'd be absolutely PERFECT if they made it more crimson instead of magenta, but it's still a dope look), and I still can't get over how hilarious it is seeing her prancing around with a literal torture device around her neck, of all things. Creepy potential loli intent aside, Briar is a very fun champion, and I look forward to reading more about our cannibalistic goblin in the future!

I think Briar design is cool it's just that the feet are under a spotlight making it the focus of attention. From the dev blog riot put out about her I can now understand why that is, still a bit skeptical that there wasn't any sexual reason, and the leaks did ruin the reveal and all. Really, for me it's the skin that makes it actually uncomfortable because their reasoning barely applies there and they still went out of their way to show off her naked toes. If it was just the base, that mightve been a little weird, at least for me, but that can be explained away, in the champion model it actually makes visual sense. They honestly should have said about Briar's body shape is, " as a prisoner in a pillory, Briar is not able to work out or use her upper body much and so atrophy has kicked in a bit while her lower body is free to move and do as she likes so she has more muscle in her legs." Briar gives me the same mixed feelings as mundo where they want the champ to come off as creepy and a horror type but she just makes cute little quips constantly which leaves me with tonal whiplash. Lore wise she’s pretty unique tho.
Also her theme is blood and vampires and there's not a single drop of blood in her splashart or her videos (or is pink). I don't know if that is a creative decision but seems more like censorship for pleasing China.

When it comes to the whole age controversy, I have to wonder whether Riot took inspiration from Guilty Gear. From what I understand, Gears from this franchise are living humanoid bioweapons born to wreak havoc. Since their primary purpose is to destroy, they age physically very fast. Sounds familiar? For example, there is this character called Sin, a Gear/human hybrid who is age wise around three years old, but who looks like a very muscular man in his twenties. Also Briar kinda reminds me of Happy Chaos when it comes to her design, with the white hair, optimistic personality and the fact that she has blue skin in her launch skin.
She looks like she could've been pulled straight from GG. I mean replace the pillory with a big ol key and change her colors a bit and she's basically aba.
I mean, with actually Sol Badguy in the game with that one croma, it kind of makes sense. But this whole age and body disparity is a common trope to my knowledge. Jojos Bizarre Adventure has the most jacked 25 year ass bodies ever, and the protag is like, 13.
My only real issue with her is that i was expecting an actual vampire character. Having a goofy silly character just kinda killed it for me as i wanted something more akin to warwick or if you have seen him Lifestealer in dota.
There are a lot of things i feel about this champ. For one, riot being absolutly hilarious. Making its feet the banner art of one of the offical leauge twitter acounts, or that post about muting words and they all being a version of the word feet. All the while people go mad about it having feet in its splash art. Whoever pushed this, is an absolutle legend. Rant: The second thing,the age thing and all. Yes, it looks young. Yes, it has an hourglass figure minus boobs. Yes it looks cute. But its on record that the creator wanted to make a loli vampire girl. Wich in lamens terms means: Cute vampire girl. Dont act loli is more then cute girls. It isnt. Thats the whole apeal behind it. Yes there are people that are weird about it, but thats with everything. And we dont judge a group based on a few outliers, now do we? In general i would have made it even younger, like 3-4. But keept everything the same. That would have made it much better. When she was first talked about I was excite, and now thanks to leaks her splash was adorable(the feet thing is the one flaw) hearing her voice lines were great, the concept art was that was seen and her original design that was her using her blood to make blade and thanks to the pilary she used her legs to fight. After seeing her kit it was set that I definitely going to main her. Hell I have literally made a baldar gate version of her with the dark urge and I’ve multi classed her rogue barbarian.
The icing on the cake is that the artist of the splash art used Briar's feet as the thumbnail for his Artstation post. A professional shit poster, if I do say so myself. Also, It's kinda weird that you kept insisting that she's a "child character" when RIOT themselves stated that she's a woman on the very same page that you got your information out of. There is one minor thing that I don't exactly care for though- She makes Jinx look OLD by making Jinx's version of "crazy" really annoying whereas her writing seems more competent in a way. Jinx just...isn't THAT on the nose. Arcane was the first strike for Jinx's age, but Briar now shows just how badly we need an update on her...

Personally I'm fine with briar. I only take issue when people can't separate reality from fiction. That's when we should worry imo. Otherwise, all's good. I'm excited for her to come out, because she looks SUPER fun! Plus i love building lifesteal so even better with Briar :3
I understand your opinion and point you have made, however I disagree. From my point of view this character has too many design flaws. Its lore is not just boring, but copied from other existing characters as with the previous champion (Naafiri = bootleg Xolaani). In Briar's case, its failed Black Rose experiment number 4, that only ridicules lore of LB. On design point, it is just "vampire loli" with "manic pixie dream girl" character (read Noxian Jinx). They tried to make it interesting by making Briar a homunculi, but there is no justification for making stupid hornybait with design of its clothes, legs and acursed exposed and highlighted feet. The only bit I force with headcanon to be at least unique is that Briar was created as a weapon with no intend of having a character or identity, hence my headcanon for Briar: agendered it/its. Besides that, we have another ex-con champion next to Sylas. But one of them at least expanded the lore in positive way and was a complex character. Gameplaywise I think there was a missunderstanding. That kit screams for me: Tank! - CC, being able to stick to the carry till it dies, yet they are discouraging that logical move by giving it %hp cost of skills and ad scaling for extra ar&mr. It's almost a week since they released Briar, but it was so disappointing I just now decided to look into it out of boredom and I REGRET IT. Should have quited any content from this IP completely, not just league, but LoR and sphere of league c-creators. The longer this year goes on the more lore I loved suffers.
I think she was inspired a lot by the crimson court in darkest dungeon. Seeing her passive is named the same as the disease you will eventually get from the place. To anyone who doesn't know, the crimson court in darkest dungeon is filled with barons, lords and ladies but as a sort of mosquito human/monster look. The disease your characters will contract, the crimson curse, makes them increasingly hungry for blood. Over time it gets worse until they start to waste away unless you give them a vial of blood to drink so the curse subsides for awhile. Also her restraints look a lot like the iron crown that darkest dungeon is known for.
When she was created, she was designed as an adult, thus the quirky silly side of her becuase she was probably isolated for so long it wasnt able to keep up her with actual age. Overall an amazing champion.
My only thought's on Briar going in is that she's a neat champion design that it thankfully tame compared to other recent releases. But my only issue is she is, on all fronts, a feast or famine champion. So I know she's going to be wildly polarizing since her only two states are 'useless' and 'unstoppable'

I think she would classify as a homunculus (like FMA Brotherhood) so her aging and mental maturity are kinda skewered but in my opinion her design is still good for Riot's standard of female design; also am I the only one who feels like Riot is incapable to make a design whit any kind of dirt or grime on them, I mean Warwick lives in the sewers, shows and Brair literally came out of prison, Elko Jinx and Zery live in Zaun, Jinx and Ziggy's have shit blow up in there face every other hour, etc. and yet non of them have a significant speck of dirt on them
So about the lore, there's a discord screenshot from Riot Lexical going around where she says NO, Briar is not getting a color story and that Riot is looking into other ways of telling a champions lore that have a wider reach and more storytelling methods than color stories, which there are SO MANY little pros and cons and underlying reasons to this new approach that I don't have the time or energy to ramble about but long story short, the lore is a complicated issue for Riot right now and I'm really hoping they make an official statement on it soon or people are going to be VERY mad
ykw, im gonna say it, i really like here visual design, in its entirity. the whole fleshiness and roundedness of her proportions and her unnaturally smooth, glossy skin, really sells her as this synthetic compound molded into human form, its super uncanny and super cool. now, could these all just be excuses to make a thick vampire girl? of course, and knowing Riot August, they probably are, bot god damn it its cool and i want people to see it for that.
I prefer the little gremling girl type than the Zoe extremely coorky type. An trying to figure out how old she is weird, because like Zac she's an experiment so not "real" age, but she have a teenager body but mentally 10 years old. I don't know Briar is not a real person.
Personally, I feel like thw thighs are only weird if you're paying attention to that stuff, ...says a lot about where some of y'all's heads at... But I like her whole entire thing going on, she actually became aware of her abilities and what she is, but instead of using that to take over, the usual route riot (or Noxian champions really...) Goes, she wants to see the world outside the cells and knows if she needs to, she can release the power. THAT'S GOOD STORY WRITING! and she's not locked into a "what next" scenario like gwen and akshit. And I believe the rose are watching her, to see what she does, they probably didn't know creatures like briar could become self aware, or even, seek out a different path in life instead of being blood-craving, killing machines and thus rather than lock her back up, they wanna see what she does. In other words, they'll be monitoring her from the distances and see how things pan out.
Hot Take: Riot could have very easily justified designing her as a character with larger legs if they said she was always designed with the pillary in mind. That way, we could assume Briar naturally used her legs far more than her arms for basically everything, since her arms always restrained. We already see her do all kinds of stuff with her legs like jumping jacks, kicking and more, just cuz they are the one part of her body not restrained by anything. And since she spends at least half of most games only attacking with her legs, its understandable from a gameplay perspective to make her body-shape more leg focused. The "wanting to shape her like a blood drop" is one of the worst attempts at justification I've seen in awhile. It looks stupid as hell and just makes the devs and artists look kinda sus. (A response they could have avoided if they didn't just go "Zoe is an ancient being". The 10000 year old loli excuse that creeps will gladly take up.)
I think it's interesting that because I didn't have ANY pre-notions that it was potentially going to be a loli, when I first saw her, I did not think she looked like a child at all. Young adult or teen, sure, absolutely (and yes I realize that a teen can be/is considered a child too) but none of her proportions make me think she's a child. So I'm wondering if that expectation skewed people's view of her design. Necrit has also pointed out that she is technically an adult. But even he, in his initial video about Briar, was very convinced that she was a child when her splash art came out.
I wanna see interactions with Darius. With his most recent comic it feels like some doubt was put in him, so him seeing a child struggle with her humanity (or do better than him with it) despite being made to be a weapon would be pretty cool.

I get that you need to rant about some things, but the way design works at such a high degree as riot does, the blood droplet bag is really the type of work they will incorporate. Her clothes help to tell this. They needed her shape to make the clothes a droplet shape.
She looks to be late teens/early twenties. The designer also stated she's early 20s. She just has a naïve personality. That body is NOT a body of a child, even in her splash art. Lots of women have that body type, and I'm tired of everyone just assuming that "Small chest/short = Child". They do the same with Jinx who is an adult in LoL. Petite women exist, theyre not children.

Man, I find people are HORRIBLE at accurately guessing age off of physical proportions, in fiction and in real life, especially cuz a lot of the "it looks like a child to me" arguments would include many adult people, women in particular, and I've seen similar things happen, where women with smaller breasts especially, but really any smaller features, are deemed "childlike" simply based off of said proportions, and then, especially over the internet, a bunch of ppl get their panties in a twist in a pedo debate, over an adult woman who was just trying to be an adult woman. So my take is, "Are they legally an adult? Are they mentally an adult? If the answer to both questions is yes, have whatever physical preferences you want." You can use her as a counter pick to champs that have weak early game, start her with e and farm til 3 and then it's all in time, plus the knock back on her e will help her push enemy minions under their own tower so your wave can crash and you can roam.

On her thiccness: I'd say a good justification riot could have said is that her leg muscles would be more developed since they have to also support the weight of the pillory and she does a lot of acrobatics while her hands are restrained so her legs have to exert more power.

I think the "issues" around her are not as severe as people make them out to be. She's showing feet - so what? Feet are not sexual, despite the weirdos that are into them a little too much. She has thick thighs - well yeah, when you have your hands locked up 24/7 you need some other way to interact with things, thus her legs are way more muscular than her arms. The age thing as well, she doesn't read like a minor to me.

1. I don’t think she’s a child. In the insight it calls her a woman and compared her to a college student, and I am holding on to that for dear life.
2. I actually think the Iv bag explanation makes sense to me, and I don’t see the big deal about it. If you were to make an earth elemental, you would make them big and blocky. If you make a water elemental, you make them flowy and shapeless. Briar is essentially a blood elemental, it makes sense her body type would resemble a blood drop, thin on top since blood is a liquid that drips, but it’s thicker then water, so it has some weight on the bottom.
3. The amount of attention the Riot socials are putting on her feet is really weird, for the splash I give it a slight pass since it’s to draw attention to the stakes, though they definitely could have made that more clear
I,ll be frank. I didn't even NOTICE how much Briar 'presented' her feet in her splash art before someone pointed it out. I was busy being kind of spooked by the deep-sea fish eyes she had and the dagger-like teeth. And the claws.

You're not. I think if she hits on any fetsh category most specifically it's the "monster girl" one.
My favorite part of her is in her “gremlin” form is the long thin tongue like a lizard or snake.
Her face is like: “No thoughts, Head empty” and I love that.
I personally think her design is pretty much perfect.
Few champions have such a tight relationship with the player.
In the lore she is able to get rid of her restraints whenever she wants (W) and go full on psycho killer mode, but she still enjoys the peace of mind that the hemolith provides, and has a dim capacity to recall the hemolith (E has more than 2x the cooldown of W).
And regarding her body design (taken from a r/leagueoflegends analysis): it makes sense that her hips are wide but her torso is small. With the pillory, she could only exercise her legs, and the lack of a heart means that blood can't be pumped to her upper body.
I think that a lot of champions' body shapes do make sense with their lore: even if extremely generic, it makes sense that all those Anime-like fighters are muscular (except Sylas).
Obviously Riot prefers to make conventionally attractive characters, which is boring, but I appreciate that it at least makes sense with their story and gameplay in most cases.

I'm a huge sucker for macabre, grotesque details like this, which I think is a major factor on why I adore those aspects of Briar's character design so much. The monster teeth, cataracts eyes, blood-tipped hair (It'd be absolutely PERFECT if they made it more crimson instead of magenta, but it's still a dope look), and I still can't get over how hilarious it is seeing her prancing around with a literal torture device around her neck, of all things.
Creepy potential loli intent aside, Briar is a very fun champion, and I look forward to reading more about our cannibalistic goblin in the future!

nah someone at riot just likes feet, the lighting is really bad at showing off the stakes. The earlier version of the concept art had different lighting which had way better lighting that didn't just highlight her feet but her lower legs in general.

I think Briar design is cool it's just that the feet are under a spotlight making it the focus of attention. From the dev blog riot put out about her I can now understand why that is, still a bit skeptical that there wasn't any sexual reason, and the leaks did ruin the reveal and all. But I'd like to add (and most likely regret saying this because I didn't know about the Zoe r34 search thing) Zoe also has her dogs out yet people didn't complain because there wasn't a heavy emphasis on them so it wasn't made to seem like there was any other intentions but with Briar prior to the dev blog to me at least it seemed there was some other intentions with her splashart
Really, for me it's the skin that makes it actually uncomfortable because their reasoning barely applies there and they still went out of their way to show off her naked toes. If it was just the base, that mightve been a little weird, at least for me, but that can be explained away, in the champion model it actually makes visual sense. Briar gives me the same mixed feelings as mundo where they want the champ to come off as creepy and a horror type but she just makes cute little quips constantly which leaves me with tonal whiplash. Lore wise she’s pretty unique tho.
Also her theme is blood and vampires and there's not a single drop of blood in her splashart or her videos (or is pink). I don't know if that is a creative decision but seems more like censorship for pleasing China.

When it comes to the whole age controversy, I have to wonder whether Riot took inspiration from Guilty Gear.
From what I understand, Gears from this franchise are living humanoid bioweapons born to wreak havoc. Since their primary purpose is to destroy, they age physically very fast. Sounds familiar?
For example, there is this character called Sin, a Gear/human hybrid who is age wise around three years old, but who looks like a very muscular man in his twenties.
Also Briar kinda reminds me of Happy Chaos when it comes to her design, with the white hair, optimistic personality and the fact that she has blue skin in her launch skin.
She looks like she could've been pulled straight from GG. I mean replace the pillory with a big ol key and change her colors a bit and she's basically aba.
I mean, with actually Sol Badguy in the game with that one croma, it kind of makes sense. But this whole age and body disparity is a common trope to my knowledge. Jojos Bizarre Adventure has the most jacked 25 year ass bodies ever, and the protag is like, 13.

My only real issue with her is that i was expecting an actual vampire character. Having a goofy silly character just kinda killed it for me as i wanted something more akin to warwick or if you have seen him Lifestealer in dota.

Making its feet the banner art of one of the offical leauge twitter acounts, or that post about muting words and they all being a version of the word feet. When she was first talked about I was excite, and now thanks to leaks her splash was adorable(the feet thing is the one flaw) hearing her voice lines were great, the concept art was that was seen and her original design that was her using her blood to make blade and thanks to the pilary she used her legs to fight. After seeing her kit it was set that I definitely going to main her. Hell I have literally made a baldar gate version of her with the dark urge and I’ve multi classed her rogue barbarian.
The icing on the cake is that the artist of the splash art used Briar's feet as the thumbnail for his Artstation post. A professional shit poster, if I do say so myself.
Also, It's kinda weird that you kept insisting that she's a "child character" when RIOT themselves stated that she's a woman on the very same page that you got your information out of. It's like you're intentionally leaving out that detail to fit the narrative you want to tell. The reason why they're shit posting with the feet pics is that they're making fun of people who are unironically thirsting over a WOMAN's feet.

I personally love Briar! There is one minor thing that I don't exactly care for though-
She makes Jinx look OLD by making Jinx's version of "crazy" really annoying whereas her writing seems more competent in a way. Jinx just...isn't THAT on the nose. Arcane was the first strike for Jinx's age, but Briar now shows just how badly we need an update on her...
On the same post the weird I.V bag description is, they say she's at college graduate years, idk why people are focusing on this "child" thing so much after is already clear she isn't one

Also let's talk about her personality, when Jinx was released I never associated her with a child, and for me Briar has a very similar vibe, I can't understand people that sees Jinx as an adult for years suddenly being introduced to Jinx 2.0 and all of a sudden "that's child behavior"
Even Get Jinxed, one of Riot's best works has tons of sexual undertones for the character, and nobody cared then, as they don't care now because everyone knows Jinx is an Adult, as is Briar

I understand your opinion and point you have made, however I disagree.
From my point of view this character has too many design flaws. Its lore is not just boring, but copied from other existing characters as with the previous champion (Naafiri = bootleg Xolaani).
In Briar's case, its failed Black Rose experiment number 4, that only ridicules lore of LB. On design point, it is just "vampire loli" with "manic pixie dream girl" character (read Noxian Jinx).
They tried to make it interesting by making Briar a homunculi, but there is no justification for making stupid hornybait with design of its clothes, legs and acursed exposed and highlighted feet.
The only bit I force with headcanon to be at least unique is that Briar was created as a weapon with no intend of having a character or identity,
hence my headcanon for Briar: agendered it/its.
Besides that, we have another ex-con champion next to Sylas. But one of them at least expanded the lore in positive way and was a complex character.
Gameplaywise I think there was a missunderstanding. That kit screams for me: Tank! - CC, being able to stick to the carry till it dies, yet they are discouraging that logical move by giving it %hp cost of skills and ad scaling for extra ar&mr.

I think she was inspired a lot by the crimson court in darkest dungeon. Seeing her passive is named the same as the disease you will eventually get from the place.
To anyone who doesn't know, the crimson court in darkest dungeon is filled with barons, lords and ladies but as a sort of mosquito human/monster look. The disease your characters will contract, the crimson curse, makes them increasingly hungry for blood. Over time it gets worse until they start to waste away unless you give them a vial of blood to drink so the curse subsides for awhile. Also her restraints look a lot like the iron crown that darkest dungeon is known for.
When she was created, she was designed as an adult, thus the quirky silly side of her becuase she was probably isolated for so long it wasnt able to keep up her with actual age. Overall an amazing champion.

I think she would classify as a homunculus (like FMA Brotherhood) so her aging and mental maturity are kinda skewered but in my opinion her design is still good for Riot's standard of female design; also am I the only one who feels like Riot is incapable to make a design whit any kind of dirt or grime on them, I mean Warwick lives in the sewers, shows and Brair literally came out of prison, Elko Jinx and Zery live in Zaun, Jinx and Ziggy's have shit blow up in there face every other hour, etc. and yet non of them have a significant speck of dirt on them

So about the lore, there's a discord screenshot from Riot Lexical going around where she says NO, Briar is not getting a color story and that Riot is looking into other ways of telling a champions lore that have a wider reach and more storytelling methods than color stories, which there are SO MANY little pros and cons and underlying reasons to this new approach that I don't have the time or energy to ramble about but long story short, the lore is a complicated issue for Riot right now and I'm really hoping they make an official statement on it soon or people are going to be VERY mad
ykw, im gonna say it, i really like here visual design, in its entirity. the whole fleshiness and roundedness of her proportions and her unnaturally smooth, glossy skin, really sells her as this synthetic compound molded into human form, its super uncanny and super cool. now, could these all just be excuses to make a thick vampire girl? of course, and knowing Riot August, they probably are, bot god damn it its cool and i want people to see it for that.

Personally, I feel like thw thighs are only weird if you're paying attention to that stuff, ...says a lot about where some of y'all's heads at... But I like her whole entire thing going on, she actually became aware of her abilities and what she is, but instead of using that to take over, the usual route riot (or Noxian champions really...) Goes, she wants to see the world outside the cells and knows if she needs to, she can release the power. THAT'S GOOD STORY WRITING! and she's not locked into a "what next" scenario like gwen and akshit. And I believe the rose are watching her, to see what she does, they probably didn't know creatures like briar could become self aware, or even, seek out a different path in life instead of being blood-craving, killing machines and thus rather than lock her back up, they wanna see what she does. In other words, they'll be monitoring her from the distances and see how things pan out.
So basically, she's just a problem for terminally online people

Hot Take: Riot could have very easily justified designing her as a character with larger legs if they said she was always designed with the pillary in mind. That way, we could assume Briar naturally used her legs far more than her arms for basically everything, since her arms always restrained. We already see her do all kinds of stuff with her legs like jumping jacks, kicking and more, just cuz they are the one part of her body not restrained by anything. And since she spends at least half of most games only attacking with her legs, its understandable from a gameplay perspective to make her body-shape more leg focused.
The "wanting to shape her like a blood drop" is one of the worst attempts at justification I've seen in awhile. It looks stupid as hell and just makes the devs and artists look kinda sus. And if you ask me, its all just an excuse to make another decently attractive character, and not hiding it well. I don't think she really looks all that "thicc" or young personally, but i dont blame others for thinking otherwise, and Riot seems to be trying really hard to find a middle-ground just to appease August while not getting the same fucked up response they got for Zoe. (A response they could have avoided if they didn't just go "Zoe is an ancient being". The 10000 year old loli excuse that creeps will gladly take up.)
I think it's interesting that because I didn't have ANY pre-notions that it was potentially going to be a loli, when I first saw her, I did not think she looked like a child at all. Young adult or teen, sure, absolutely (and yes I realize that a teen can be/is considered a child too) but none of her proportions make me think she's a child. So I'm wondering if that expectation skewed people's view of her design. Necrit has also pointed out that she is technically an adult. But even he, in his initial video about Briar, was very convinced that she was a child when her splash art came out.

I wanna see interactions with Darius. With his most recent comic it feels like some doubt was put in him, so him seeing a child struggle with her humanity (or do better than him with it) despite being made to be a weapon would be pretty cool.

I get that you need to rant about some things, but the way design works at such a high degree as riot does, the blood droplet bag is really the type of work they will incorporate. Her clothes help to tell this. They needed her shape to make the clothes a droplet shape.

She looks to be late teens/early twenties. The designer also stated she's early 20s. She just has a naïve personality. That body is NOT a body of a child, even in her splash art. Man, I find people are HORRIBLE at accurately guessing age off of physical proportions, in fiction and in real life, especially cuz a lot of the "it looks like a child to me" arguments would include many adult people, women in particular, and I've seen similar things happen, where women with smaller breasts especially, but really any smaller features, are deemed "childlike" simply based off of said proportions, and then, especially over the internet, a bunch of ppl get their panties in a twist in a pedo debate, over an adult woman who was just trying to be an adult woman. So my take is, "Are they legally an adult? Are they mentally an adult? If the answer to both questions is yes, have whatever physical preferences you want." Especially cuz pedos are attracted to innocent and childlike behavior as much as they are attracted to the physical characteristics, so if you like petite adult people, you're fine, if you like CHILDREN, there's the problem.

I agree her splash art definitely looks younger than it has to be, especially because the eyes are way bigger than they actually are, but her proportions don't imply child at all.
August is not on record saying that he wanted a "vampire loli", he never said the word "loli" when describing the cute vampire he wanted to create.

I've never despised leakers as much as I do now. This could have been one of the best champion reveals on par with Jhin and Lewis the Gator, but twitter just had to fuck it up (also sorry for forgetting smite on the second game)
