she does sound amazing here. And I think this is because she's singing in a key that doesn't strain her voice too much. I thought the contrast between Cheryl singing the low notes and Gary singing the high notes was beautiful
Sometimes the combination of two things you like doesn't work no matter what people say, like if you say I like bacon and I like ice-cream so I'll like bacon and ice-cream, doesn't always work.
But here it does, i love Cheryl Cole and i love Snow Patrol and the combination of the two, well, together they're just sensational. :)

this video proves that cheryl can sing, she has real melody and tone in her voice here.
the reason people say she cant sing is that she does songs that are too high key for her voice and it doesnt sound as good. this key is perfect for her.

I remember watching this on the night and was quite shocked. I had read all of the usual editorial stuff about her not being able to sing and was really impressed by the way she sang this. I wasn't really a fan before but I am now since this performance. Good luck with your future career Cheryl, I am sure it will last for years to come.
I love Cheryl and am glad she is starting to sing live as it puts paid to the haters. Yet, Martha's voice is higher so it suits the song better.
