The rounded shape on the palm side is for those people that like to wrap their finger around the front of the reel, to make it more comfortable. I remember seeing this when they announced the Gen 5 Asymmetrical body and thought it was a pretty nice thought. I have a bunch of the Gen 4 revos that are still working great, so I won't need to upgrade or replace for a while. Still love to see the generational changes they are making.
This is my favorite reel I’ve ever used personally and I’ve used Shimano Daiwa and Lews. Abu knocked the new Revo casting and spinning generations out of the park
I got both stx (6:7.1) and rocket 5, have them since june or july. As im in Europe i use stx on my light setup for pike, constantly throwing baits from 3/4 up to 2 oz. So far 0 issues, im impressed with this reel.

they have come a long ways, but I like them all. This is the best generation ever as they seem to keep getting better.

it's a solid reel! Really like this newest generation.
I have the rocket and sx and both are great
Can't go wrong with any Abu Garcia Reel!!
Yep they make solid gear
Just found you, got to say I’m digging it I will be looking for your next video!! Keep up the great work!!
Awesome! Thank you! Appreciate it.
No magnets in the brakes lol. Cmon guys, the dial is to adjust how much contact the pads have with the ring on the inside of the side plate. 🤷🏻♂️
They build nice stuff!!
Agreed. Solid stuff.
Thanks.
You're welcome
How does it compare to the kastking? I have the cheap centron kastking and looking to upgrade.
Never used any KastKing stuff.
i just got that reel , can you show how to use the dial on centrifugal brake ?
Have you ever use it in saltwater?
I haven't but I'm sure it would be fine if you clean it after every trip
