I've been using an abu revo toro nacl as my swimbait reel for years and absolutely love it. Pull it completely apart twice a year to degrease and put fresh lube and replace the roller once a year. Just recently got a lews super duty 300 ,having owned a few lews reels over the years I had high hours for this and I'm not disappointed at all. Only time ( and muskies) will tell but I'm so far very in love with this reel. It's a pleasure to cast and I find myself making more casts even on slow days just because it feels so good to throw. 🤣I have both spooled up with 80lb power pro v2 super slic and both cast comparably, but both also have the same magnetic/centrifugal/spool tension knob cast control setup.
@@goodmanfishing I have one it's a solid reel and really surprised me. Piscifun actually makes some great budget reels. Alloy m and the alijoz are definitely two of my fav budget reels 100$ or less.
I think the Alijos is better than any of the reels listed. I have a Shimano Tranx 300 and I use the Alijos more than my Tranx. It’s a phenomenal reel at any price point
Excellent job on this you know what you are talking about. What is your opinion on putting 2 bearings on the ends of the worm gear? Any noticeable difference
I have the lews and the Shimano they are close. The lews holds its own against Shimano. I also have the Daiwa tatula (T wing) and it is better than both of them hands down. I was also a lifelong Shimano guy. I'm not anymore. lol just saying
@@goodmanfishing Great to hear, thank you very much for the response! I just picked up both the Shimano Curado 300 K and Lew's Superduty 300, I will be returning one. As a Shimano guy it makes the decision tough!
@goodmanfishing hi there i love that video its really helpfull, im thinking about buying revo beast x and i have a question. Do you think that reel will be able to hold in lures that are up to 150grams?? Or should i invest in something bigger?? Thanks
Which is your preferred reel, and why? 👍
You can keep the reels, I take the car behind ! 😄
Cool video 👍! Thanks !!!

sounds like a solid setup!
In that same price range, you should check out the daiwa Lexa 300 that thing is smooth as butter it’s light, and it will cast far.
With shimanos quality I don't sweat bushings in place of bearings. Lighter and more reliable in the salt in many ways.
Fair point!
Nice break down very detailed a lot of time 👏 😊
Thank you!
Piscifun Alijos and the Lew’s Superduty 300
Swimbait reels you can't forget the budget piscifun alijoz 300. Imo a great bang for the buck
I've not tried one but have heard good things 👍

Can you do a comparison with the new Diawa tatula 300 with the t wing
I'll see if I can get my hands on one to try out 👍
Great video, very helpful! I have been debating these choices for weeks. Now that you've had more time with the Lew's, how do you feel about it?
Still a great reel for me!

I would say that's pushing the limits of the reel. It will do it, but I believe long term durability would be a challenge.
Excelent video. Extremely professional.
Thank you!
Really ‘preciate this breakdown
Very good video!
Thanks! 🤙
no, abu has 2 brake tex washer, remove couple of magnets flies better
