I love these cars and definitely am still interested in it. You made the right decision. So happy to see you get this one...now I can live vicariously through you for the moment! The Q50 itself is a great car that is very well developed, also, very good looking still...the R&D is phenomenal and the V6 twin turbo a work of art. With the red sport it is just so much fun and you wont be lacking for power...a baby GTR, if you will with the AWD! That black Opal is one of the best looking paint jobs on any car. Hints of green, wine, and gold flakes, depending on the lighting...amazing! Also, Infiniti dealers take great care of their customers and clients. You are spot on VIP treatment! I have had a great experience with my 2017 QX50 purchased in Glendale, Ca. Now I am in New York State again and it is still running awesome. The warranties are great and the atmosphere is very nice, which is what pulled me in their direction along with their well developed cars. Just take good care of it and it will last a long time! I look forward to more videos about your car and how it is treating you. Hope to see you do a review of the big brother GTR also! As far as the exhaust, I did get a custom built exhaust and it is really nice, more sound, a bit more power...and it is a very nice sound btw! You don't need to go full exhaust because that would be a bit too loud. I think it is a cat delete with 2 resonators and 2 mufflers at the back. Another simple mod is getting the freer flowing reusable K&N replacement filters. Definitely more intake sound and more power. And you just clean them every so often and reuse.
Ok so my wife has the Q50 and I have a Q60. Both awesome cars. My Q60 is heavily modified. Stupid loud stupid fast. But my wife wanted a little bit more sound and a touch more power. So for her Q50 we went with a AMS(used by Infiniti) Red Alpha intake and a axle back system. Basically intake and muffler delete. Super easy to do. Nice sound maybe a bit more power. Congratulations by the way. Cheers!
No problem. Now if you want to….go back to your Infiniti dealer and order(and have them install) the Infiniti(AMS) intake and the Infiniti branded performance exhaust. That way it’s all under warranty.
I love my red sport. I did all my research and compared to all the German and other Japanese cars of the same class. But ultimately, the timeless design of this car with the power and comfort as well as the Japanese reliability was the primary factor. Although I love the Acura TLX and the Lexus IS series, I like the overall package of the q50 more. As for the German cars, I've owned several and I've never had a good experience from a reliability perspective. This car is underrated because Infiniti is not popular these days but I'm not buying a car to be cool
Exactly right! A "Gentleman's Sport Sedan" and a "Stealth Mobile". Chabby, you made a great decision for all the right reasons. I just leased my third Q50. It happens to be the exact same Q50 RS Opal Edition with a 2024 VIN. The car is everything you described. Folks, this is an HONEST review of the Q50RS without the regurgitated nonsense you hear on other "review" channels. It is the best value by far compared to its European and Japanese competitors. Nice video and congrats on your new car! I have a RWD 2016 Red Sport 400 (which was the first year for the twin turbo) and I love it! Definitely a sleeper. Zero to 60 in 4.5 seconds in this big body is impressive and mine being RWD, feels.... old school! For better handling and a smoother ride - consider upgrading your tires to Michelin Pilot Sport AS4s.
Beautiful vehicle. Nitrogen filled tires. Do you notice any difference between air and nitrogen filled tires. Beautiful interior. Like the overall layout of screens, gauges, etc. The red stitching and diamond pattern on the seats gives the interior a very classy look. With almost no steering wheel input by you, the car seems to drive on rails. I hope the Q50 Red Sport 400 puts a big smile on your face for as long as you owned the vehicle. Sounds like the dealer you bought the car from is very customer oriented, which is a huge plus for me also. Your car sounds fine. I don't like loud exhaust noise in a classy vehicle. The Infiniti dealership recommended Cilajet for my 2023 black opal red sport 400. It offers superior paint protection using the strongest material on earth - graphene. Cilajet was originally developed for the aerospace industry to be used on commercial aircraft. The dealership used a different form of Cilajet on my leather seats and carpet. You’re correct about people not knowing a thing about the red sport 400. Until you take off like a rocket and leave them far, far behind. My input? Keep your rare beauty without doing any mods. You said you wouldn’t mind input from a woman, so here it is. 😉
@chabbysrides ok so listen all you need is a muffler don't bother with a full exhaust or we. It's literally 250 bucks and it's 2 bolts on each muffler look in my shorts I uploaded mine. Also I'm in ny nj area I can help you install it's very simple and let you k ow which one to get

It's RWD by default and AWD kicks in when slippage is detected. Not full time AWD. Perfect setup
