For me, Gaz is the "old soul" of carp fishing, I like to watch his videos. Most of today's carp fishing is overloaded with technology, for God's sake they started using drones to find carp, in a little while the drone will carry their bait to a gps specific location. I live in Croatia where there are a couple of locations with very large carp, but those fish are used to the sound of the spomb that brings food, where there is a passion for fishing, throw enough food and be sure that a capital carp will come. Fortunately, there are still places where you have to invest a lot of effort and cunning to catch nice fish. I used to really respect mr. Danny Faibrass, because he was really a pioneer in some areas of carp fishing, today it's money, money, money... Maybe I'm wrong, but somehow the combination of man and nature that was the basis of carp fishing, an escape from civilization into nature, it is slowly becoming "technological progress" in trying to catch as many fish as possible... I hope I'm wrong but...
Let's be fare, most carp anglers can just about afford one week in France. Considering getting time off work and fitting the family in. Gaz is is a lucky man.
These celebrity carp anglers are the reason everywhere seems to be busy and the reason there's so much snobbery involved in carp fishing! Im so happy that they can afford to pisss off abroad and fish!
Misty dawn start on my local lake in france, where i live,. Tucked away nice and quiet, bit of bubbling down the margins, perfect. Flick em in. Hold up, 2 vw vans turn up, 4 blokes hello mate, carp circle trip ,up goes the drone, going back n forth all morning, half the lake marked out with h block markers. Out comes the drone again.. just making a quick film for youtube Fair play, find your lake and fish, but dont sell out and put it on youtube and show everyone where it is. just a complete lack of respect towards the local anglers and the lake. You have to admit that somewhere along the line you were responsable for ruining that lake you found.
Gaz - im just not sure what benefit all this continued pot banging has for YOU. Think long, deep and hard about short term (money?) vs long term happiness/enjoyment

Gaz is just pure class 👌🏼
Great view of the real carp angling, just been free and find your wild carp... Just a different feeling
Sorry guys, but if you KNOW you are going to hurt some people/places with the filming, stop filming.
