Something he should have mentioned: The one he plays live and in the studio is the exact same one you can buy at the store. He doesn't have a fancy US made version while selling you cheap imports, it's the exact same guitar. That's a big deal in terms of signature guitars.
That means he’s literally the only signature artist that stands behind the import signature models he has. Soooooooo much respect for Matt. Even more respect to him because he said he doesn’t have any signature models in his house/home studio because he’s waiting on the fans to get theirs before he gets his.

props to this dude for rocking what he loves. not many (if any) "artists" would be caught dead with an epiphone in their hands. i don't own one of these but i got my hands on one at a local shop and it was a blast to play.
So kind of a weird story. But I started playing acoustic guitar a little over year ago. Around this past Christmas, I was really getting the bug to start playing electric. For whatever reason, I've always been drawn to the Les Paul, specifically the black ones. By some miracle I found one on Facebook Marketplace pretty close by (I'm a lefty, so it was definitely a miracle). This thing was pretty beat, but it was exactly what I wanted. I got curious a few weeks after picking it up, and started looking around to see what mods other people did to their Les Pauls. In doing so I stumbled across Matt's signature Epiphones and fast forward a few months and I've started listening to Trivium and have become a big fan of their music. I can confidently say when I'm ready for an upgrade, I'll most likely be picking up one of these bad Larry's. Matt seems like a good dude and he's helped make what seem like some rad instruments. Much love from this beginner.

I think Gibson in general is really turning around.
