Both Bougainvilleans and PNG lost everything in the crisis. The winner of this conflict was BCL, the operator of the Panguna Mine. BCL will do anything to thwart the delicate self-determination process. I hope Mr.Taorama will be vigilant about his handling of the mine wealth and foreign investors and not give in easily through shady deals. Independence is a paper process. The real war is the war of wealth extraction from panguna mine.
