Very informative, appreciated you taking time to explain everything &pop up windows with burrs being used, the reference skull pic, etc. Great carving & editing
Howdy Mr. Matt... Very cool video. 😎 Very informative with all the snap shots of the different bits as you're using them. Excellent Job Sir. I am definitely gonna have to give this a try. You say this is called "Relief" carving? I just finished up a "Relief" carving of a heart for the wife using Jordy Johnsons "Valentines Heart" he did about a year ago for inspiration. I am currently doing another "Relief" carving for a customer (co-worker) of a fairy mushroom house with 2 fairies 🧚♀️ in love. Extremely highly detailed. I'm using micro bits at the moment for outlines of the fairies. Have you/do you use micro bits? They are like Itty bitty teenie weenie drill bits about the thickness of a sewing needle. Do you have an email or something for people to send you pics of what they've carved after watching you? Glad you took my advice with the longer video with instructions. It sure is gonna help me ALOT. So, I'm sure it's gonna help others too. Great Job Sir!!!
Thank you very much! This is great! This is a wonderful, detailed, educational video! You can see the whole process, all stages, and tools! The work itself turned out great!👋
Hi Matt, you made a complete tutorial and explained in great detail!💀🙂 Those who are starting with power carving will surely appreciate this video, I myself recommend your videos to those who ask me about power carving 🍻
Dude are awesome!!! You hit on every problem I was having on relief carvings. I see how you did it and think, why I didn't think of that? Duh!!! Blonde moment! Lol Great instructional video. Thank you and keep up the great work. 👍 ✌️♥️😀
Not eucalyptus. Hesperocyparis macrocarpa also known as Cupressus macrocarpa,] or the Monterey cypress is a coniferous tree, and is one of several species of cypress trees endemic to California.

Probably should have the skull and cross ☠️ for the toilet door.
Thanks Matt. When you say macrocarpa is that the species of eucalyptus or a separate genus.?
Not eucalyptus. Hesperocyparis macrocarpa also known as Cupressus macrocarpa,] or the Monterey cypress is a coniferous tree, and is one of several species of cypress trees endemic to California.
What wood was used for this carving
It's called Macrocarpa. It's grown a lot in New Zealand.
So mad, my carving looked great then I got to the teeth and ruined the entire piece!
That's tough, hard when it's at the end of the carving.
