I saw a clip the other day from an editor that summed up my feelings about a lot of creators over the last few years. We were drawn to them because they had a compelling story/they were able to tell a good story, but then they almost all veer off from that and get caught up in the cinematography side of things to show how good they are at cinematography. Then they forget to tell a good story. I've switched off from many creators who did this, especially the old channel, there were too many 'edits' and next to no story so those 'edits' were just fluff that I would fast forward through.
These new videos getting back to having substance are a nice touch

I want to visit your gym someday soon. Appreciate your content and the wisdom you dispensed in this video about your journey so far. I struggle with overthinking, analysis paralysis and seeking perfection that sabotaged me from starting or deciding where to start. I see others that just engage and struggle through and now I am working on getting better at decisiveness.
I love and hate structure. It follows the production of content that is polished and professional and slick versus the raw personal unedited product that resonates as flaws, imperfections create credibility by relating to them.
Both have value and engagement.

I started watching CG as a woman, he may have something I can learn from or feature a female I may want to follow. I LOVE this new YT version of CG. He seems WAY more relaxed and relatable. He seems more calm and FUN! Heidi and Christian are a fun couple. This new channel is more entertaining. And I will be honest I don't even work out. BUT when I did/do I am still more informed. I watch YT while trimming weed for my clients. Business is Business .Hustle and have fun. I like Mr. Juan too. The fact that CG cusses is awesome and realness to him!

I feel like in addition to providing "Value", you need to be yourself. I personally would not watch someone that seems fake, or is not being themselves. What was so attractive to your UA-cam was how real you are, how much I could know you the content creator. I click on videos from your channel, because it is almost a friendship like relationship, catching up with Christian Guzman, how is he doing.

It’s different from Don’t Be Sour so you’re not occupying space in that lane. Could you address the fallout of you & shawley.. I know it’s very personal, you wouldn’t have to get into every single detail. But to go from childhood friends to foes.. I think it would be valuable to turn it into a lesson, so others can learn from possible mistakes or red flags. Thanks, Christian! I enjoyed this style of video as well!
The older your channel is the more UA-cam pushes it, the more support you get, the exposure UA-cam gives you...newer channels don't get much support, that's why you only have 60k even though your personally popular.

The whole explanation of making a new channel still makes zero sense to me. That part still wasn't even really explained. Lots of channels experienced a peak and then a drop. UA-cam got bigger, so it made you big. Then it got even bigger and made you smaller. People have more options, the market is flooded. How is making a new channel, same person, same name, same length of content, going to change and adapt to any of that? The pandemic was a big time for UA-cam growth, and that's when you were absent for long periods of time. That's why your channel tanked. Not to mention people got tired of the clickbait. (clickbait is ok, so long as it's not over the top) You're always gonna lose people. 10 years from now, you'll be in the same situation with this channel, and probably worse. If the idea is that a new channel will recapture your peak, I'd have to say that's a horrible gamble to make. Good chance is you never have that peak again, except with even worse results on a new channel. As you can see, only a fraction of your audience has even bothered to come over to this channel. That would be your more loyal followers. You've lost your casual followers which is what most people have. That's the majority of anyone's subs. The age of your channel did not ruin it. That's not how youtube works. Mr. Beast's channel is the same age as your old one. When you came back on the old channel, your subs started to shoot back up fast, you gained like 20k+ and hit 1m, then you quit for a long time again, then they went back down. I know this doesn't sound like much coming from a nobody that doesn't have your experience, but I don't think my observation are bad.
Loyal viewers >> Casual viewers
Using this channel to explore new formats and types of videos that would never have worked on old channel since viewers were primed for a specific type of video

im not even a fan or follower but i been lurkin around youtube watching fitness influencers since way back when greg plitt was around and when cg was in his dorm, i think this dude is genuine and regardless whatever he does he will always attract people.
