    I wish I saw this video before I went out yesterday. I'm new and I've only been checking wave height. The swell period was just 5 seconds and I was getting battered by nothing but choppy waves and foam. Also a strong sideways current taking me wayyy down shore from where I put in just a couple minutes.

      I’m glad you found it helpful! Swell period is always a good baseline to help predict the surf. Hopefully you’ve got some better waves since 🤘 yeww
