A. I might be the only one in the cabin and with my visual disabilities now, I might only have my iPhone and a tablet. But I want to make sure I have charging capabilities.
They're not always allowed on all ships. Cruise ferries often ban them because of issues with electrical wiring. (They also tend to have enough outlets that it doesn't matter.)
I would agree too but consider that this area is in an area prone to weather (cold) events that may make it harder to travel to the other airport. There is a motivation to take cruises from a seasonal standpoint anyway. In good weather, though I'd totally agree.
A-Multi Plug. If the direct flight is not beneficial for United, they should no longer offer the flight. As for the proposed fee of $200 city council woman should be ashamed, I live in Canada and the drive to a major airport is 2hrs away.
They are the goose that lays the golden egg , I finally get to the point of cruseing Everyone’s jumping on raising fees and charges , on hotels ships, planes yeah their making up for Covid times , come on a couple bucks sure but these raises are out of control
A. We both have cell phones that we use to check in with each, keep track of what is going on when/where, and check menus. They both need to be recharged nightly, which is when my wife is using her CPAP. I do not know about the newer ships but the older ships that we enjoy have one outlet above the sink and one outlet at the desk. With out an extension cord, which has multiple plug ins, my wife will have to move the bed over by the desk or sleep on the bathroom floor. I do love my magnetic hooks but I can always use Command Strip hooks.
The union demands are largely about container shipping and the possible automation of container ports. The work they do for passenger ships should not be affected. I believe that the passenger ship work is a whole other contract. Loading cruise ships and other passenger operations doesn't lend itself to the threat of automation eliminating jobs. And even if they did struck against the passenger lines, the effects would be small potatoes compared to shutting down container ports.
$200. PER PERSON! Just so they can have what THEY want? Ya. Don't think so. Time for politicians to realize we don't have endless amounts of money. Also, that extortion is wrong.
"A" because we have a lot of things that need to be charged so we use a multi USB tower and a multi-plug is required! "B" because since there is limited storage we use a lot of magnets to hold hats, backpacks (hang them from the ceiling with a magnet) and several other things. We use both and I'd say they are a must have!
I am confused about Lewiston and cruise fees. It is nowhere near a cruise port. Are they saying they want United to tack on a $200 charge for anyone flying Lewiston->Denver->Seatle.
@@howardosden3112 Hi Howard! Denver is third largest airport in the U.S. by volume (Atlanta is #1, Dallas is #2). Since Denver is a primary hub, a lot of Lewiston passengers flow through Denver; particularly if they are cruising from one of the east coast ports.
Hi Ed! The council member did not specify their plan of how the fee would be collected or who would collect it. I believe the proposed funding plan is doomed to fail.
United should step up immediately and pull out of Lewiston. If Lewiston gets away with this every other city with an airport from Springfield Mo. to Chicago and all others will do the same thing making the cost of going on a cruise prohibitive.
A. As someone that where’s cochlear processors, I need 2 plug ins for the batteries. Between my wife and I, we need a minimum of 7 plugs in order to charge necessary items.
A - I have scooter, phone, hearing aids, and other items, and my roommate does too! Without a multi-plug extension cord my cruising days are over - especially since I only cruise from New Orleans, and the ships are small, dated, and old-fashioned in supplying only ONE outlet per cabin!
Pro Tip. Portable battery banks with multiple USB ports on them are a great alternative to power strips. They do work to charge devices while plugged in charging themselves. :)
A. Multi-plug is more important as older cruise ships have very limited outlet but magnetic hooks can be quite handy in interior small cabin. Ignorant and dumb people to bomb threat a cruise and that's ridiculous to charge $200 fee to pass the buck to cruisers. Royal Caribbean should think better to push out these big ships so fast and on schedule and should have delayed like the Sun Princess if not fully ready with all these problems in less than a year.😀🤟👌
Informative video as always. Just some friendly feedback: the midshow check-in is a favourite segment of mine but the value goes way up if is it between more than two options unless it is a multishow battle.
B - we are on vacation so try to unplug and stay away from electronics as much as possible. Hooks are great for organization and utilizing the space. Much better.
A. Most people use their phones to take pictures. And since there isn't a lot of places to charge your phone, the multi-plug port does a lot of functionality.
Ok!! When I hear your music I hear, "He's fast! Yes he's fast!" 😂😢 This is why we love your channel. You give the news and no extra craziness! Thank you!! ❤😂
Thanks for your video. I was great as always straight into the point. I love it magnetic hooks. B! Ever since I learned about bringing them it helped out a lot. I mean a lot hang everything up almost everything keeps everything in order. Thank you.❤❤
A- husband uses CPap. We both have electronics, including my toothbrush, that need a plug. I've only recently started taking magnets. they're handy, but the plug is essential.
A we all have devices to plug in and not enough outlets. I can understand no extension cords, unless needed for medical purposes. But an outlet adapter seems necessary.
My last cruise is the first time I have used hooks…so convenient! Multi-plug is hard not to have especially on some of the older ships with few outlets. If I had to choose one to have it would probably be the power cube.
It depends on the ship. All the Virgin Voyages ships have plenty of US and UBS outlets. On the other hand, multi plug outlets are essential on the Disney Magic.
A - multi-plug strip. We have been cruising since 1996 and have never taken magnetic hooks. We are trying them for the first time on our upcoming NCL Cruise on Oct 8.
Tough question…🧐 We always bring both. We could do without the power strip, IF we knew there would be adequate and operable wall pugs in our cabin…magnetic hooks free up space in the cabin, so those are essential to us.
Definitely the multi plug/power strip. I hate to many items that require charging. Not just my phone but my fan and flat iron. I can do without the magnets
A older ships have limited outlets. We have to remember to charge our phones during the day, so we have the phones by our bed- for time and emergency calls from family.
Wow!!! That’s a difficult question since both of these items are VERY important when I’m on a cruise. I’m going to go with B. Magnet hooks. All of the ships I’ve been on have at least 2 plugs for phone charges which would be a little inconvenient but doable.

B hooks
A. Multi-power plug
A!
A. I might be the only one in the cabin and with my visual disabilities now, I might only have my iPhone and a tablet. But I want to make sure I have charging capabilities.
Prayers for safety and a sense of calm to everybody involved in the path of the hurricanes
Thank you, looks like we are going to get a major storm surge in St Petersburg.....ughhhh
Thank you. We are in Tally.
Absolutely. Praying for sure. Thank you my Friend!
A. Multi plug/power strip is a must have especially on older ships. Newer ships have extra places to plug in electronics.
They're not always allowed on all ships. Cruise ferries often ban them because of issues with electrical wiring. (They also tend to have enough outlets that it doesn't matter.)
Hi Mira! Yeah, there can often be very few outlets on the older ships. Thanks for sharing your input! Have a great day!
$200 pp? That’s insane!
I’d just drive the 2 hrs to next airport.
I agree
I would agree too but consider that this area is in an area prone to weather (cold) events that may make it harder to travel to the other airport. There is a motivation to take cruises from a seasonal standpoint anyway. In good weather, though I'd totally agree.

I’d drive the 2 hrs before given $200 to a multimillion dollar corporation and an idiot politician.
@@matthewthurlow1204 I'm with you, I'd rather drive than pay the $200 additional.
They are the goose that lays the golden egg , I finally get to the point of cruseing
Everyone’s jumping on raising fees and charges , on hotels ships, planes yeah their making up for Covid times , come on a couple bucks sure but these raises are out of control
A - on the older ships a power strip is a necessity.
A! Hooks are great but power is critical.
A. We are always needing extra plugs for our devices.
A - coming from the UK, most ships have US power outlets, so adaptors are absolutely necessary for charging USB items etc.
A. It’s nice to have a couple extra plugs + USB ports
A. We both have cell phones that we use to check in with each, keep track of what is going on when/where, and check menus. Any update news on the Longshoremen strike effecting cruises on the US east coast?
The union demands are largely about container shipping and the possible automation of container ports. The work they do for passenger ships should not be affected. A for sure. My husband uses a C-pap and we often need a power strip/extension to get power to the bedside.
A multi-plug power strip without a surge protector
Definitely A! Cruising on an older ship in November. Cabin has only one outlet
I’m scheduled on MSC Seashore Sunday, driving down from Missouri. It’s going to be a rough drive.
Leave early if you can
Excellent news today. Thank you
Thanks Cheryl!
A all day! Cabins don't have enough outlets or USB ports
Very much agree. Why (in this electronic age) do Cruise ships have so few outlets and USB ports?
I have to have the multi plug. The magnetic hooks just make life a little easier and the cabin more organized.
The Hurricane is coming right over us in Valdosta, GA
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 we don’t loose any lives this go around. Valdosta,Ga here also.
We bring both. There are never enough outlets to charge our phones, watches and other electronic equipment. The magnets are essential
so the plan is to extort fees from cruisers. thumbs down on that idea
$200. PER PERSON! Just so they can have what THEY want? Ya. Don't think so. Time for politicians to realize we don't have endless amounts of money. Also, that extortion is wrong.
Multi-plug essential on older cruise ships. So A is my vote. But of course I always take those magnets as well!
Flying out of Lewiston and being assessed a $200 surcharge? How asinine?
"A" because we have a lot of things that need to be charged so we use a multi USB tower and a multi-plug is required! "B" because since there is limited storage we use a lot of magnets to hold hats, backpacks (hang them from the ceiling with a magnet) and several other things. A - Multi power plugs
Short, to the point, always upbeat AND keep on praying!❤❤❤
I am confused about Lewiston and cruise fees. It is nowhere near a cruise port. Are they saying they want United to tack on a $200 charge for anyone flying Lewiston->Denver->Seatle.
My thoughts exactly why is a cruise passenger flying from Lewiston to Denver? That makes no sense at all.

Hi Julia! Thank you so much!!
Now they are saying the hurricane will be a Cat4 - YIKES!
Jason. thanks you for the update 🇯🇲
Hi Sylvester! Thank you so much!
Power Strip
A - I have scooter, phone, hearing aids, and other items, and my roommate does too! Without a multi-plug extension cord my cruising days are over - especially since I only cruise from New Orleans, and the ships are small, dated, and old-fashioned in supplying only ONE outlet per cabin!
A - multi plug

A. Not even close.
B..definitely. There are so many different uses for magnetic hooks!!!
I dont buy internet and only have 1phone. I cruise tech free ...so B
Hope you never need a CPAP or any other type of medical device that needs to be plugged in.
A. Always need one . Cabin does not have enough
Power strip
I watch your video every morning to get my fix. Thanks for everything, we are cruisaholics

The power strip is a Must for us, but we also use the magnet hooks every time.
We love our magnetic hooks! Thanks for your prayers for those affected by Helene!
Hi Doodie! For sure. Appreciate you all!!
A
I take both, but the power strip is a must, so definitely A
A-Multi-plug/power strip for sure. Although I do enjoy using the hooks too
a

“No one’s Life, Liberty or Property are safe as long as the legislature is in session.”

Hi Myra! I love that! Thank you so much! I appreciate you!
Good Question, I like both, but A - power strip just inches out to Magnetic hooks.
B- I didn’t even use my multi plug last time I took it. My cabin had enough plugs and usb ports just for me
Thanks for your video. I was great as always straight into the point. I love it magnetic hooks. B! Ever since I learned about bringing them it helped out a lot. I mean a lot hang everything up almost everything keeps everything in order. Thank you.❤❤
Definately B Magnetic Hooks - The Ship supplies the other if needed
A- husband uses CPap. We both have electronics, including my toothbrush, that need a plug. I've only recently started taking magnets. they're handy, but the plug is essential.

A - I like the smaller ships which are often old and have inadequate plugs. Also take magnetic hooks but if I had to choose 1 the answer is obvious.
A and B I need both!
A - multi-plug strip. We have been cruising since 1996 and have never taken magnetic hooks. We are trying them for the first time on our upcoming NCL Cruise on Oct 8.

B. Magnetic hooks have so many uses. I can rotate my chargers.
Multiple outlet device. I have several devices that need to be powered. Not consume significant power, but they all need some power.
Definitely the multi plug/power strip. I hate to many items that require charging. Not just my phone but my fan and flat iron. I can do without the magnets
A - we bring both but if we had to make a choice, we would bring multi-plug adapters.
A older ships have limited outlets. We have to remember to charge our phones during the day, so we have the phones by our bed- for time and emergency calls from family.
A - especially in older cabins with insufficient power outlet. Love your vlogs!
Hi Vanessa! Thank you so much!!
A by far more important
My wife and I both use CPAP. We are dead in the water if we don't have socket extenders without surge protection as required.
A multi plug. we usually go on the older ships.magnetic hooks we arew trying them next cruise
I have had the need for either of them!
We take both, but A is most important to us.
Hi Catherine! Thanks for commenting!
"B" the magnetic hooks since my wife LOVES to decorate!!!
A. My husband has a C Pap and sometimes outlets are not close enough to plug it in.
A but b is also handy
B magnetic hooks but I do not necessarily use them when I go.
B,of course. I totally unplug on a cruise. 😊
A!! We have many things to plug in. Instead of magnets, use tape.
I rather have both, but A, Multi plug, we sail RCL older ships but have to support two cell phones and CPAP. Loyal to Royal.
B those have been a godsend on the cruises I’ve been on
Actually I really like and use both If I had to pick one go with A
Wow!!! That’s a difficult question since both of these items are VERY important when I’m on a cruise. I’m going to go with B. Magnet hooks. All of the ships I’ve been on have at least 2 plugs for phone charges which would be a little inconvenient but doable.
Both are a must have.
A plug. The magnetic hooks are great but the plug is essential
A, definitely a must-have
Take both …multi plugs/power strips and magnetic Hooks!
A, although I will be taking both on my next cruise.
A, there are more places to plug in, but not always the right size. I also have one for both European and US plugs.
A if I had to pick, but I always pack both
Where would you put magnetic hooks and for what ???
A. Multi plug. Can go by without the hooks but not without enough outlets for cell phones, tablets, or laptops..
Answer A as quite a few older ships do not have enough outlets for all electronics we all now carry
