The 100 Oldest YouTube Videos That Are Publicly Available

As a website, UA-cam launched in February 2005. The first upload, Jawed Karim’s “Me at the Zoo” was published on April 23rd, 2005.
From there, people would create accounts, and upload videos for the world wide web to see.
According to the blogger Nandroid, by June 16th, 2005 there were at least 169 UA-cam uploads on the site. Several have been lost to history over time, but others have been preserved for posterity. This compilation is an attempt to string together the 100 oldest UA-cam videos that can be watched today (whether through the initial page or reuploads).
As with every website that ended up growing and thriving, somebody had to experiment with the site in its absolute infancy to demonstrate what could be done on it.
Being a user generated video platform, nobody really would have known what could and couldn’t get consistent views on UA-cam like nowadays.
UA-cam was a new paradigm of entertainment in 2005 when it launched, and as such, the people who uploaded in those first few months are the pioneers of that paradigm.
Before FRED, Smosh, or even Hak5, there were the people who uploaded everything you see here.

Not bad, though mercado del Albert kuyp and Pandas at the San Diego Zoo have been found full length with no mirrored reuploads from the 20 oldest videos on UA-cam.

I didn’t realize there was more to those two than what I saw.
Either way, thank you for checking out the upload of the videos.
It would be cool if Dr J. Reincarnated by kaizenamazen, or more uploads from the initial founders Chad Hurley, Steve Chen, and Jawed Karim could be found someday.
But for now what you see here might be the oldest 100 UA-cam videos that can be watched.
