I'll probably compromise and get one ultra wide curved screen with two vertically aligned monitors on either side. I could just use the main curved monitor for gaming and the other two screens for whatever. Not sure yet though, advice welcome. Keep in mind this is my first PC build.
I can say that I had a triple screen setup, then I exchanged the three screens for a huge screen. I missed having three programs open at the same time, the super wide wallpapers, and at the end of the day, I had to move the huge screen apart from me to see everything, from the distance from my eyes to the screen it look the same size as a normal screen, I am currently selling the big screen and going back to the triple screen. one inconvenience of the triple screen is the lines between each screen, if the screens have a thick edge you may see those bars in your overall image, I recommend that you buy screens with very thin edge, if possible of the same brand and type, because different brands may have a different way to show colors, different brightness, different ways to show color temperature, if the three screens are as identical as possible you will not have a problem with that.

But when I play games I use only my main screen for games but I put discord and spotify to my screen 2 and 3. :D
I don't think any of the downsides you mentioned for gaming are downsides. My first thought with 3 screens isn't "Wow playing my games on 3 screens with be great" my thought is its gonna be nice to have other things visible while I'm gaming on the middle moniter. If you enjoy gaming on multiple monitors great but you don't have to just because you have them.
Another fun thing about playing on 3 monitors is the advantage in fov you get. For example in minecraft on maxed fov and speed 2 potion you get a over 180 degree feld of view
What have you done with your cables? Have you run them into the wall? Also, what mount are you using for the triple? Cause it looks to be wall mounted but I can't find a decent one online. Thanks for the video, was helpful.
ive been running (4x) 24" sceptre monitors since 2008? man its been a long time, and believe it or not as a full time programmer for the manufacturing industry i use ALL of them, yes all! there are times i use only 3 but i never much use less than 3. for gaming i use just 1 but everything else is 3 to 4. it is absolutly essential to have this many moniitors with the multiple softwares i have to run simeltaneously. and believe it or not i am just now looking to purchase a tripple, yes tripple monitor setup but this time all in 55" monitors. the only reason i did not go with 4 is because its not needed as the size of the 3x 55" monitors is so extreme and takes up so much space compared to my current 4x 24" monitors is that i just dont have the room for a 4th lol. a multi monitor setup is extremly beneficial. in both time and ease of use. the cost for the multiple monitors is definetly worth it for me but im a rara kinda critter as well, not many people are doing what im doing but for me, they are great, and i wouldent have it any other way :)
Nice video. I've been debating this ever since I got my RTX 3080 as I have the power to run 3. The thing is my main monitor is a 27" 1440P 144hz which isn't the cheapest so to get 2 more of the same ones will run a pretty penny. I also have a 55" desk and not 100% sure all 3 would fit. I currently use my old 15" laptop via the Windows wireless display feature as a second monitor which definitely increases productivity so I couldn't imagine 3 full 27" monitors from a productivity standpoint. Gaming, I love racing games like Forza so it'll be nice for those too.
I use my drawing tablet as a second monitor, and i plan on making a setup to upgrade from my laptop. If i did 2 monitors i would need a stand for them and a separate one for my drawing tablet that's fully articulate and adjustable. I might upgrade to that, since my budget i am saving up for the setup is 10k anyways, so putting the extra money into 2 monitors i can use freely and a drawing tablet as the third would be ideal for doing all the things i will use the setup for.
How are your monitors fixed to the wall, I didn't see any vertical poles anywhere. Also what led strip is that, is it just a generic colored led strip?
I would have to disagree with the First person shooter on triple surround. If you have it scaled correctly, your main screen will stay the same size, and your side two monitors are effectively triple your Field of view. You just need the correct aspect ratio. Arma 3 on triples helps alot to spot the enemies off to the side. I agree its a PITA to set-up and use. Cant wait for the 30xx series GPUs, as they will really help boost the usability of triples.
So really it's best for people who are freelancers, business owners, and artists. Personally speaking, my workflow for just having 2 has made things immensely easier but I'm about to get a 3rd so that it flows better.
ill be using my 3 monitor setup for gaming and streaming 1 for gaming 2nd for watching my obs music for stream, and 3rd for chat box and browsing videos
I have 3 monitors and I love it. I have my games running on center monitor, web browser on right monitor and porn playing on left monitor. It works perfectly
Most games will render in full 5780 * 1920, it is a competitive advantage because you have peripheral vision that no one else has, and you can see people run up next to you before they see you.
@@TechTesseract Every game I own released later than ~2010 DOES render extra FOV if you set the render resolution to 5760*1080. No stretch at all. This includes CSGO, Minecraft, Black Ops 3, Rocket League, Fortnite, Halo Master Chief Collection, Crackdown, to name a few. In this setup, the middle monitor shows exactly the same image as a single monitor setup, and the outer 2 monitors show parts of the scene that would not be rendered otherwise. It is equivalent to cranking up your FOV. In many FPS games, I find that I can sit in corners of buildings and see both entryways inside my hiding spot, making it much more difficult to sneak up on me. In Fortnite, poor programming allows the very edge of the camera to clip through walls for a rudimentry X-Ray cheat. My guess as to why ESports doesn't use triple monitors is because if diminishing returns as you get wider, and the significant decrease in frames/sec rendering such a high resolution.
Ive got 3 240hz/gsync monitors (500$ monitors) its so amazing to have. Waiting for 3080ti and hope itll run it perfect! Ive had 3 ultrawides before but that was too much haha.
My work computer has 4 monitors. Three 22" and the laptop screen. Since Covid, I moved to working from home and one of the 22" is now a 27" that is shared to my home Mac during off hours. Mine is pure workflow. The 27" has an editor where I make notes on the issue and resolution, next is my case logging software, and the next monitor is my email. The laptop screen monitors the phone system (and no other apps as at 15" I rely on the icons more than text to see what is happening.) Monitors #1 & #3 also have a web browser each with 3-5 tabs. Monitor 2 has the chat system behind the logging software (full screened) that I flip forward when not on calls and cases. I picked up another 22" a week or so ago, but I have to rearrange the desk a bit, the printer is moving by the router on the other side of the office. Yeah, I can get a little carried away with this stuff.
I have 1*27" and 2*24 monitor in NV surround. It's still very big, don't even imagine connecting ultra wide. 95% of the time I don't notice what's in the other two monitor. I am really disappointed spending all those money then I coupled my friends 2*19 inch and 1*22 inch monitor that's very enjoyable. Always go for small monitors as you can. It's way more immersive because three monitors are under your perception and I am not getting headaches watching the monitors.
i don't understand why people say it's basically good for racing sims only, i played world of warcraft in a triple monitor setup, and pvp was a breeze. being able to see whats on the side of you, is better turning your head a bit, as opposed to turning your character, as it will eat more bandwidth for your video card. and a lot of power, i have never seen that as an issue, i did it with an r9 280 4gig and i never had any issues, stayed well above 60 fps. and that was on 3 60 inch samsung tvs.
i agree 1000% lol, i got over triple gaming real fast cause of the inconvenience of resetting monitors all the time. like you, the multitasking for me is the true winner here. I CANT GO BACK MAN!! HOW DO PEOPLE WITH ONE MONITOR GO ON LIVING? kidding......no im not.........join us.........sell your house even if you dont own it......totally worth it
Just set up a triple screen config with Acer Predators 32'', 2560x1440 with 180 FOV... for sim racing this kicks ass! Played with VR (Vive Pro, Pimax 5K+) and Samsung 32:9 49'' before. For racing at the moment, there is NOTHING better! You are not faster, but safer and overall easier driving. Still, when VR will be on a level with decent resolutions and FOV, I probably will switch back to VR.
This is the problem with VR at the moment, it's so immersive but the resolution and FOV aren't up to par! It sucks because it feels like the tech is so close yet so far to its ultimate form.
As a triple monitor usesr who recently is bearing with dual monitors, I would say more screens you have, more productivity it is. Tried NFS, it was alright, you don't really pay attention to the extra screens. FPS games such as CSGO, you want to switch back to 1 screen once you played 5 seconds with 3 monitors. Overall, I still enjoy triple monitors. Only thing is they spread too much and is too wide (22 inch moniotors, not mentioning 27"), so this would be a concern as well. I have been planning to switch to a large 4k or 1440p, but after watching some videos talking about multiple monitors, I decided to stay. Maybe ultrawide + regular, or just stay with my 22inches triple. Thanks for the video, I now completely stand with my triple setup.
I have now a dual monitor both 60Hz I am used to it and played with the top players in some competitive games. Since i got a bit older i started to realize that a new monitor can make me improve my gameplay even more, that's the only reason why i should buy a new one... If i would buy a 240Hz monitor and use it as my main gaming screen will the 60Hz feel laggy when am just browsing on it? I never played on a higher hz monitor so i can't tell how it feels.
Use 1 screen for gaming, not just extend the gaming screen to the other 2 screens; because I refer gaming on 1 screen rather than on all screens... • If I do all screens of gaming from the game I play on, it looks weird & stretched out. Just game on 1 screen for now, but if you're feeling uncomfortable of having 3 screens to game on, you'll end up with severe headaches and so on down the line.
just take one of those huge resolution NASA pictures and crop it to that 11,520 x 6,480 edit: actually a triple 4k setup is 11,520 x 2,160 since you only add the horizontal pixels
I have two old Asus 1080p Monitors already but I also want to get a Asus 1440p for gaming on my new RTX 4070 Card. I’m also a case manager so multi monitor setup is a must
Hi. I know this is unlikely that you will see this, seeing as though the video is over two years long, but here's hoping. I have been using the three monitor setup for at least over a year now, and for some reason was curious about setups from other people. Anyway, i stumbled onto this video and I seems like you "know your stuff". The question is easy. My monitors are connected through one mount, which is placed on top of the desk. Would you recommend doing that you, and many others, have done? Which is having the wall mounts, so there is nothing on the desk itself holding them up. I feel like it would make it a lot clearer. Just curious. A side question, all of your monitors are at the same height/size. I assume this is more beneficial, in terms of looks and just general use. As for myself, my three monitors are all different, as I just kept buying a new one until I had three over time. This makes it look "ugly". Would you also suggest buying three of the exact same monitors? Or, due to the main/middle monitor being primarily used for gaming, having that as the "better" monitor and two on the side less so? Look forward to hearing back from you. I hope life has been good for you over the two years!
3:30 you need to change your FOV then. Maybe this is just an age thing but this is factually incorrect at least today - the middle monitor will contain the same as one monitor whilst the side ones will contain more information. But this is today. :)
used to have the 30" apple cinema display. then moved to a dual 27" setup. sometimes triple but didn't feel good at the time so stayed with double. then back so single monitor when the first retina iMac arrived. now back to dual displays in 32" and thinking about adding a third 32" or maybe a 43". want to increase productivity, don'T care about games... got some useful input here. thx
This video helped me get a brand new gaming setup. I am getting a new desk, and a new monitor. I’m gonna have 2 monitors. And my setup now, is on my channel.

Do you find accessing each monitor difficult? For example is it a pain to turn each one on individually or do you have it rigged for them to all turn on at once?
no need to turn them off. they go into standby mode when you shut your computer off or put it to sleep. and then they turn on automatically when they see a signal.

For some instances, it can be nice. But I can't image all the multitasking enabled with 3 screens will really improve your productivity.
Oh absolutely especially with 144hz and 1ms! - It's so worth it because I'm a Computer nerd/geek I freaking love it.
I can do so many task/things and do whatever I want and streaming/recording comes easy.
im running a triple 32 inch curved monitor setup. The curve really takes immersion to the next level in gaming!
For streaming of course but for Competetive Gaming not 👍🏻 nice video like always
Yeah definitely another good use! Thanks bro!
butatheflyboy I just use em cuz I like to multitask
I feel like for recording doe Id probably use a double screen pc but for live streams its almost a must have
@@LeCastloo Yes, it's cool to have at least 2 while streaming, because you can play on one and look at the chat, or have spotify or smth at the same time
@@pedrosilvaproductions for streaming a triple is almost a must have since if your stereaming lets say an update youll have obs open to record the game and then on the other you can check twitter and update logs
As a medical student I have 3 monitors. I had my 144hz monitor and bought cheap 75hz as a secondary and the third, well I just found an old small TV (only 720p) in our basement and now im using it as "entertaining sceen" for background noise when i'm studying or working (like spotify, movies etc).
If you enjoy gaming on multiple monitors great but you don't have to just because you have them.
do you think a 3060 ti will be able to run three monitors?
@@calebwright4381 the regular 3060 is able too so it should be able too
@@namename2040 okay thanks
Another fun thing about playing on 3 monitors is the advantage in fov you get. For example in minecraft on maxed fov and speed 2 potion you get a over 180 degree feld of view
Hi! Where did you bought this tabletop?
Thank you! Great video
I also have a triple monitor I use the middle one for games, the. 2nd one for therapy, the 3rd one for watching videos :)
Thanks for the info. I have a dual monitor set-up, and I'm gonna stick with it for now
So really it's best for people who are freelancers, business owners, and artists.
Personally speaking, my workflow for just having 2 has made things immensely easier but I'm about to get a 3rd so that it flows better.
brilliant video loved the editing!
Thanks anna!
ill be using my 3 monitor setup for gaming and streaming 1 for gaming 2nd for watching my obs music for stream, and 3rd for chat box and browsing videos
Nice!
Cheers
I have a dell curved monitor, is it possible to do this with a curved monitor and have 2 flat screened monitors ?
Left:Stream comments and donos
Middle:gaming
Right:my music😎
I have 3 monitors and I love it. I have my games running on center monitor, web browser on right monitor and porn playing on left monitor. It works perfectly
Most games will render in full 5780 * 1920, it is a competitive advantage because you have peripheral vision that no one else has, and you can see people run up next to you before they see you.
It's a competitive disadvantage. I don't see any competitive FPS players playing on 3 monitors lmao
And my desk is 7 meters haha
Awesome! Yeah 3 ultrawide is deffo overkill. Would hurt my neck having to turn ahaha

Would it be worth it for gaming streaming/recording and checking chat etc?????
@@TypicalTip thanks
I have 1*27" and 2*24 monitor in NV surround. It's still very big, don't even imagine connecting ultra wide. 95% of the time I don't notice what's in the other two monitor. I am really disappointed spending all those money then I coupled my friends 2*19 inch and 1*22 inch monitor that's very enjoyable. Always go for small monitors as you can. It's way more immersive because three monitors are under your perception and I am not getting headaches watching the monitors.
i don't understand why people say it's basically good for racing sims only, i played world of warcraft in a triple monitor setup, and pvp was a breeze. being able to see whats on the side of you, is better turning your head a bit, as opposed to turning your character, as it will eat more bandwidth for your video card. and a lot of power, i have never seen that as an issue, i did it with an r9 280 4gig and i never had any issues, stayed well above 60 fps. and that was on 3 60 inch samsung tvs.
i agree 1000%
lol, i got over triple gaming real fast cause of the inconvenience of resetting monitors all the time.
like you, the multitasking for me is the true winner here. I CANT GO BACK MAN!! HOW DO PEOPLE WITH ONE MONITOR GO ON LIVING?
kidding......no im not.........join us.........sell your house even if you dont own it......totally worth it
Yeah man! Exactly!

It sucks because it feels like the tech is so close yet so far to its ultimate form.
i already have TN + Ips Dual monitor with Vesa and ordered VA to replace TN but sounds like will try triple
Awesome 👊
Hod did you do the setup - did you have to use a HDMI splitter? or use the graphics card and the onboard graphics port?
i would use 2 monitors with hdmi and the 3rd with displayport

For sure triple screens is the Top of the top and if you have the track IR, it’s Amazing for every game
Cons for triple monitors: none.
Agree on all those points!
You explained everything I needed
I have now a dual monitor both 60Hz
I am used to it and played with the top players in some competitive games.
Just game on 1 screen for now, but if you're feeling uncomfortable of having 3 screens to game on, you'll end up with severe headaches and so on down the line.
nice video,just what i needed,thanks !^^
If you had 3 4k monitors set up like that, you would need a 11,520 x 6,480 wallpaper. Where would you even find one with that resolution??
just take one of those huge resolution NASA pictures and crop it to that 11,520 x 6,480
edit: actually a triple 4k setup is 11,520 x 2,160 since you only add the horizontal pixels
It most certainly is. Especially if you multitask often. Even more so now since games are beginning to support multiple monitors..
And my setup now, is on my channel.
good stuff mate!!
Thanks mate!
Thank you so much I have three monitors and I’m wondering why do you have this much why do I need this so thank you for solving my problems

great if you're a developer, my node terminal on the left, center vs code, right is the web app I'm developing.
personally, my prefered is the main big monitor landscape being something like 32inch and a side portrait monitor being about 27inch will do for any and probably all needs
thats kinda my plan. currently have a 32 main and 24s on the sides. not sure if i need 27s.
@@Stackalimy plan is exactly what you have already, so do you recommend it, i still havent bought the 32" monitor...
Awesome. Made me rethink.
Everyone has one screen… Most people have two screens (Comes standard for office jobs). If you want to stand out, you have to get three screens. Bottom line: the pros outweigh the cons by far when it comes to triple screens.
Question is what’s the name of your white keyboard ⌨️ with led
What's your mount for the triple screen???
I've linked them in the description :D
Hi Josh, please do a show on whats the best device to use for hooking up 1 laptop to 3 monitors. I see a ton of "switches" basically switching multiple pcs but not what is needed. also a ton of devices that just dont work well with a laptop. thank you
Thanks for the vid man. Very informative. Still dont know what I want to do though 🤯 I've been arguing with myself for about a year now.
You know what kinda annoys me? Paying 500 for three monitors then it goes on sale right after you order
Monitor size?
If you are willing to become programmer , yes you do , why ? One monitor will be the codes line , the second will be tutorials course UA-cam anything , third can be documents for the program as reference or can be testing the project you work one .. definitely worth it
The critical thing is, that I have one 29" monitor, 27" curved monitor and am planning to buy a 27" flat monitor and I do not know how to put these shit up.
What are you using to glow around your monitors.. looks cool..
Do you find accessing each monitor difficult? For example is it a pain to turn each one on individually or do you have it rigged for them to all turn on at once?
no need to turn them off. they go into standby mode when you shut your computer off or put it to sleep. and then they turn on automatically when they see a signal.
What game is that you're playing at the 3:40 mark?
sorry for the amount of 4k monitors im about to ask about but which one is the best , out of these based on making content online and best visuals / trading . 1. A quick question;
Triple monitors look very good, but won't VR replace it????
As someone who does a lot of research projects, three monitors are super handy.
What size monitors are those?
Hi, that setup (triple monitor) worth it using a macbook pro? what else should i have to make it works?
Can you have your games open on one screen and recording software on the other screen? Or are you forced to play all games using all 3 monitors
U arnt forced to always use 3 monitors u can enable it when u want to through the software he mentioned or just use the monitors normally (seperately)
Very useful stuff.. Thanks for sharing
No probs, thanks for watching!
