I just laugh when they say using everything available, 250 firefighters and 10 appliances as of last night, that so pathetic.. this town needs to seriously invest in more emergency crews and equipment, you get a quarter of that "response" of fire fighters in my small town of 10k people.
I feel sorry for the people that have lost everything, but that mayor needs jailing for not doing her job she obviously doesnt budget well fir the emergency crews

When Ralph Klein was premier of Alberta, didn't he do major cutbacks to essential government services, and even privitized some? Yes he did. Did the Alberta PC governments that came after Peter Lougheed waste billions and billions of dollars on multiple very costly scandals? Yes they did. Some of them include the Swan Hills waste treatment facility scandal, which cost around $5 billion, Ralph Klein's electricity deregulation disaster, which has cost Albertans over $30 billion, the $26 billion refinery plant boondoggle and Alison Redford's $10 billion tobaccogate scandal, involving her ex husband. There were many more very costly scandals from the Alberta PCs, besides these. Did the Alberta PC governments, that came after Peter Lougheed virtually deplete the Heritage Savings Trust Fund? Yes they did. Did the Alberta PC governments, that came after Peter Lougheed get bargain basement royalty rates for our natural resource revenues, thus forfeiting Alberta of multitudes of billions of dollars in extra revenue? Yes they did. Did the Alberta PC governments, after Peter Lougheed allow corporations to pay a pittance in taxes and also take even more of our revenue back to their countries of orgin, further reducing Alberta's revenue stream? That did happen. So now, in difficult situations like this, Alberta doesn't have enough money for important things.
