Thanks you for watching! I did end up getting a studio license to support the development of software. It's pretty awesome and I love the fact that it's a perpetual license. More and more software is going to a subscription based model and it kinda sucks for hobbyists like myself, so I appreciate the fact Plasticity (and Alibre) allows users to own the software.
A perfect intro to plasticity for me. As a newcomer to all things design other videos were a bit too quick and difficult to keep up with. I will spend a few hours repeating your design flow over this coming weekend as that's how I can learn best. Thanks again and please, keep these plasticity tutorials coming!
Thank you for watching! I'm going to record another plasticity tutorial tonight for the "transport hanger" TTT released today. Here is the link if you want to give that a go. ua-cam.com/video/YbCB8rDQrZY/v-deo.html I'm also new to plasticity so let's learn together :)
@@davinchewk Thanks for the link, I have subscribed as that looks fun...very intimidating but fun. I'll be honest, I'm just getting my head around all the Shortcut keys as i have a cheat sheet that I downloaded from maker tales. Once I get up and running ill give it a go.
Thanks! It was definitely quite a challenge learning how to do things in plasticity. I would love to get your feedback as to how you would have approached this model, and if you have any tips and tricks I should learn about. I'm more of an Alibre guy, but plasticity was a nice change of pace.
Great tutorial! Keep it up! I am a Plasticity user since today and searched for some tutorials. That's when I found your channel. Love how you explain everything, others tend to rush trough their tutorials. Subscribed.
Hey! Thanks for the comment. I am also a new user of Plasticity (CAD in general) so I thought making tutorials where I detail things and techniques I've learned would help others like yourself. Thanks you for the subscription. I'm glad you liked the video.
Great Tutorial! Been Working with Fusion for a few years now to design my own parts for prototyping. I just started to learn Plasticity and looked around for a few days. There is not much on parametric modeling so this tutorial is most welcome. Thank you!
It's helpful to watch new users think through modeling problems like this, thanks

Brings back memories of my initial experiences with Plasticity. Great video. And remember, practice, practice, practice. 😉

Just found your channel
Welcome!
Actually there IS dimensioning in Plasticity!
Yes there is! I often use "dimensioning" and constraints interchangeably.
