I had to stop the video because I laughed out loud at 10:48 when Laura said "Oh-blisk" and I'm sure it must have been Aaron who did the editing, because of the correction with dictionary pronunciation!😆🤣 SO funny! You guys never disappoint! 😄
Hello you two, as always very informative. I have only just started dealing with the landscape in my garden last month after finding your videos, thank you SO much. I didn't know where to even begin, but you have really given me SO MUCH inspiration I have felt able to start clearing land and have planted containers on my decking. The auger was fabulous to see (will have to check the price) and also the RE hose would be great if I can install it on my own (?). Again THANK YOU, I have been so overwhelmed for such a long time, but I feel blessed to have found you (and though I say so myself, I'm so proud of what I've accomplished in just a month), but it's all thanks to both of you. God Bless and take care (Wendy, North Wales, UK)
Hi Laura and Aaron! This was fun to watch. All of the products look really nice and will be very handy. I agree with other commenters that you could figure out a way to install the hose reel for your parents garden center. I hope that is what you do for them. Thank you for sharing!
I love watching every single one of your videos! I always get wonderful ideas and information. I have to wonder though, what kind of person watches this video, and gives it a thumbs down? I'll never understand that.
Oh no! Now Laura is making gopher mounds out on the new property! Lol! Those Verona Obelisks were so easy to set up, and they are the perfect sizes to use in planters. ~Margie
Thank you! I bought an auger that was long enough to drill dirt out from under a sidewalk so I could run drip to the north side of our house. I followed one of your videos how to do it. Worked great! Then I used that auger to drill holes for 50 Zinnias. Worked great for that too and saved hands, back and knees. Learning to work smarter!❤️. Keep the tips, tricks and info coming!
Like others, I'm sure, I choke-laughed at *OB E LISK* and I'm still kind of giggling about it. You should show us how hard it is to get a shovel into the soil on the new property so you can really drive home the benefit of using an auger. Thanks for the "bonus" video! 😁
Hi Laura, when you held up the cloche with the extension attached it looks like a bell and I thought, hmmm 🤔 that might make an interesting outdoor Christmas ornament that someone with your creativity could dress up and turn it into something really beautiful. Maybe add some lights and/or greenery and ribbon? Just a thought.
Thank you, Laura and Aaron! This kind of product review video is so helpful to me, a beginner outside gardener. A while ago you recommended the Fiskars 30 gallon hard shell bottom Kangaroo Garden Bag. I have trouble lifting stuff and have very weak hands. First concerned about not able to connect the toggles for storage of the pop up bag, but it is easy! Also, nice to drag around the yard because of the hard shell bottom. This was super helpful to move my pruning waste of 12, 4 ft. tall grasses to make way for new growth. Want to try the chicken wire cloches! Please, please keep making the product review videos so we buy the right products instead of wasting our money on inferior products. 👏🏻👍🤗
Hello Laura love you guys take care love everything you doing in your garden like I bought the new property you guys stay safe and you take it easy you work so hard love you guys take care God-bless
Hey Laura, my OH has just informed me while I was watching your video, that when you tighten the chuck on your auger, go as tight as you can, then click it back one click as though you were going to loosen it and it locks the chuck in position. Just thought it was a handy tip 🙂
Awesome! I can't wait to put these goodies to use in the garden! Thank you for always being one step ahead and sharing all of your incredible knowledge with everyone within this community! We love you!
Yes! Isn't this just like a DIY where you're all excited to do it only to find it ain't that easy! Always something! I agree on just building the 4x4 wall, but maybe there is something below that they can't put it in the ground.
I finally found the name of a shrub that I think would be perfect for your moon garden. It is a Gold Thread Spiraea thunbergii 'Ogon' I have 2 of them in my mama's memorial garden and could not be more pleased with their beauty and graceful growth. I saw your spiraea video this morning but this form is different...it still has only white flowers on the long flowing stems that then give way to chartreuse leaves that don't fade or change until they fall for winter. It matures to 3 to 4 feet tall and wide. I feel mine got bigger...closer to 4 feet tall and 5 feet wide as specimen plants in 3 years. It is cold hardy to zone 4. I am in zone 7 in Richmond, VA. BTW...loved meeting you last year at the Phila. Flower Show ☺, Never miss watching your wonderful videos.
Wow, that vase is amazing. Not my esthetic either but the fact that you can change the water and cut stems is excellent. You would fill the water source and then cut the stems holding them under the faucet. Plenty of time before the ends seal.
Where there's a will, there's a way to make the hose reel work in your folk's greenhouse. Lots of tips using 4x4 posts in the comments. The Twist'n Plant was impressive and I agree the Obelisk, however you pronounce it ;) would make a classy art statement in the garden.
10:07 that could be a super adorable centerpiece during Christmas!! Fill it with greenery and or lights and put on top of one of your pedestals (sort of like a Christmas bell topiary!)
Oh Laura your such a good sport at your own "oops" moments. Love your channel and Love sharing you with family and friends... especially during this challenging time with covid19. Love your Christ like up beat attitude which I'm very drawn too. Keep healthy and safe. Huge Hugs!
I just purchased the twist n plant !! Waiting for delivery. I was actually wondering if you would get one and do a video!! You’re channel is so helpful and very accurate. 🙏
I will have to order that auger. Az soil is so hard. I bet if you took the top piece of the clotch (msp), and slip it up from the bottom of the larger piece. It will hook together easier.
Wow! Impressive garden tools. Your new Obelisks would look great in your gardens, with all of the Sweet Peas you have seeded. I think they would look great in the bed behind your chicken run, with the 2 largest ones at the ends of a lineup, with the 2 short ones between them, spaced out 2 - 3 feet equally. Hopefully that would give you some shade on your chicken pen, during the hot months. Also might consider putting them (with a tall one and short one) on each side of the window, in the bed where you removed the dead Elm Tree, newly lined with bricks. But then you would need to find a new home for the trellis currently leaning against the wall, to the left of the window. But know you will find the best plants and locations for them. Great fun on where to best utilize them.
Just a suggestion, on your augers or anything that will spin in your drill, take them and file down flat spot with a bench grinder or file... i had the same problem and filed down a small flat section on a drill bit on the bench grinder, just enough for the chuck to grab n not let it spin, now everything has a flat spot on it
Laura uses one by Dramm and they are a bit pricey. Last year I was so tired of buying replacements and having them leak all over and drip down my arm that I caved and bought one. It works really well, no leaking, and is still going strong!
You can put down 3 layers of cardboard, then your cut grass from your yard then mulch heavy. You will have a nice area to plant next year without digging or tilling your soil! If you add cow manure or horse that speed things up
My Proven Winners auger was delivered last week and I purchased the Dewalt drill you use but I noticed you didn't have your side handle on. I purposely bought the Dewalt drill with the side handle because yours had one in a previous video. Does the side handle help with angering or is it not really necessary? I will make sure I tighten the chuck 😆. I can't wait to try the Espoma Land & Sea compost, I hope my garden center has it.
Maybe that tiny auger going at the gopher holes will show the gophers who's boss? No, not saying hurt them but maybe the sound and invasion will help make them relocate? My grandpa used to tell me to use dynamite... I never knew if he was serious or not but I just chose to watch my step ;)
That auger was really nice, do you think box stores would carry it? That correction that showed up on the screen was funny. Can’t wait to see where you put your new goodies:) have a wonderful weekend:)
I was just saying to myself the other day that I could use a retractable hose at my house...feel free to come on over with your extra and I’ll even help install it! Haha! I wish! 😉
I so want/need that auger. Laura you mentioned amending that crappy soil (which I have) with gypsum. Do I just get that at local greenhouse? What does it do? I added some Miracle Grow in-ground flower soil I found at Home Depot today and some Plant tone when I planted. Now I need to know if I need this gypsum you speak of...do I need to pull back mulch and layer across bed or just at where I planted? Thanks!!! My goal is to one day visit your garden or at least your town and hit up the nursery and just drive by your home and 😁🥰😊
I'm starting to do raised bed gardening got inspired with your videos. I've been looking for espoma soil for so long. I did the lookup on there website and went to each garden center but they only sell the fertilizers. Do you have any website you can recommend where I can order the soil? Or do your garden center sell it online?
4:25/4:26 I am SUPER excited to see how you guys work and amend that area. I live in Virginia (6b) where we have red clay soil thats pretty nasty in parts. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE post that type of content 🙌🏽
I have an unusual question for Gardeners Supply Hose. Since you use them, can I use that hose with a timer on it for my drip irrigation? I’m interested in attaching it to my rain barrel & drip irrigation to my Veggie Trug (from Gardner Supply.)

That hose reel is something I need to get! My hose is always getting kinks...I guess I need t to buy a serious non kinking hose... any recommendations?
I ordered the willow cloche from Gardener’s Supply, but it is out of stock until tomorrow. I had to flip a coin between the chicken wire that you have and the rattan one because I couldn’t make up my mind. I need it to cover my good-sized strawberry. Either a chipmunk or squirrel has been digging at its base. It loved the spot in the garden last year, and I don’t want to lose it.
I'm sure someone has already mentioned this in the comments... just sink a 4x4 post leaving about 4' out of the ground & attach the hose reel. I've watched other videos & that's what they do. You can then install near any water source
I really like Espoma (when I can find it). A lot of the nurseries near me don't have the land and sea compost. I was able to get the cow manure (but really wanted the compost) I wish they had a way to order the soil online. Anyhoo, love your videos!
I really could of used that custom auger 2 weeks ago): It was torture digging all those holes by hand , and took so much time/: I’ll certainly be using those obelisks; they’re perfect.
I had to stop the video because I laughed out loud at 10:48 when Laura said "Oh-blisk" and I'm sure it must have been Aaron who did the editing, because of the correction with dictionary pronunciation!😆🤣 SO funny! You guys never disappoint! 😄
Sun these people were born for each other, they match very well, he is very calm and she is very energetic
Sun Soul i laughed out loud too!
It was hilarious!🤣😂🤣
She mispronounces ‘cloche’ every time, too!
Yes! That was hilarious!
Aaron throwing that obelisk shade LOL
Gabriela G I know it made me Literately laugh out loud
🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@NozeieGirl me too

The editing and humor in this one is just unreal. Love it.
Love the humor, and that you don’t take yourselves too seriously! 😊

Laura, your colloquial language is accepted by all of us that love you. And now I need to go buy that auger.
Hi Laura and Aaron! This was fun to watch. All of the products look really nice and will be very handy. I agree with other commenters that you could figure out a way to install the hose reel for your parents garden center. I hope that is what you do for them. Thank you for sharing!

Nice goodies to play with. Looking forward to seeing the obelisk in your garden. The auger looks amazing. I need one of those!
So happy you guys keep humor in your videos! 💚💚💚💚💚💚

That cloche, with or without the extender, would make an awesome DIY for light fixtures for a farmhouse or more industrial style. Love them!!!
Funny how the added the bwamp bwamp bwamp before saying the bad news lol right away I went 😲
Those wire thingy’s are real cool....I could see lights made into them. Want!!!!!
Was anyone one else so excited when Laura said they were going to her parent greenhouses for the hose? Love getting to see peaks of the garden center
Like others, I'm sure, I choke-laughed at *OB E LISK* and I'm still kind of giggling about it.

This year was my first year of producing a tiny garden. The tools shown are great! Had no idea
Thank you, Laura and Aaron! This kind of product review video is so helpful to me, a beginner outside gardener. All of those look like great products. Can’t wait to see the updates. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 happy weekend!
You and that cloche made me laugh out loud this morning. Thank you for that! Also, I love this video idea. Can't wait to hear how they all worked out!
Hahah! Love the dictionary pronunciation added and the “failure” music at the garden center. You guys are hilarious :)
Hey Laura, my OH has just informed me while I was watching your video, that when you tighten the chuck on your auger, go as tight as you can, then click it back one click as though you were going to loosen it and it locks the chuck in position. Just thought it was a handy tip 🙂

I love the chicken wire cloches from Gardener’s! They are super sturdy and cute 😊
I’d definitely love to see a follow up where you installed a 4x4 and the hose!!!
Laura this auger is the best, I bought it after watching a video you made thank you so much for sharing.🙂
Thank you so much for sharing your plant enthusiasm and knowledge.
Why wouldn't you just sink a 4x4 in the ground up against the wall for a mount?
Thats what I was thinking! My hubby created a wall mount for my new retractable hose in my front yard after I loved the one in my back yard so much!
Yes! Isn't this just like a DIY where you're all excited to do it only to find it ain't that easy! Always something! I agree on just building the 4x4 wall, but maybe there is something below that they can't put it in the ground.
That’s what my husband did for me and it works great on a 4x4 post🌻
@@jot4336 Could be. Perhaps we will find out in the next few videos.
I agree. Just sink a 4X4 in the ground and help your parents.
I finally found the name of a shrub that I think would be perfect for your moon garden. I wish the Obelisk correction came up every time Laura said Ohblisk 😂🤣
Love the cloches with the extendable bits
You can beef up the 2x4 frames with more 2x4's and for added support add a piece of 5/8th plywood to attach the hose mechanism to
“If you have soil like this...please amend it.” 🤣
I’ve worked on a landscape crew, that auger would’ve been a game changer! They still use trowels!
Wow, that vase is amazing. Not my esthetic either but the fact that you can change the water and cut stems is excellent. You would fill the water source and then cut the stems holding them under the faucet. Plenty of time before the ends seal.
I so enjoy the humor!! Obelisk
Omg!! Loving that auger
The cloche turned upside down with moss (example) for an inner lining could be used as a planter with an awesome shape. Just thinking...Blessings,
Where there's a will, there's a way to make the hose reel work in your folk's greenhouse. Lots of tips using 4x4 posts in the comments. The Twist'n Plant was impressive and I agree the Obelisk, however you pronounce it ;) would make a classy art statement in the garden.
😂 I’m cracking up. I never say that word right either!😂
OK, Laura and Aaron, you are becoming veritable sitcom stars now...When Hollywood comes calling, please say "No" ... we need you to keep gardening!
I have been wanting to see a product unboxing video!!! Its been a while and I love getting to see new products.
Great stuff. Always learn from your videos ❤️
I love my Twist and plant!
Love watching your videos, you inspired me to grow more flowers, I do need one of that Rewall hose , thanks for the info 👍🏼
10:07 that could be a super adorable centerpiece during Christmas!! Fill it with greenery and or lights and put on top of one of your pedestals (sort of like a Christmas bell topiary!)
It even looks like a Yuletide bell.
😃🙋🏽♂️‼️
come this holiday season you could use the chicken wire cloche to create large succulent holiday bells 🔔
👍🏾😉... just a suggestion
'Gourmet' compost. Made me smile.🌿😸
I died at the Obelisk part! 😂😂
Oh Laura your such a good sport at your own "oops" moments. Love your channel and Love sharing you with family and friends... especially during this challenging time with covid19. Love your Christ like up beat attitude which I'm very drawn too.
Keep healthy and safe. Huge Hugs!
Oh put it in the garden centre. Can’t you put it on a 4x4 post in the ground and do that.🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
The wire close would be so cute to do something with at Christmas time since they look like bells
Trevor Hess
haha... i just read your comment 🤦🏽♂️
The setup of these obelisks is REALLY hard you guys...

How funny. Earlier this week I asked a question if you had ever tried the new PW Auger! I think I need/want this!!!
That auger is awesome
Install a 4x4 post inside the greenhouse in the corner. Then attach it to that.
Definitely entertaining! Haha some neat items to think about and I will try to remember to tighten the chuck......🤣
Thanks Aaron ! Now I finally learned how to say "Obelisk" :)
Just a suggestion, on your augers or anything that will spin in your drill, take them and file down flat spot with a bench grinder or file... i had the same problem and filed down a small flat section on a drill bit on the bench grinder, just enough for the chuck to grab n not let it spin, now everything has a flat spot on it
Could you review/recommend a water wand that doesn’t leak and that would last more than one season, I can’t seem to find one.
Laura uses one by Dramm and they are a bit pricey. Last year I was so tired of buying replacements and having them leak all over and drip down my arm that I caved and bought one. It works really well, no leaking, and is still going strong!
Dramm is a dream. About $35 but awesome.
Oh I need that auger
Very interesting enjoy learning about new things even if it isn't something I could use.
I love the obelisk. Looks very different. God Bless.
Obelisk 😆 nice one Aaron
You can put down 3 layers of cardboard, then your cut grass from your yard then mulch heavy. You will have a nice area to plant next year

I say obelisk the exact same way! You are not alone ( unless perhaps i say it that way because you taught me, lol)💚
Yeah, that's wrong, lol. Say it however you want, but that word has three syllables and the o is a short o, pronounced "ah."
Could you put a freestanding 4x4 post in the nursery greenhouse so they can use the hose reel?
You were funny in this video. Thanks
What is, and where do you order, the cleanup tarp with handles that you used to carry the straw bales for your fall decorating?
Lol, I love her sarcasm
Maybe that tiny auger going at the gopher holes will show the gophers who's boss? No, not saying hurt them but maybe the sound and invasion will help make them relocate? My grandpa used to tell me to use dynamite... I never knew if he was serious or not but I just chose to watch my step ;)
Oh-blisk, ah-belisk. That was great.
Can you install a 4×4 post in the ground by the wall then install the hose reel?
Thanks!!! Did you and Aaron decide to pass on buying compost and mulch in bulk?
Love it's and thank you for sharing🤗🤗🤗🤗

4:25/4:26 I am SUPER excited to see how you guys work and amend that area. I live in Virginia (6b) where we have red clay soil thats pretty nasty in parts. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE post that type of content 🙌🏽
question: do augers work to pull out weeds? I'm pulling out a bunch of weeds in our garden and could really use some help.
Классные покупки.
I have an unusual question for Gardeners Supply Hose. Since you use them, can I use that hose with a timer on it for my drip irrigation? I’m interested in attaching it to my rain barrel & drip irrigation to my Veggie Trug (from Gardner Supply.)
That’s funny what you said about Black & Decker. They are the parent company of Dewalt. You would think if both drills used a 20 volt battery they would perform the same.
That hose reel is something I need to get! My hose is always getting kinks...I guess I need t to buy a serious non kinking hose... any recommendations?
Awesome video!
