Struggling with the dust again this year so just imagine how good some of these places could have been with some damp gravel. Got some impressive fast stuff though, hope you enjoy!

Who else is as impressed as me by these fearless camera people? They really trust these drivers that much
I always think about the risk, and look for an escape route. Never had any close calls in 15 years,
These guys are hauling balls in real cars, on real tracks, with very real consequences. And they do it faster, smoother, and far better than I can manage even in a video game!

People, please. This is fantastic, I love it, I drive it in sims, and I have so much respect for the drivers, but please, dont compare this to F1. They are massively different disciplines. They both go in, highly trained, accepting that their lives are in the hands of the race. F1 is an engineering feat, and focuses on precise cornering etc, where as rally is about pushing the car to the edge, nudging it around every corner, skating more than steering. These are not the same, and all drivers in each sport are fantastic athletes. No WRC driver could succeed in F1, and no f1 drivers could succeed in WRC
I’d say f1 is more so about pushing the car to the edge..... in a perfect world you could run every lap with low or medium tyres but the car simply can’t do that. I think rally takes way more skill, f1 is more focused on gauged on the car limits them selves, and the driver performin well Corning, and not getting stuck in traffic

@@harywhizz7856 It's not really that, but dominated by the French since Petter Solberg won in 2003 it's been won by Sebastien Loeb and Sebastien Ogier. Only this year was non french with Ott Tänak from Estonia . Scandinavia is Norway, Sweden and Denmark btw

Such incredible drivers. Incredible machines. Incredible roads. And footage to compliment it all! I think the dust adds to the visual spectacle and helps enhance the feeling of speed. As someone who visited Rally Finland in 2005 (from Australia), I can confirm that seeing this in person is truly unbelievable - the speeds on gravel roads is mind-bending.

@@TorAndreBrresen Some of the camera locations are just awesome and capture the sounds, speed, cornering, cutting the lines very well.
In my opinion some of the best footage out there, really captures the excitement of rallying.
Hyundai did an excellent job in 2019. They cars and drivers were amazing.

Because the WRC crew understands that a small mistake made or a technical fault and you end up dead. At least some of these clips are filmed in locations which are not allowed to spectators...
@@elonkuva True, but a lot of it could be achieved with tripods and other remote filming methods. The sounds alone are better than the WRCs footage, and even a lot of the long-distance shots.
Apart from the small shakedown jump, where i had WRC TV right behind me i think i stayed pretty safe this year.

I like the sound of the engine during the jump. Can someone explain to me why that particular sound is? Why is it happening? Maybe a technical explanation, I don't know. Thank you.
Think the sound you are talking about is the sound of the engine hitting the rev limiter.
With the wheels off the ground there is a massively reduction on the load on the drivetrain and the drivers don't lift off, so the engine revs quickly rise.
@@tbtstt Oh, interesting, i search for it. I'm not good in cars, although i love races. So, it's a limiter that prevents a vehicle's engine from being pushed beyond the manufacturer's limit known as the redline. Now, using my profane words, to me the sound seems like the inverse spins trying to come back. The car lands and the rotations are resumed. Basically, the engine is released from the weight of the car, breathes in those seconds trying to recover, if my understanding is correct :)
