The thumbs-down used too much dynamite.
LOL
And there’s only one
I always love reading your thumbsdown comment 😅
Don’t forget, as Marshall Trimble stated : “There We’re very few banks in the west to begin with “
@@hangman1914 Cleary not as many today. The population was not like today, either (to warrant a lot of banks).
"Unless there was a 'no gun' ordinance, you couldn't be sure who was armed." What a fantastic deterrent! And a perfect call for concealed carry today.
Yep. "An armed society is a polite society."
@@JeffDeWitt I agree with you completely, and may I add that it's also a safer one.
Ditto!
Has worked very well for us here in Arizona.
I've had my concealed carry for about 8 years now in Wisconsin it's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it the old saying goes 👊
Nowadays the bank robs you!
Yep, including the stock market!
In Soviet Russia- oh, wait...
LOL
You got that right 👍👊
Not that much actual cash in the banks today. Better off robbing a grocery store ona Friday when they have more cash so customers can cash paychecks.
Was just thinking about this while playing red dead redemption 2 . Damn fine video as always
Love that game. Thank you!
Its almost like armed people are dissuading criminals from commiting crimes. Who would have thought?
As they say, "An armed society is a polite society."
@@ArizonaGhostriders I guess that makes Liberals and Leftists rude, uncouth, and down right nasty.
@@freedomcat Liberals, yes. But leftists are actually very pro gun
@@foreverdm7000 yes. For them to have them and no one else.
@@freedomcat What? No not true at all
The succesful ones were pretty rare. That's why they became myth outlaws. When we read about their lives the story often end in "killed by gunshot wounds". So better be in the right side of the law.
Yeah. It eventually caught up with them.
@@ArizonaGhostriders Yep and Frank James was a rarity among outlaws. He died from old age!
That or just go rob something else a little safer.. lol
Thanks, another great start for Saturday. Have a good day.
Thanks, you too!
since the odds are against my weekend plans i guess ill just go pick apples
Safer
Hey Santee you should do a video on musical instruments in The old west
Yes
Santee: Who wants to help me rob Wells Fargo?
Rex: Rooooaaar!!
Bill: Forgets PIN...
We're a mess.
I guess because of Covid stuff it isn't as suspicious running away from a bank with a mask on xD
Blew my mind first time I walked into my local bank wearing a mask and gloves. Just seemed so horrendously surreal. But the tellers were wearing those too. Everyone was *real* friendly.
If you notice the absence of a gun in that sequence...I was not sure how far I could push filming this!
@@ArizonaGhostriders maybe i can help "the Scott - De Becker" - gang! 😂😂😂
@@ArizonaGhostriders If you actually warn the cops beforehand, you can push amazingly far...
@@notfeedynotlazy yeah, it's down to time involved with setting that up. I'm kind of a "run-and-gun" guerilla filmmaker. I see it, I wanna do it then and there. Get in, and get out!
I think I put some money in that Wells Fargo before. Nice duster by the way
Oh...I've got it here when you need it. The money. Not the duster! Well, ok. You can borrow the duster.
Yeah Medicine Lodge! Thanks Great grandpa for putting those rapscallions in the hoosegow! (He's the guy in the back holding the door open...)
Yup
Santee is a method actor. He actually robbed that bank. Great episode!
I studied the Meisner technique.
You said not knowing who was armed if there was no gun ordinate, was a deterrent for bank robbery. Thank you, I think you just solved the gun law argument
Yup. That's what they teach you in concealed cary classes. I wonder how many armed robberies were thwarted by the bad guy wondering about that suspicious dude in the corner.
Good old Elmer was more successful after death than he was alive. At least earning money. We have a had a few other bank robberies here in Oklahoma where the outlaw blew the safe up and caught the money on fire. You're right about the banks being difficult to rob. You had perfect example with the Daltons and James-Younger gang. Trains and stagecoaches came somewhat easier.
Thank you! Yes, Stagecoaches were way easier. Less men to holdup, and they were usually far from getting a posse together.
Here I am Hearties and Folks
8:14 AM }{ 10//3//2020
Glad you watched
Too funny. I love ypur talent Santee. Loved this episode. Thanks man
Thank you! Much appreciated, amigo!
Fargo ha ha I watched a documentary about this bank. They were robbers to their own staff and not mentioning other things. Anyway. Very well done and I liked very much
Glad you enjoyed it!
For a second I thought Bill had actually came back from the dead and started his career again.
I don't think he ever stopped.
Hey Santee, how about one on ATM's in the old west...
Hmmm.....
uh. No.
Ha! I believe I’ve found a series here! Very cool!
Cool, thanks!
Santee, you and Bill done messed up now! Ya don't rob Wells Fargo! Now, yer gonna have Jim Hardy after ya! Best just to give yerself up now!
I returned the money at the end there. Just deposited it into the machine
You don't rob Wells Fargo banks, Wells Fargo banks rob you!
Thanks for the great history lesson 👍👊🤠 didn't Butch and Sundance use too much Dynamite on one of their train robberies ? 🤔
I think Bill gave you a thumbs down because he got caught 😂🤣
🤠 LATTER PARD 🤠
🦅🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🦅
Yes they did. Blew the whole train car up.
If robbing banks is wrong, I don't wanna be right!!🏴☠️
Just kidding F.B.I GUY!!!
lol
Hello Arizona Ghostriders, from Down under Australia.
Love your pet TREX.
Hey, thanks!
I was channeling Jesse James recently and he told me that he much preferred robbin' trains. No safes to crack or blow up & doesn't have to be in a hurry or shoot his way off the train 🙂
He was right. Did he also mention that he likes your coat?
Ahhhh, the "Apple Dumplin' Gang!" When Disney movies were still worth watching... 😔
Great video!
One of my favorites
Ah Northfield, proof that you shouldn't rob a Minnesota bank on the opening day of deer season.
Hahah!
You got that right 😂🤣 I'm a Deer hunter 2 from Wisconsin 👍👊🤠
What scenes were you using I wanna watch
Looked like barney fife!!!!
🤠
As always thanks for the video. The thumbs down must be from Bill's accomplise.
Could be
LOVE LOVE LOVE YOUR VIDEO'S KEEP UP THE GREAT AND AMAZING JOB....#WHAT THE PARANORMAL RAID!!!
Thank you! Will do!
Butch Cassidy: “Who are those guys?”
The Sundance Kid: “Whatever you can come up with to get us out of this is fine by me, but whatever you come up with it better be now!”
Great movie.
Bank robberies in towns, did happen, but few of them were successful.
The robbers were easily caught by lawmen while attempting to flee away.....or they ended up shot dead in gunfight.
In Old West, most common types of robberies were *stagecoach* and *homestead* robberies.
These types of robberies occured in secluded areas with no law enforcement, thus the outlaws easily preyed upon them.
Thanks for reiterating what I said in the video!
Happy Tuesday santee my friend don’t get caught robbing that bank lol interesting upload santee you rock my true friend it’s always a pleasure to see such a genuine friend take care and don’t get caught robbing that bank 20.750 dollars wow that must of been a fortune like from me 👍
HA! Yes, at 20K I'm not sure why they didn't just quit.
Hey you guys should do one on snake chaps in the old west
Snake chaps....hmmm...
That's a dangerous place to have to reach for your wallet pard.
Love your vids soooo...keep it up....👍
Thank you!
Panshot! HiHiHiHi!
Panshot! HiHiHiHi!

I used to live in Wichita Falls Tx, last lynching in tbe area happened in 1898, a couple of bank robers killed a teller and ended up lynched later that afternoon.
They wasted no time and not a taxpayers dime.
I'd heard they weren't as common as depicted in media. Still a fun fiction element. Thanks.
You're welcome. Not as common, but clearly they did happen.
Interesting stuff Santee ! Have you done one on the train robbers yet?
Not yet
Great video. Not only were there not nearly as many attempted bank robberies as commonly thought but most were not successful. Further, this was the age of a armed population and the risks had to be calculated. Santee is spot on that store robberies or express office robberies were more common but still risky.
Brian, thanks for reiterating exactly what I said in the video! Lol!
Yes, I’ll mention the Bisbee massacre and other store robberies in a future episode
"I'll show you customer service" great line, wonder if a robber(s) in the old west said that at a bank robbery, failed or not.
Probably.
You have to do one on the Wilcox train robbery and blowing pesos (dobe) everywhere. Wheeler and George could have been Conway and Knotts.
That's a great idea. HA!
Good video indeed ..that film news of the world with Tom hanks looks like it's gonna be good ..love a good western .. especially a good one .last one was tomahawk I watched with Kurt russel savage to say the least ..
Yeah, the Bone....was a rough one. But well done.
I like that in red dead redemption 2 (spoilers) the failed saint Denis robbery had big consequences unlike most old west shows or games
Yup
Santee, where did you get your coat for the opening sequence? It looks like something my dad would wear.
It's a duster, which is a classic Victorian era linen or canvas coat that covers your clothes so you don't get...dusty. Also, it's classic bank robber garb.
The distillery’s are cooking the autumn batches around here now. The corn crops are coming in, barrels are being rotated in the barrel houses, and the leaves are starting to turn beautiful colors.
As the cool nights start, the oak tightens back up and the whisky is released from the char.
Ooooo!!! You got my attention now.
Hey Santee, i read about the Yukon gold rush in the 1890s, and how sled dogs were in high demand,
Anychance you can do a video on sled dogs in the old west
yes. Good one!
Doing this at Wells Fargo Bank...hmmm...they also have an history of their own in the wild west as well...
Big time.
Modern bank robbery is when you get your credit card bill... LOL!
True
If I had a bank robbing T-Rex, Wells Fargo would go bankrupt
Right???? He loves it. They usually have cookies out for the "clients"
wait that was Tyrone Saurus and Bill in the opening, not Rex and Santee! they got the wrong guy! 🤣
HA!
Armed citizens keeping criminals at bay for over 100 yrs.
Yes!
Could you make a video on famous Gunfighters?
Yes, I will do profiles on them
Arizona Ghostriders sweet!
Appreciate the video to start Saturday. I did have a hard time leaving bank puns alone in this comment though. 👍
Thank you!
I work as an ATM technician and seeing Bill take a shotgun to that machine is something I've oft thought of myself
LOL!!! Yeah, I imagine you would. Thanks!
It looks like banks held the interest of the community. I'll have to give you credit for this video. I vaulted to watch it.
Thanks. I feel safe knowing that.
What the Paranormal Raid🧡🧡🧡 excited to join your channel
Much appreciated.
Any chance we could get a source on the films used? I haven't seen many of them, and they look like good watches.
Last Ride of the Dalton Gang, Apple Dumpling Gang, and the Long Riders
My late sister-in-law once lived in an apartment above the Northfield, MN bank that Jesse James tried to rob.
Wow!
Good story and video Santee, thank you. I bet Rex could crack open a bank safe.
I think so too. Maybe put a steak on the lock...
Another fun and educational video. Thanks for sharing.
JT
You bet
If cowboys had a t rex I bet banks would be the second thing robbed. The first would be a ranch with lots of cattle to feed the lizard.
No doubt. Be easy to track, too. Just look for the big clawprints.
"Unless there was a 'no gun' ordinance, you couldn't be sure who was armed." Actually, even WITH a 'no gun' ordinance you couldn't be sure. The vast majority of those ordinances, with the exception of large cities such as Denver or San Francisco, were in place to disarm drifters, cattle drovers, itinerate gamblers and other strangers who might be potential trouble-makers. Permanent residents of the towns who were known and trusted by the local Sheriff/Marshal could carry firearms without fear of arrest, although they were expected to carry them concealed so as not to create a "But HE'S got a gun!" situation. It was 'selective enforcement' at its finest!
Miners in CA were well known for stashing small arms in their pockets for a night on the town. Never knew who had guns!
@@ArizonaGhostriders Miners in Ca? Hell, I still stash a small gun in my pocket!
Hey Santee,
I said it once and I’ll say it again; I hope you do one on Pemmican, the ultimate survival food of the 1800’s.
Did you know that this food was actually the center of a war? It was known as the Pemmican War, and happened in 1812. It was between the Hudson’s Bay Company and the North West Company, and it only ended when the two companies were forced to merge. Now that’s what I call a food fight!!
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pemmican_War
Yes, I want to do one on Pemmican.
Arizona Ghostriders YAY!
Edit: I will try to be patient.
Good episode Santee! Thanks for dispelling these myths.
Any time!
Hey Santee have you ever seen the movie “Unforgiven”. Just watched it and loved it.
great movie
Back then was banks robbery vs myth, now is we hare rob and is no myth and we can not do danm thing! Thanks for another great vid, see ya amigo.
Thanks Marco!
Nowadays I am holding my breathe in, wondering if someone or something is going to steal your line at the end of every video.
Due to some circumstances, it hasn't really happened lately.
Hey where did the cowboys in the old west get their stylish clothes? Halloween is coming up and I got to put use to this bandolier and drop loop holster.
Old West Walmart. No, seriously, I have a video about that somewhere....
First video I’ve seen of yours. Subscribed 👍🏻
Awesome! Thank you!
I was just wandering, was there any fraud in the west? They would not have credit checks or anything like that or would they? Would it be easy to defraud banks and businesses etc? Your the men to ask. Like I've said I'm from England and we love the wild west west over here. Amazing channel ☮️
Thank you. Well, a little family secret. My GGG Grandfather did something like that. He made his money in the Goldfields of California and embezzled.
It was probably pretty easy, but remember there was the telegraph and people could check up on your "banking history"
@@ArizonaGhostriders thank you for the reply. I like the sound of your family member way back. Thank you again for wonderful channel
Nothing like an Arizona ghost riders bank robbing video to make me wish red dead had a bank robbing mechanic :,) I’m just messing around, great video guys! Thanks for all of the informative videos
I liked robbing the bank in RDR2
Arizona Ghostriders, would y’all be interested in doing a livestream where you play red dead online with viewers? I think that would be something fun and definitely something I’d tune into or maybe even hop online for!
Im brazilian and Love western (i not like Just because read dead 2 are famous) and i Love your vídeos, but have not portuguêse subtitles so i have a few dificult to read, have some way to put other languages subtitles?.
Im sorry for any english error 👍
I will see what I can do.
@@ArizonaGhostriders thanks 👍👍👍👍👍
Great content and your being robbed going to Weld Fargo 😂😂😂😂
Hahaha. Why I took the money!
Where I lived some of Rex's descendants are well known thives and bullies! The damm Seagulls will still the chips (French Fries ) out of you hands. So now we know who started them on the slippery path .
Yes. I lived in Florida and know well the terror of the Seagull.
@@ArizonaGhostriders So there is an Intrnational conspiracy then? My mother decided she would chase the gulls off from around her hen house by squirting them with a hose pipe. The first few dissappeared , then a whole flock reapperd and all stood wings out waiting for a shower.
Don't know if this is a topic worth a video, but my question is: Was army surplus a thing in the Old West? I found an old picture of a family in California and the father seems to be wearing a cavalry cartridge belt with a US buckle on it. Just curious if it was common for civilians to acquire military stuff like that the way we might buy old uniforms, pouches and other tactical gear today.
Yes, it was. Guns especially. Many of the clothing was used at the beginning of the Indian Wars, then later they made more.
@@ArizonaGhostriders thanks!
Possible video topic, how Railroads chose the towns to lay their lines through. I am in my sixties, and from a perspective of being raised in Indiana, it seems pretty obvious that having an interstate highway going through your town versus going by seven miles away from town makes a significant competitive economic advantage or disadvantage. Kind of like Route 66 your way. There must have been a lot of factors, above and below the table, influencing these decisions.
Related to that are the towns that were born because a railroad went through, some of them pretty small... "jerkwater towns".
Good idea
Who'd have thought that we would ever walk into a bank while wearing a mask & tell them that we wanted money?
LOL!
Just Subscribed, This is a great channel that I started to binge watch. Thank you for the content. I see you mentioned the Bisbee Massacre? Is there enough info for you to tell the story. All I really know is Dan Dowd was involved, always wondered if he was a relation of mine.
There is a lot of info. My friend David Grasse wrote a whole book about it!
@@ArizonaGhostriders Thank you I just checked amazon for the book
And so many people love to use the "Wild West" as the ideal example of lawless, reckless, anarchy and "gun violence". Appreciate the videos!
Yes. Appropriate, too.
Awesome intro!!!
Thanks!!
After my grandparents died we found a little over 1.2 million dollars in cash stashed in various places all over the ranch. The fruits of the better part of a century of long days of hard hard work, I reckon. Did I mention that gran'ma and gran'pa didn't trust banks?
WOW!!! That's a helluva find.
@@ArizonaGhostriders Don't know if my parents, aunts and uncles ever calculated the actual value of the cash, since a sizable chunk was in silver, copper and some gold. We do know that close to $400,000 that wasn't well hidden disappeared with tenants renting one of the houses on the ranch. The reason I quit my southern Arizona job and come here to Montana was to live as guard on the property to deter further "prospecting" by unsavory elements.
Nearly been 2 years since Red Dead Redemption 2 came out!!
Wow.
10 years since Redemption 1 and 16 or so years since Red Dead Revolver.
Pretty cool history! Puts us a leg ahead in the info game 😁😁
Wow you stepped into that one.
You used a Wells Fargo in this episode ? An episode on bank robberies ? Are you serious ? Really ? And you didn't bother to point out the Wells Fargo's today are the ones that are pulling the robberies and not the public at large. Unbelievable but loved the episode though and keep up the good work. At least with the pandemic and all , when you walk into a Wells Fargo bank and all the employees are wearing masks at least you got some idea of who you are dealing with. Again great episode.
I employed a literary term called Irony, a literary technique in which what on the surface appears to be the case or to be expected differs radically from what is actually the case.
Go back and watch again!
@@ArizonaGhostriders O.K. Irony I get , by the way do you see the police anywhere , no go stick'um up.
In video games you rob a bank every ten minutes, how much money do they really have
More than when you started.
Great video. I wonder if the robbers got a free gift from the bank. Hmmmm
Yes. A pen and checkbook cover.
What the paranormal Raid bro! I subbed as well!
Gee thanks a bunch!
Seems like you are out of shape Santee 🤣🤣🤣🤣

@@ArizonaGhostriders 🤣🤣🤣🤣
It sure would be a bummer to try and rob the bank, and get shot by the bank teller...
It would be.
Poor Bill. It's tough to keep up with technology when you've been dead for awhile.
At 1:19, a side article in the paper talks about the Montana Vigilantes. Quite a wild bunch in their own right, according to a memoir that I read. Have you considered doing (or have already done) an episode about them?
One day. Every time I see a period newspaper article I see more stuff to cover. Sheesh!
There were store robberies? I look forward to hearing about them.
The one I mentioned in Bisbee is probably the most famous. They goofed up the robbery and shot a bunch of folks including a pregnant lady.
Every one of them was strung up
