You could say the same about Russia. They are more concerned in destroying Ukraine. The EU is concerned about many things, including tackling the current economic issues across the globe, not just about Ukrainian membership. Should they just drop everything and concentrate on one issue? Ukraine was invaded, and the EU want to help them defend themselves, yet they are the pariahs? What about the invaders? Being sanctioned as a first step is preferable to having their cities destroyed like they are doing in Ukraine.

A common currency called BRICS is a good idea. It would be a very good alternative to the Petro-dollar. It would help the BRICS control the tendency of US to do rampant money printing and also give a formidable alternative to the USD. Forex volatility will also decline. All in all a very good idea. There's been talk about BRICS for decades. Heard of it the moment the USSR collapsed but in truth, BRICS is starting to look like a rogue's gallery of tyrants. I have not heard anything good about Brazil, ZA or India. In truth this talk about BRICS is merely Russia trying to cry foul over sanctions and asking the other guys in the room for help. I cannot simply support Russia because Putin has said he wants to do to Ukrainians, what Malaysia's ruling UMNO wants to do to Chinese and Hindus - and that is to "make them disappear".

Those countries governments need to look within themselves and their government to see where change can occur. Do you not get it that people are suffering massively in THESE Brics countries? China committing genocide against Uyghurs! That's ok with you? There is a war going on and the Ukrainian situation is unavoidable. In this juncture, by not following the US NATO war hunger, these countries are supporting Russia, no question about it. The question is, what country in the world support NATO other than the blackmail of the US?

If Russia thought that there were atrocities being committed in Ukraine they should have brought it to the UN, not just attack because of rumors and lies.

However, Brazil is also a country with 25% of its population living under the poverty line, has 15 of the most dangerous cities in all America continent and a high rate of crimes, including drug traffic, kidnapping, slaughter, robbery. India is by far safer than Brazil.
Most of young brazilians have low-level education and money invested in innovation or R&D is less than Canada or Mexico.
Brazil is also an expensive country to live, it is only cheap for Americans or Europeans.
Most of brazilians earn low salaries, only politicians and their families earn good money thanks to the institutionalized corruption.
The worse is the price of medicines and health care. If you ever visit this country, you will be surprised of it. If you have no money, it would be better for you that you are in good health condition.
So Nick Ivanovich, I encourage you to live in Brazil at least 5 years. And also ask people of any other Latin America country if they consider that Brazil is more relevant than USA, Canada or Mexico. For us, they only are relevant in soccer. 🤣
Beyond its borders Brazil is completely irrelevant in America continent and also it is for the rest of the World. Or have you read or heard news about Brazil lending capital or doing huge investments in other countries like China? I don't think so.
