I gave memory planning a good year of my life with your encouragement! But back in November the matriarch of my family passed away and it was everything I could do to finish up December. I haven't been back to memory planning yet, but I still look forward to these videos of yours every month. Thank you for being so encouraging about writing down our stories, because it was such a blessing to look back at the past year and all the memories we shared with mom/grandma. Our stories do matter! Thanks Jamie!
Cannot thank you enough for sharing this. This seems to be to be a certain reality for folks who are memory keepers, but then a death of a significant person occurs, and it can derail any of that. For while anyhow. I hear it time and again. You are not alone in that. My hope for you is that you may give yourself grace during this time, and not rush it. You will just simply know when you are ready to go at it again. Thank you for being here. And for watching. Hope your day finds blessings.
Wow, lots more tips and tricks! The STB pages are beautiful! Love the quotes, currently…, and all the colors🙂. I need to remember that not everything has to be documented exactly. A quick note or list works too!! Plus the storage hack! While I don’t do dies, the stadium organizer has so many good organizing options! As always, your thoughts and ideas are so helpful! TFS. Newsletter, awesome!! All signed up, thank you.😏❤
'Not everything has to be documented exactly'. Always look forward to your take aways. Think that is why I call this a 'catalog' of memories. Other albums hold the bigger stories I want to give more time to. Thank you as always, Robin.
So beautiful, Jamie. I'm two months behind in my memory planning - but am hoping after next week when company leaves I can get going again on all the makes!! Thanks for the organizing tip for the dies. I have one of those stadium organizers that doesn't have anything in it - and now it will 😊. Great tip.
Oh well that is yay for you! You can get right on getting and finding those dies. Seriously. I was getting a bit overwhelmed. It made all the difference. Not done yet. Don't ya just love a little of organization in your life.
I use register magnet covers for dies that coordinate with stamps. I can cut the magnet to size and store the dies on the backside of the coordinating Stamp package. The magnet covers are inexpensive and can be found in any big box store.
Yep! For sure. I have used those too. I do not always find those easy to procure. There are so many options and ways to make these hacks work. Thank you so much for your thoughts.
I look forward to seeing your monthly walk through and appreciate you sharing your planner with us. Your storage idea is wonderful but would like to know how you get your dies separated. I’m having a hard time getting some of mine detached.
Oh...yes....to the die separation dilemma. And I even have a video on that but have not got it out there yet. I use Hero Arts Metal Snippers (not currently available) shrsl.com/4jf7t ). I turn the die so that I am cutting down on the attached metal, instead of on the flat part. Not sure that makes sense, which is why I made a video. That has gone a long way in making good cuts. Let me know if you have questions on that.
I love this Jamie! Every time I watch your videos I want to join Stop the Blur, but I have SO many stamps & dies that I have yet to use. I don’t want to continue to just collect stuff. I still haven't had time to break out the supplies for Heidi’s Halloween classes, as well as the stamps & die set, or the more recent Birthday class supplies, stamps & dies...I do have plans to use both those collections though. EDITED: I signed up for your Beginner Basics | Memory Planner class in hopes of getting over the hurdle of feeling lost, which answers my question (now deleted). I generally buy the stuff because I see it being used and I think, "I can do this, or that", but by the time it arrives I've forgotten what I wanted to do, or I don't have the time to do anything, so I put it aside (or away) and never get back to it.
I think you have outlined a common dilemma. All the stuff looks really good. But you have great stash already too. I do try and encourage using what you have. Then there is the breaking out of the hoard mind set too (me anyway). But it's so much prettier on the page than in the package. I hope you can take the Memory Planner Class and just take it one thing at a time. It's a basics class for a reason. Take a lesson, and schedule time for that lesson. And do some days or even a page. You can do it! I believe in you!!!
@@JamiePate THANK YOU!! I am going to make myself a sign to post in my scrap room, "It's so much prettier on the page than in the package". I love that and believe it will help with my hoard mind set, which I definitely have. Have a wonderful day!
Hey, Cindy! Yes I do. The link is giving me issues. I will have that up later today. Sorry for the inconvenience. I will let you know when it's available. Thank you.
Oh...wow...I forgot that link! I am so sorry. They are currently out of stock. You can click 'notify me' to know as soon as they are back in stock. I know I will do so, as I would like more to continue to organize these dies. Thank you!
