Yeah I'm not a good HOI 4 player. Barely understand the game. So the first faction I chose was the Valle Raiders in Baja so I could be safely tucked away in a corner peninsula to figure the mod out. I managed to defeat the other raiders north of me and become the Baja raiders. I called it good for the night, went to bed, woke up, and the mod had been updated and bricked my save lmao. So now I'm playing as the Robot City Doki Doki AI xD And man, I thought I was done for when the Maxson brotherhood attacked me, but I survived. Definitely thought I was dead when the Hangdogs attacked me, but now I'm pushing them to their capital. At this rate, I'll be able to take out the irons and the scorpions before Lanius takes the Twin Mothers, and then I'll be ready to fuckin SCRAP! Lol
@@odg1190 i don't even know what plans are lol. I play the same way, and I dont trust plans because I both don't know how to do them, and don't know how to react if things go wrong xD
Pretty good video but I'd like to point out 2 things. First is the followers mechanics which can be sometimes incredibly useful with research bonus in some cases and you can use conventional warfare for infantry as well if a state has civilised or sophisticated tech for infantry
If you have any way of getting in touch with the devs behind this mod, suggest for the East Coast factions in homage to the show “Revolution”, factions being “Federation of Georgia” out of Atlanta and “Monroe Republic” out of Philadelphia
What's the best way to learn to play the game, not just the modded bits? I tried out this mod, but since I didn't know the first thing about HoI4 I sucked at the game. I'm wanting to get back into it though since I love the lore I've read on the game, yet I'm still intimidated by the fact that I probably can't manage a functional civilization through multiple wars.
Hi, I just got into HOI recently and fell in love with this mod. Your tutorial is very useful! I was using combat widths wrong D: I know you said that stims and recon are good support divisions but from what I know, recon is pretty useless (at least in vanilla), so what would the benefit be in running recon in OWB? I also wonder about the other support divisions. I'm never sure what's really best so I end up running stims, demolitions, and fireteams for support divisions. I never run logistics as supply never seems to be an issue in this mod. I also LOVE the idea of running dogs, but whenever I do, I do not feel ANY impact from them
Divisions are really mix and match for what you want, same with support teams. The important think to remember is that every support division you add reduced the dive organixation, meaning it will break faster. Recon is a very miss understood thing. Reconnaissance gives your commanders to choose tactics after the opponent. Definsively this is huge as it means you choose tactics that explicitly counter the enemies attacking tactic. This gets very complex but the simple way to say it is that a good attack tactic not countered will really hurt you, so it can be the difference between breaking and holding to have recon.
Personally I like to run fire and demolition teams as part of the main division template and that frees up the ability to add anti tank, logistics, recon, maintenance, and Chem company's in the support roles. Giving my divisions, I feel, the best outcome for attack and defense.
The ncr is reallyy strong. Lost hills has a tree to unite the other brotherhood factions. If you prepare and make lots of power armor divisions its doable
@@specrtre lore wise, the brotherhood lost to the NCR specifically because the NCR had near limitless bodies to throw at them. One thing I've come to learn is that in this Game, unless you're a veteran player, you never wanna punch above your weight class.
