Yea we used to do that in the 90’s but find that it can damage or bend the bottom of the blade pack on today’s cheap dampers. Still a cracking idea though!

I use a scissor jack with a 1/4” socket welded to it. And use a drill to raise it back up. Smaller starting profile then this.

Exactly, when your access door only allows you to get one arm in, a scissor jack and a piece of 2-by-4 work wonders.
