Today I left home early to fish the incoming high tide down West Sussex in the hopes of a sting ray!
Armed with 1.5lb of ragworm, I used some large and juicy baits to try and entice a local sting ray as rumours were that some big ones were landed down here!
Unfortunately we didn’t manage to catch one in this episode but I am making it my goal to try and catch an elusive sting ray this year and hopefully it will be a double figure!!

Are there place or flounders at that beach, maybe drop down a hook size or two and see what happens.

There probably would be plaice here as well as bream but I was there for the stingers all day so didn’t want to down size hooks or baits! It seemed my baits were being taken by spider crabs all day though as I didn’t see a single bite at all!
I'll never get those 15 minutes back
Thanks for the support & watching 👍 The video cost me £22.50 in bait, £10 in fuel & was recorded over 5 hours. I rarely upload videos of not catching a fish but I can’t waste expensive content like this.
The method for catching sting rays & the area for catching sting rays was shown but unfortunately I didn’t catch one.
I will be back to try and catch one soon.

But I just spent 15 minutes watching helpful advice to target Stingers in the UK while the lad was giving it a try.
