I dont know the actual meaning of this song, but it reminds me of how i used to constantly be consuming upsetting media. For some reason i felt i needed to be up to date on everything happening in the world had to witness every horrible event in the news, all for the sake of "knowing the truth". But really it was just extremely self destructive. No one person is supposed to experience all that horrible drama. The world is on fire, and everything is going to shit, i already know that, its everywhere in the news, i didnt need to know more because its right there in my face, i already know everything is bad, consuming more of this upsetting content does nothing but hurt me at this point, yet i kept digging, kept going fown the rabbit hole. It got to the point where it was seriously affecting my mental health, and eventually i had to learn to watch what media i consumed, and be careful not to consume too much upsetting stuff. So, uh, yeah, this is a PSA: its not your responsibility to know everything thats going on in the world, its okay to take a step back and really consider if what media youre consuming is good for your mental health or not and act accordingly. Stay safe out there. Prioritize your mental health in these depressing times
