  • Why did Eastpointe's police department hire an officer that Detroit was preparing to fire? Kairy Roberts was deemed "untruthful" by DPD, but he was still given a badge in Eastpointe.

I'd argue that it's used consistently to defend black people when they aren't complying with officers during George Floyd scenarios. The, "Sure he shouldn't have resisted arrest and/or complied with the officers, but that use of force was excessive" defense has already been applied to this video. The crowd of people wouldn't leave when officers told them to and instead they chose to fight against the officers. When cops got more aggressive, then they call foul. It wouldn't have gotten to that point if they just left when asked. Literally, everyone made mistakes in this situation, including the cop that punched the guy.

Assault on a police officer is a worse charge then assault on another person wait isn't a cop another person? Obviously not to them. The cops are such spoiled little cry baby brats that have to get their way for a job they do wrong. There's nothing in their policy that says just punching someone for no reason is part of the job. When in fact it's against the oath they took when sworn in as law enforcement. If ur law enforcement u lead by example u show everyone what the rules are to follow by ur actions and if u can't do that then ur a failure. If all else fails in life becomes a cop. A life size full grown adult tattle tale who never takes responsibility their own actions. The label needs to change as well enforcement has the word force in it not good that right there is the problem since it describes action in their job they represent. Any other terms to call them would require them to be attorneys and actually know the law since none of them actually know the law besides a few basic things. But theyll tell u ignorance of the law is no excuse but they'll arrest u cuz they feel like it then u have to work it out in court and nothing happens to them for doing their job wrong. Maybe people should start protesting Infront of the cops house on the sidewalk peacefully? Maybe the cop needs to learn his lesson another way the problem is finding people to teach those lessons whatever they maybe. Cuz they obviously don't learn them from their own job correcting their actions. Their actions should be treated no different then anyone else's. No one's job excuses them. People that have fake power over them protecting them from their wrong doing are weak minded whimps who have been brainwashed into believing that everyone's against them. Well ya everyone's against when u act like POS all the time then ur arresting others for acting the same way u do. Stupid a$$ cops

It is the officers sworn duty to take posession of a vehicle reported stolen. They were actually nice as he could have been arrested for receiving or posessing stolen property. The police had no choice but to take the car, even if legally bought ( which police believed him). Also, the Dealer should not have had to pay them anything if they followed the law and did all the things neccessay for them to sell it. The State is the one that should have paid him because when you look at it, the State said that the dealer could sell the car. The state is the only one at fault for not having the proper proceedures that a dealer must follow to aquire and sell the car. 100% States fault, good job from police for not arresting hime and verifying he did buy from dealer.. They could have arrested him and told him to take it up with the Judge.
Wells Fargo and Chase are really good at investigating and reimbursing people. The usually automatically credit your bank account or card while they investigate.

@@TRUMPUSA1 Yes over 80% or 90% of all cops are evil!
I will say not that high of a percentage is physically doing the assaults and making the false reports on the public.
The percentages are something like 40% of cops are crooked and 60% are good and enforce the law like they should. Only if it was that simple but it's not. Think about it though out of that 60% at least 45 or 50% know about the bad cops to at least some degree but don't hold them accountable or investigate anything to make sure everything is on the up-and-up. That cuts the 60% of good cops quick down to 10 or 20% of all cops are decent

As part of the lawsuits, pull their certification and ban them from ever getting certified again. Don't let them resign so they can get hired at another precinct and do it all over again. STOP THE INSANITY!!!

That’s good but the problem is certain people won’t press charges sadly but I agree only thing is they can go to another state and recertify but also there needs to be more people who want to be cops someone said that police should have their own insurance like doctors so it’ll deter them from doing sh*t like this which I agree wholeheartedly and this is coming from someone going into law enforcement

The problem is the police unions.
If they decide to fight a dismissal it could take years to be resolved, meanwhile said cop ia receiving taxpayers money whilst suspended.
Or they can let him resign and the whole thing goes away.

So...what you are saying is that when a Brother gets arrested he should stay in jail for ever? Sounds like that is what your saying. People mess up and they should be given another chance. Yes? Or put the niggas away after the first crime? Can't have it both ways!

Eastpointe PD must have bought Roberts at a clearance sale, and spent the rest of the budgeted money on pizza and beer.

Prime example of why there needs to be a National Brady List, where complaints, lawsuits, etc. against an officer fallows them wherever they go, so departments get ALL records and documents to make a decision on who to hire. This happens everyday, cops will resign, versus waiting to be fired, so they can join a PD down the road, and their background and internal files don’t follow, so the new PD has no clue what that officers history is like.
