This was exactly my relationship with my first girlfriend. As a young girl when I came out (thirteen) my friends didn’t mind but my family was very angry and refused to acknowledge my sexuality for years. My friend was actually "disowned" and kicked out from her parents house "never to come back again" a while ago, after she got married to her now-wife abroad (it's still illegal in our country. I give it few more years). For anybody worried: she is fine. She and her wife have lots of supportive friends, including her brother who was with us at the wedding, and every person I tell this story to is really perplexed by her parents behavior, so the situation here isn't as bad as in some countries. But I still find it sad that this kind of thinking still exists. Or that it ever existed.

It simply depends on the gender the enby leans towards more, so if they preferred to lean towards femininity (like me) and liked girls (like me) that would be considers lesbian. These are just terms used when the enby doesn’t prefer the terms toric or trixic, and I’ve heard in the mlm and wlw flags the white is there to symbolize enbies.

Vise versa, a masculine female isn’t a male, they’re still just as much as a girl as they were before. Being nonbinary has to do with the feeling of what you are and what you aren’t. The way of representing yourself and your pronouns have nothing to do with gender.

i've always thought many taylor swift's songs portrayed love in a way that made it so easily to understand it as queer. sometimes you don't even have to switch the lyrics (like 'ours') but for sure when the lyrics *are* rewritten to be explicitly gay, it is even more beautiful 🥺 thank you for this cover!
