Because of the v cut outs on the outsole on both the medial and lateral sides, sole separation is a concern for me. I've noticed a couple of overseas reviews of the AJ38 having sole separation issues in that area. Did you notice any sole separation in that area while weartesting these?
Mine separated after playing in them 3 times. I love everything else about the shoe tho.
I pulled at mine and yeah they separated on both sides. I’m pinning this comment for awareness. Maybe it's my fault since I pulled at it.. but regardless it has to be a defect or durability issue since it shouldn't happen.

Mine seperated after 1 single full court game. I think it's due to the design unfortunately. Took mine back to the Nike store. Exchanged for the GT Jump 2. It's so unfortunate as I really like the look of the shoe also the cushioning felt great.
One of the most comfortable hoop shoes i’ve ever worn. However had to send mine back to nike for a refund. After 2-3 hoop sessions the rubber was peeling and ripping off completely. I hope they do a recall or a re release because this is a huge problem for a TON of people.

Great review DG! Just want to add that although it may feel heavier, likely due to the way weight is distributed as a higher cut, I have both the 38 and the Bron 20 and the Bron is 10g heavier than the 38 in a US size 12.5.

Btw, were you able to cop the Sab 1 custom today? I was on Nike customizing and missed the deadline to checkout within an hr because I was aiming for GSW and Oregon Ducks colorways in particular as homage lol
I like the performance of the 34s, but I do like the looks of these a little better. Can’t wait to test out these 38s!
Forgot to mention this is a great shoe to get on sale, but you have to wait a long time for that. $200 is expensive.

Coming from playing in the GT Jump for 2 years straight, the AJ38 feels lighter. And I only play in high tops as well.

Pull the insole out and put the pair insoles you are going to use inside i do that with all my shoes and all the original insoles that belong with that pair of shoes are all new

They’re both different shoes so it depends on personal preference that day
Good thought of design poor implementation on material use. Midsole are too soft, lack of energy return from the ground not the best court feel. Good cushion but not design for guard, more for light weight 4 and 5 players

I don't think I can answer that accurately because I don't experience either or those. Knee pains, maybe because cushion is great IMO.

KD16 feels lower to the ground but I prefer these in almost every way besides weight which I talked about

Hows the weight compared to the Harden vol 7?
I don't have a scale so I don't know the objective weights. However they were lowkey comparable to me for weight. Harden is more of a low though.

WOW10 more people will like. Two different shoes. Jordan 38 is heavier and has more plush cushion. WOW10 is lighter and more minimal. Both great tractions but WOW10 on dust was slightly better.

Feels like a suped up kyrie Infinity.. more plush more cushioning.. so it passes in comfortably and true to size for 2E wide feet unlike kyrie 1 full size up and lebron .5 up
Like the look of J34 but it was tight not true to size. Plastic
Like 36 bouncey but .5 up and silly design pertruding bottom but my favorite since 34
37.. zero plush feeling around ankles true to size... if gping up .5 in size the ankle case will dig into under ankle bone. Remedy heel arch support lifts heel above the ankle case digging into bone
Like the bounce but can roll ankle not stable
38 feels comfortable plush but aesthetically does not look like a 200.00 shoe... but it will depend on more colorways... not feeling 1st drop color at all... pass. Don't really like the looking down view.. tongue pattern is ugly under laces.. overall the shoe is a pass but a delay sale buy
