RIP Jeremy. I never met him but he seemed very loved by everyone in the drum community. It's a shame the world has been robbed of a remarkable human being as well as the company he worked so hard to build.
My God. The power and finesse in Ilan's playing is incredible. Also this snare is phenomenal. Possibly the best recording of a snare drum I've ever heard.
I absolutely love my Q kit and the gentleman's series didn't disappoint either! This drum can totally be used in numerous situations. It was the perfect companion to my Q copper drum kit. I look forward to going into the studio next month. Amazing work guys!
That is one sweet sounding snare. I'm actually surprised to hear its $900. I was expecting an astronomical price tag considering the craftsmanship that goes into this. I will have one soon.
I have a Q kit, mahogany 24/13/16/18. Best sounding kit I ever owned. this snare sounds great and I'm sure it's top quality all around. Jeremy and the Q co. us awesome. I have a black beauty and a supra to play with the Q's, so I'm good for now. Sweet snare though, love to play one.
Jesus does that snare sound great. And I saw down in the comments it's around $900? Reasonable for something of this quality. I've been eyeing up a DW top edge. I'm putting this snare on my short list of dates to consider to upgrade from my tama custom artwood. This Q snare truly sounds fantastic.
Two very different snare drums. The brass plate is closer in sound to a bell brass. They are very loud, very heavy and extremely sensitive. The copper is a more well rounded snare drum for the player that needs a "do everything" snare drum
How deep is that Kick? it looks like a 18", normally with bigger kicks you go for like a 16" or a 14", but still sounds incredible. Dream is to own pretty much Ilan's drum kit he played with Paramore. Keep it up guys, love the work.
You can purchase these directly through our website for $899 which includes shipping in the continental USA. If you live outside of the states, contact us for shipping quotes. Email is info@qdrumco.com.
Rimshots not well played, You have to correct this kind of things for Your bussiness, video, etc, that thing are important to a bussiness, to the marketing, etc. Also You have to eliminate this video because that snare You don't produce anymore, of your web too You have to eliminate it of You don't have stock anymore.
Rip Jeremy, thanks ❤

Beautifully done. The snare, the cinematography & the playing. Bravo!

Unbelievable, isn't it?
As a media studio (and a professional musician), this is a really well made documentary - and the color grade is great. Hats off to Ed Davis!
I cannot believe how stunning this snare sounds and looks.
Cool approach to the legacy , fabulous craftsmanship , Great people . that copper snare is amazing !!!!

Very nice work l want a full kit
Ok, really cool detail I just caught: At 6:19 you see the Q Badge go on; # 957. My Q kit is a 20/12/14 with Badge numbers 958, 959, 960. Wild.
Great sound! Full, crispy and with overtones. What are the materials of the kick drum used in the video (also a great sounding piece)

That feeling when a testing part is most interesting than a building part)))
I want one, what a great company. Cheers!
you guys have come such a long way from OCDP. I will buy one of thee someday
You left the key to rattle on the recording??
Is this Magnificent Gentlemen's Copper Snare Drum available? Thanks for the great video!
Amzaing snare! BTW; I'm interested in dat bass drum. Size and series please!
The bass drum is 16X24 Mahogany/poplar/mahogany with maple re-rings. Definitely one of our favorites!
I would pay a lot of money for some samples of this snare. 4:44 sounds amazing. Jesus. What tuning? Any Processing?
I want one!
Damn that thing sounds good.
Sorry to get off topic from that beautiful snare, but I had a nerdy question. What was used for the inside mic on the kick?
+Mark Sampson SHURE BETA 52 - NEVE 1073
They put all hardware studio info on the description. :)
Who makes the shells?
Great snare.
Looks superb! Reminds me of the legend 14x8 Copperphonic that Ludwig released. Best metal snare drum in my humble opinion.
see this snare actually sound good. Great really
Any plans for a 13x7 Gentlemen's Copper? That would be a most lovely, sexy and dark snare drum. Ah well, one can dream.
Unfortunately, not in the near future. The requests for 13" snare drums is really small. However, you may see a shallower version of this drum.
How does this compare to the q brass plate drums in sound ?
Two very different snare drums. The brass plate is closer in sound to a bell brass. They are very loud, very heavy and extremely sensitive. The copper is a more well rounded snare drum for the player that needs a "do everything" snare drum
Qdrumco awesome I own the brass plate snare
Do they come polished??
Right on!
hmm how much is cost to buy one
bout 900 bux and it's sold out from what I hear
@@kevind2409 not bad
Im speechless.
One thing not to be overlooked is that tuning. I know 100 people who could get this for Christmas and not tune it right.
Holy shit that’s a killer sound. Perfect amount of crack and ring.
Dios yo sueño con tener un snare asi algún día ...
It comes with Die Cast?
How deep is that Kick? it looks like a 18", normally with bigger kicks you go for like a 16" or a 14", but still sounds incredible. Dream is to own pretty much Ilan's drum kit he played with Paramore. Keep it up guys, love the work.
This bass drum is actually 16X24. You are right by saying we like to stick to the shallower bass drums. It makes all the difference in the world!
Thats pretty cool, I have a 24x16 myself, wouldn't change it for anything, with what I play. One day i'll have a Q, one day.
Is that Bass Drum Mahogany/poplar?
Left handed drummers will dominate
Ilans not left handed just plays open handed with left hand on high hat
@@xibbit6322 I’m the same except the dominating part
Classy!
sounds fucking awesome
Someone needs to make a cast copper snare
Nice
Whats $$$?
