Class!
You are carrying the torch for fusion these days! Your playing is soulful yet brilliant and complex. And your band is great here as well.
Incredibly harmonious and superflowing esthetics!
Magnificent as usual. If brilliance and beauty could ever become tiresome, I'm going to sleep. Josh's dynamics are near perfection. Listening to his time, cadence, phrasing, tone and volume modulation inspire indescribable joy
love it absolutely, and didn't even realised when 'ultravoilent' started after it, the transition was so gentle!!
This reminds me of Sheik's theme from Ocarina of Time so much... such a beautiful song, both!
Cant believe im the first to comment on how GOOD THAT KIT SOUNDS. Great engineering
4:02 - Very nice change up.
As long as there are musicians of this caliber, music can hope to continue to exist... add an extra value to the art of music with your wonderful compositions and as much in what you express in live sessions.. I love you guys, maximum respect.. peace... 🙂🙃😉/🎼🎵✨🎶☮️🤍🎻🪇🎙️🪘🎹🪈🎺🎷🪕🎸🪗🥁🌈🤍🎵✨🎶/👍✌🏽👌🏼👋🏿
To me, it just an immediat "like" right at beginning of the video, You are fantastic guys, just keep on the perfect work you're attending to 👊👏👏👏
Nice composing here, like a hybrid of Metheny and Holdsworth and surprises, rhythmic variations, great stuff
I was just listening to Al Dimeola's new album "Twenty Four", there is some great playing on it.
Check out this song "Esmeralda" on it, has some nice counterpoint with and overdubbed 2nd guitar.
I would like to hear Josh do something like that, take it further, do an arrangement for 4 or more guitars
Beautiful. Thanks Josh!
Been waiting for this to drop on spotify for months. So exquisite!
so smooth and liquidy, gorgeous syncopations and rhythm with fantastic voicings all round. loved it!
Masterpiece! I love the clean tone too
Надо им в группу взять бассиста и будет конфетка!!!
My favorite guitarist these days
Great stuff on many levels. A new direction, expanding on and not abandoning nor being subservient to tradition. Checked all of my boxes.
GOAT 🐐
I only expect yet another masterpiece!
Love this track, one of my favs from you guys
@Josh - Will you be exploring 7 string jazz compositions in the future? Maybe add some brass too?

ima keep it 100, this is a great rendition. however, the earlier released track with the inspo vocals in the background and the more lofi grit was honestly my favorite. still amazing though
🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞
Nice.
The level of expression and dynamics is mind-blowing - I feel like I'm listening to a Prog Pat Metheny turned to 11
- thank you so much for this music!
First listen ✔️
Other 9999 to go...
Hope you form something with a bass player one day.
d-!-b 👽🍄🇨🇴✌🏼
gg
pat metheny, Schofield vibes
7/4 and 4/4?
Orchestrion. It's reminds me a little bit on pat Metheny this piece of music that just my opinion.
guitar lesson pls
Low the music. Some of the camera work and editing makes me sea-sick.
Joshua - I'm a big fan of you playing and mastery of the instrument, but you got to work on your emotional side of playing, maybe slow down a little, maybe bend a few notes, you seem to have the ability to go the Allan Holdsworth path, but lack the depth of this thoughts, maybe even bring in some distorted riffing, maybe some slower playing - I'm not exactly able to put into words what I want to say - but I hope you get the point I'm trying to make ----- take in the best from "Seasons" from Jeff Beck to "Right now" from Van Halen to "Far beyond the Sun" from Malmsteen to "16 men of Tain" from Allan Holdworth, if there is any one that can do it - it's you. My best wishes for all your future endeavors.
It's a better comparison to compare with Pat Metheny's music (but with busier funkier drums). The song starts somewhat Pat Metheny-like style later it gets a little darker as if spiced with Holdsworth and there are some rhythmic and other elements that are different from either and certainly departs from the semi-Metheny style
My critique of this song is that it sounds like three songs strung together. I like the mood changes but would rather they happen at shorter intervals. You are asking for a certain emotional feel you like but assume he has that particular emotional feel on his personality. He may not. Or he may not have had certain experiences that evoke that. I agree though that he relies on speed too much. He can play anything in the world that is fast but it would be a challenge for him to write a medium slow tune where no double time riffs were allowed. But the first song you mention wanting him to play like Right Now by Jeff Beck is a hard rock tune with very heavy simple distorted chord. It is completely not in Josh Meader's style.
I think Meader has plenty of elements to set him apart from Metheny and his fingering is different.
But lately Metheny has been an influence.
I would say if you don't like Pat Metheny's music you are not going to like Josh Meader.
You mentioned Jeff Beck, Van Halen and Malmsteen.
Josh might cover their music to achieve technical goals but he is largely a jazz player with some fusion elements and it is better to interpret what he is about from a Jazz perspective,
comparisons to guitarists like Pat Metheny, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Adam Rogers, Jonathan Kreisberg, Mike Moreno, Matteo Mancuso.
@@sat1241 Good points buddy, I think Josh has huge potential and is capable of much more than what he's playing currently - in all the recent guitarist I have come across, he comes across as the one with the most potential, I just feel, there is some emotional connect missing, maybe I'm being a little too critical, but I mean no bad, and I wish him very well, I want him to reach greater heights.
yea, i don`t think they need crowd funding for ideas for a better hair drier.
This kind of goes nowhere for 5 whole minutes, I was waiting the whole time for something interesting to happen melodically or harmonically. The song just floats by.
@@groa4 That's my point too - finally someone gets me, but Joshua has massive potential.
