SCP-055 is a "self-keeping secret" or "anti-meme". Information about SCP-055's physical appearance as well as its nature, behavior, and origins is self-classifying. To clarify:
How Site 19 originally acquired SCP-055 is unknown.
When SCP-055 was obtained, and by whom, is unknown.
SCP-055's physical appearance is unknown.
Who authorized the construction of SCP-055's containment room, why it was constructed in this way, or what the purpose of the described Containment Procedures may be, are all unknown.
SCP-055 may present a major physical threat and indeed may have killed many hundreds of personnel, and we would not know it. Certainly it presents a gigantic memetic/mental threat, hence its Keter classification.

I'm a little alarmed that, of the list of "things it isn't," only the fact that it's not a sphere has been recorded. That leaves an awful lot of possibilities!

Proposed Neutralization Method: Following several failed neutralization attempts by the Antimemetics Division, an attempt to capture a total description of SCP-055 through the use of finite partitions of descriptive space was initiated. The initial coding schema assigned subsets of the continuum of prime numbers to descriptive tags, thus defining a set of descriptive composite numbers. After preliminary experiments, it was discovered that SCP-055 was 35, and thus had the attributes of [DATA LOST] per the schema. The Foundation proceeded to full description, ultimately resulting in a 289,672,521 digit recursively encoded composite number which described SCP-055 perfectly. Upon factorization, this number absorbed SCP-055's anomalous properties. Inductive proofs written during the encoding process led to the rapid propagation of this effect, and [DATA LOST]

Its impossible to say which pronunciation that doctor preferred about his name: the hebrew one or how english speakers would say it. If he worked at an american site i doubt that he cared. Just like my name, no english speaker is able to pronounce it the right way so i would be like: "Okay, just call me Eli, its easier.". 🤔

Sounds a lot like the superhumans in Algis Budrys's stories like "Nobody Bothers Gus". They could demonstrate their skills to humans, but those humans either dismissed it as a trick or simply forgot it happened, even if the information about the feat was in a written record. It was theorised by some of the superbeings that is was a protective measure . . . If humans didn't remember the beings were superior, they wouldn't fear and then attack them.

One way that you could start to study it is write "It's dangerous to remember SCP-055" If that's not deleted it should be safe. Then you get some personnel that have been exposed to 055 and have them take class X or Y Mnestics. If I remember correctly, Class Z is not safe XD

If we say it is not an irregular solid can we deduce it is a regular solid? If so, can we know it's shape if we know the 6 solids it is not?

if its only the mental note of its details that fades and not the actual physical evidence, couldnt some form of AI or algorithm be made to log and observe and test it, or atleast encode information about it in a way that it allowed people to retain the information. maybe present everything as a a lie in order to make every statement about the object false therefore it would not fade. say for example the object is a red square. the system could observe that and then present the information as “it is not a red square” or perhaps if presented out of context as well as encoded, it could be logged, understood, and observed by the human mind knowingly, but without the understanding of its anti memetic properties. another solution could be a computer algorithm that simply repeats logged information in such a way that its constantly presented as new information and therefore never fades

My reason for creating the Foundation and what it contains, at first, was discovery. To discover what we could do if we bent reality. To see if we could improve lives. Now, of course, it’s a different story for the others. Some of them are in it for personal gain, some for more of that discovery we yearned after in the beginning, even more for a chance to create the impossible. However, even that does not explain my reasoning.
The thing is, after bending the laws of physics so many times, I got used to playing god. Now, I get to be one. I get to manipulate reality from behind the scenes. I classified myself Keter, to see how you’d react to the idea of something potentially world ending completely fading from memory. I edited myself into the official document on how we started, although you won’t remember my name being there. I have told everyone that I’m not circular, and that’s the only thing you remember about me anymore. While the number of SCPs I have created is quite small, the number of ideas I gave birth to is tremendous.
I started manipulating people too. I started discussing, with high-ranking researchers that I’d told to come in to my room, what else they could do with SCPs. How they could worship machines, make art, mass market them for profit or just destroy them. When they left, they forgot about me, but they remembered the ideas. They assumed that the ideas were theirs, and so they saw them out. It was almost like brainwashing. It gave me more power, power that I’ve lusted after since the beginning of the Foundation. I’m controlling all of these people, even you. You see, after reading this letter, you’ll rush off and go to tell someone. Along the way, you’ll drop the letter, and forget where it is you’re going. You could be the first person to read it, you could be the hundredth, it doesn’t matter. After this, you go back to being nothing but a pitiful, powerless pawn, created for the sole purpose of testing my control.
Everything that the Foundation, and any of the other groups, has done is down to me and me alone. Sometimes I come up with ideas, and tell other researchers. Sometimes I create them and put them in containment. I organise outbreaks to test the might of my creations. Every idea, every thought you have ever had in your measly, unimportant waste of a life is either known or made by me and me alone.
I know that you consider me evil, or unjust, or corrupt. I know you believe that this is unacceptable and a gross misuse of power. The truth is, mortal gods do not adhere to the same restrictive moral code as you insignificant insects.
