I absolutely love that Patterson set. It’s so so good.
The German releases have English language options in the menu screens, sometimes it's a little awkward to change the language, but most of them do. I only know because the only way I've been able to get certain films on Bluray, before I got my region free player, is through German imports, because they only got maybe a DVD release over here in the UK.
Only exception: Movies that don't have english as their original language.

Yeah it sucks that foreign language films don't come with English subtitles. Forgot to mention that. I never buy foreign language films from Germany. I don't buy German imports at all now I have my region free player, only buy UK and US releases now.
The funny part of seeing Rambo 2 in bluray and especially 4k is that you can see one of the POW's holding a fire extinguisher device on the helicopter to make it look like it is damaged and burning.
Appreciate you sharing the moment - I’m getting used to opening ALL my collection as I’m ripping my Blu-ray’s and 4k’s to my own Plex media server so I can “take my collection with me” and watch it anywhere…obviously only physically while at home 👍🏼
As you say though, I’m never looking to sell anything but I just get so much at once sometimes that it takes so long to get to, but it does sting a little bit knowing you “devalue” a OOP special edition by “pulling the cellophane of…” like driving a brand new car off the lot 😂

My oldest dvds are Gorilla at Large/ Mystery at Monster Island MGM dvd double feature from 2007.

The UK Warner bros 4k set of Citizen Kane is the one to go for it’s packed with goodies. it only has the Criterion release on 4k in the US
I have that Target Wonder Woman digibook.I have all the DC Digibooks they did minus The Dark Knight Rises. The last one they did was Aquaman..I miss those Digibooks.Target also did somne Digi book type stuff for FOX films which I have too. I have those Target Avengers releases as well. I have all they did of those MCU films. that started with Thor: Ragnarok. Sony also did something like that too for Spider-Man Homecoming which I also have. They did these type of releases for the Star Wars Episode 8-9 and the two anthology films which I went for as well. I went for these releases over the steelbooks back then.I shifted to more steelbooks once these were no longer being done.
I do hav some collector editions. But what i do is i'll buy the special version first then around BF i'll get the same movie but at a cheaper price..AWEsome!!!

Ken, I watched the remake of “Road House” tonight. While it’s not Oscar-worthy material and Gyllenhaal could never capture the charisma of Swayze, I thought this remake captured the spirit and essence of the original. It goes a bit over the top near the end but overall I found it to be a fun movie. It captured the bar fights, music, and ass-kicking of the original. I thought it was a lot more fun than “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire” which I watched Thursday night. Down the line, it deserves its own Vinegar Syndrome 4K VSU to sit right next to the original. Did I think it was as good or better than the original? No, but it was a worthy remake and I enjoyed the Florida Keys setting. Let’s face it, as a VS VSU it would still be light years better than effing “Navy Seals”.
I wish I felt the way you did Porta, but I thought the new Roadhouse was the worst movie I've seen in a long time. Felt like Dollar Tree bargain bin material and this coming from a big Jake Gyllenhaal fan. I absolutely hated it, but glad you found enjoyment in it.
Do you know about Anolis Entertainment from Germany, the Qatarmass xperiment 1955 in letterbox wide-screen is one such release.
I used to have a really neat edition of Batman Begins on DVD from Best Buy when it first came out. It had a slipcase with a lenticular cover that was just so cool. I eventually sold it when it was released on Blu Ray. Anyway, your video inspired me to run over to ebay and pick it up again....

I have 2 Plain Archive releases. Blue Valentine and I Saw the Devil steelbook. Amazing stuff

mediabooks are the best. Yeah I like them more than BOXSETS. I really don't understand how they're not more popular among physical media collectors. You get the best cover art possible and you get reading material that you can't even read unless you speak German but who cares because PICTURES. Sure they're region B and a lot of them lack English subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing, but who cares when they look so awesome? I hear some people complain about how they're DVD case size in comparison. That doesn't bother me because the cover art is top notch. So yeah I guess it's just all about the covert art lmao I have been getting and replacing all of my favorite movies in mediabook form. They are just the coolest.

Anyone else getting scratched 4k discs that skip/freeze recently? My Aliens 4K finally showed up and the 4k disc was scratched so deep you could feel it with your finger. Got a replacement and it was scratched even worse. Disney 4Ks seem pointless between the terrible packaging and terrible quality control.

Sometimes titles just change over time to reflect the recognizable IP. Similar to A New Hope when it was released was just called Star Wars.

Can't speak for anyone else here, but I'm just not willing or able to devote 45 minutes of my life to any one YT video. Whenever you post videos that long, I simply skip through it until you hold up the next release in front of the camera. When I see the title, I quickly decide if it's worth listening to your commentary. If I decide it's not, I skip ahead to the next title you hold up. Life is too short.
