I purchased a 1022 last year been sitting in the safe until last weekend,I bought a Tony Kidd trigger system, Ruger hammer Forged barrel houge overmold stock, and a Swarovski 3x9x40 even with the only 22 ammo I could find aguila 40 gr at a hundred I put a full 25 rounds in a 1&1/2" group the only thing I don't care for is the trigger it's well under a pound
You could shrink groups a bit by using a room thickness gauge on your ammo,,, it allows you to sort ammo by rim thickness, which makes a yuge difference,,,I bought one from a guy that makes them locally and saw a big difference in group size
I just picked up some Tactical Solutions components to go with my Fletcher Rifle Works 11/22 I'm building. I"ll be excited to see how it all comes together!
I will put my KIDD 10-22 up against FRANKEN RIFLE any time you wish! I'm working with a 20" full taper barrel, single stage trigger(2lbs) with the quick bolt release and a Vortex Crossfire II 6×24-50 scope(life-time replacement). If you label yours "tack-driver" mine would be "pin-driver", now what!? LOL. I shoot quarter size groups of 5 @ 100 yards in my sleep. At 150 yards my groups start to look like yours. Great videos, keep'em coming! Thank you...
I been using Tandemkross parts on my 1022, i prefer their “ Ultimate trigger kit” over volquartesen trigger parts. love em both though! This gun is very pretty. Good color choice.
He can't split a card . He doesn't shoot for accuracy like the gun is intended ...He shoots for "groups"! Cause he doesn't know how to dial in a scope properly. He's a group man.
I'm assuming you're joking, but dude definitely knows how to dial in a scope. Perhaps not in this video, but he uses a few different types of ammo with different points of impact. To show the true accuracy of the rifle, and for the purposes of his video, shooting for groups was the most effective way to accomplish that.
@@timothygodwin1189 I guess you never shot your aiming point out on your target before, so you don't understand intentionally shooting just of center when group testing. (wonder why) If you can shoot a 1/4-1/2" group at 100 yds its no problem to move it over or down 1/2 MOA.
Thundercats-HOOOOOOOOO. Just jokin, I have that same shirt. Great 10-22 clone, although I would have went with the ProMag Archangel Adjustable Precision Stock or the Magpul X-22 stock. The extra adjustment capability would be warranted on such a precision 10-22 I think. Awesome vid as always!

Gold metal match doesn't shoot to great out of my er shaw barrel. It really likes CCI ar tactical. I shot a 3/8 group at 50 and a 3/4 inch group at 100. I've shot a couple of sub minute groups at 100 with eley target ammo.
Now I don't feel so bad about the 4.5-20x40 Simmons scope I had on my 10/22... There's a lot to be said for seeing what your shooting at. My 10/22 was kinda a range queen though with the heavy barrel and laminated stock it was quite heavy...yours looks great
that rifle was a really cool 10 22 build how i built mine is a got a green mountain barrel a boyds gun stock and a hornady trigger set and i can get it to shoot 10 rounds 1 hole at 300 yards with the right ammo
I tell you what. that bull barrel is full length, yeah, but because it's so thick, it looks short, and that big ass scope actually makes the whole thing actually look shorter. it looks good
Loooks like one of the rifles they use for the shooting at the olympics. But, probably what you need, with the kind of trick shots you do all the time.

You need faster ammo. Before 100 yards your ammo is transitioning the sound barrier and is becoming unstable. I suggest the CCI unleaded stuff or something at least 1,400fps. That will tighten up your 100 yard group a lot.
@@JoeZelensky No need for lighter bullets. Just a 40 gr (or possibly heavier) standard velocity or target round. Sound barrier won't be broken on either end. Standard rate of twist is fine.
@@JoeZelensky Well, first, not all. Velocitor for example is 40gr. 2nd, I'm suggesting slower, not faster. Just like a pellet gun, which is even more effected by breaking sound barrier, the best best long range accuracy in a 22 rimfire will generally be achieved with a starting velocity of about 1150fps or less, thereby not breaking the sound barrier at launch or as the projectile slows down downrange. This crossing of the SB tends to destabilize little projectiles. Get it?
Very nice Plinkster, love the finish on the metal. Is it anodized or something like Duracoat or Ceracoat? One thing you didn't mention is, what was the ballpark price point on this? Is the muzzle crowned? Is the barrel solid steel or is it a liner with an aluminum jacket? Also, is the barrel threaded on or does it use the Ruger v-block annd twin bolts to secure to the receiver? The rifle looks way cool, but I just don’t understand why you like the Volquartzen TG2000? Sure it’s better than a factory Ruger trigger, but there are so many better choices. A factory housing with a drop-in Volquartzen hammer, sear & disconnector is better.
