We did Mt. Kenya in March this year and Kilimanjaro in August. Kilimanjaro is the hardest thing I have ever done. My goodness it is brutal. We managed to summit both with my wife.
My biggest worry changed from how the world would be without music to how the world would be without stories. Like how would life be if mkurugenzi just stopped giving stories....its insane
I summited Kili in 2018 and exept for child birth it's the toughest physical experience I've encountered in my life. However those 5mins on Uhuru Peak were the epitome of therapy and one of the most rewarding if not the most rewarding physicial , spiritual emotional fulfilment in my life. If I get an opportunity I will definitely go back to salimia Uhuru peak. It's unfortunate that such a star had to go in that way. May he rest in eternal glory.
