ALL SONGS AVAILABLE TO DOWNLOAD AND MUCH MORE LINKS IN DESCRIPTION :) (Also a couple more songs!) BTW the random bit after first song was a mistake, i changed the order of the songs to what i recorded on the tape, so there are some misaligned shots of the tape machine my bad! if you build the godwin drummaker 45 what would you have called it?
These are the best song you have ever created. They are now forever in my favorite music list. There is a fragility here that I have never heard before from you.
I am nearly 80 but I was similar experimenting in 1971 with a Mini Moog, ARP2600 and EMS Synthi AKS also Ampex 8 track analog and maybe a Tascam mixer and Revox for mastering unfortunately we had no UA-cam in them days🤣Love it.
Some may call it cheese. Others like myself will call it pure genius.. Absolutely beautiful and amazing how you can take vintage electronics and make them all work together with a little bit of modern wizardry and the track sounds really fresh. Amazing ❤
No cheese detected. I love it, every minute, every second. That's a fantastic bit of kit in the right hands. It's just pure happenstance it didn't get a revival. If a few of these were in the right second hand store this might have been the 808. Maybe, we'll never know, but I love it.
That was the very BEST kind of super cheese, EVER! 17 minutes and 28 seconds of pure bliss! - This year marks the 40th anniversary of me discovering synth-music and this was up there with the very best I have heard during those 40 years. Genius!
@@underwaterdojo - Oh yes! I bought Joy Electric's album "Robot Rock" back when it was new in the late 90s - lots of cool noises! Did not listen to the "Melody" album, though - note to self!
Absolutely excellent! The true spirit of the electro-70s. KW, François de Roubaix, YMO, and others... Florian, François and Ryuichi are on your shoulders, Sam. 👍
Do you know that beautiful movie you wish it would never end? That's my feeling about this track! I wish it was an endless track just like Xenon2 soundtrack
@@LOOKMUMNOCOMPUTER I know, but this dinosaur only chunks vinyl and cassettes... If I ever make it to the UK, I will visit your fabulous museum. Have a good news year, keep on rocking, thou Master of Furbae.
The cheese factor in this is really growing on me. Seriously cool sounds. I think I compared it in your repair/mod video that sound is reminiscent of 70s Euro cinema soundtracks and that vibe gives the cheese the cred of a really good rocquefort and red
Excellent work. Has that "The Amazing Music Of The Electronic Arp" vibe about it (Gordon Langford in 1974 - my first LP listened in the late 1970s and still have it on me).
Excellent work! Your sound design with the MS-10 is fantastic, it's a perfect compliment to the Drummaker 45. I really enjoyed every minute of this, it sounds so good.
Oh, you just threw me down the rabbit hole. These things sound like instant space music generators once you put the effects on heavily. Some other classics are, just from the top of my head, the Elgam Carousel, the Wersi Wersimatic and CX1, the Solton Programmer 24. Then there are a few great organs including such stuff like the Elka X30, the Farfisa Proffesional, the Wersi Comet, the Crumar 2003 (basically including a complete Performer string / brass machine. The list is actually endless and mostly Italian. Things become extra interesting with the later generation which sometimes even provides complete drum programming, even with sampled drums towards the very end. Then the Japanese came. The problem with these forgotten gems is that it is very difficult to keep them alive because they tend to break down as soon as you start to use them regularly again. For those who want to hear a full album in this direction I fully recommend Ma Dolce Vita by Baffo Banfi recorded in Klaus Schulzes studio. And this is VERY nice to! 👍👍👍
When somebody finally does a re-make, or sequel to A Clockwork Orange, YOU ARE THE ONLY GUY FOR THE SCORING!!!!!!! ....And Cillian Murphy is definately the guy to play Alex DeLarge!!!!!
Dude, I had supper low expectations, but still... comply blown away. You really should put together something like this for band camp, or add it to the next Hainbach Collab.
Brilliant. Iconic sounds from the 70s but not cheesy as it had become by the 80s. I can hear similarities to Jarre and some C64 music. Grabbed the music yesterday and have played it 5 or 6 times since and obviously watched this video, great work, great sound, keep it up.
Deng... All of this sounds as if The Godwin was super excited to be able to play. It's just a happy little Godwin, amiright? "Who's my happy little Box Orchestra? Hm? YOU are! Goo'booooiii!!! 🥰"
As a person who has been making music that is "more cheesy than the Wotsits factory" - just to quote a comment to one of my videos - I can say with reasonable confidence, that this is way too gritty to be proper cheese. I guess we can say that it takes more than rural attire to be a dairy producer....
Not cheesy AT ALL 👍 I shudder to think what people could call vangallis or oldfield if you think this is “ cheesy “ it’s not often I’d ever tell you to just behave Sam” 😂 but this is that one time that I am 😂
@LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER This device in this video, alongside a modified SEGA Megadrive (also made polyphonic BTW) can in a sort of way replicate the famous Yamaha Porta Sound serie keyboards! This thing on the left hand (accompaniment) and the polyphonic modified Megadrive on the right hand (solo)!

@@LOOKMUMNOCOMPUTER The schematics are in the FB vintage synth repair group files section. And I know this because I downloaded them an hour ago. COMPLEATLY ZONED OUT AND MEDITATED FOR 17 MINUTES. THANKS YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR TALENTS. IN FUTURE TRY BOUNCING INTO THE RED ON THE KEYBOARD PLAYING TO ADD A TINY BIT OF HARMONIC DISTORTION THAT TASCAM DOES IT THE BEST

how many zapps to get to the center of a song
While wearing a similar red flannel?
Now we no wher the music came from in the arcade games like Mario game music 🎶 cool

Massive shades of ‘Mario Kart’ going on there, right up until you play it at 0.75x then it’s defo Jean-Michel Jarre. Genius work!
Massive thanks for that tip there bravo
Not even close. If it was , a copyright strike may be incoming😅
I was thinking Jean-Jaques Perrey lol
Going to say - excellent Jarre'ing music

I feel transported back to the Sega Genesis days, the second song did it for me. But the knob solo in the third song blew me away! Incredible work!
I would SO buy an album if that was one. Dang!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mighty work, sublime vibe!!!
