ALL "SCENES" Depicted in twenty five videos; ONLY ONE view of the BUS BEING SCRAPED near the Median??
Look at the video cam OF the time of the "accident' ...? He "touched" the bus, but look at the median LINE again.
The only really "terribly wrong " thing he did, apparently, was leaving the scene...but it appeared that he actually wasn't AWARE of what he might have CAUSED, until his truck hit the tree.(How drunk was he, nobody's ever stated it-No lie detector tests given either ?)I've driven those two lane highways in central Florida; THEY'RE HARD to drive.
Looks as if many commenters love to generalize without analyzing the whole situation well, too.
Like when the "unknown" perpetrator knifed to death two Vegas dancers, you won't be hearing the NAMES of those victims? Weird. Lots of really well educated and kindly and gentle men in Florida--You're a bit over generalizing and sarcastic, aren't you ?
In REGARD TO this video; A JUDGE is saying "not allowed to take any prescription drugs, without a RESTRICTION? (#6:36) WHAT does that "mean?" She also utilizes the words "in regardS" to, and this poor English is not indicative of the lawers we knew in Ocala--(RegardS are "salutations at the end of a letter", such as " Sincerely, Respectfully , or RegardS." This man should ask for a change of venue based in the judge's lack of knowledge of the language in which she holds a DEGREE in!Condolences to those families affected by this accident, but the The truck did not "collide" with the bus , it side swiped it by misjudging the division line, division line, and then " collided" with a TREE!
NEWSCASTERS just LOOK at the movement you're is actually displaying before you try to DESCRIBE it.
The BUS WAS CAUGHT OFF GUARD and lost it's normal direction. Had this been a TRAIN instead of a bus, the truck driver would have been charged with "derailment of" the train. It'll be hard to calculate THIS accident well; I'm sure the truck driver didn't "intend" to kill eight people this morning. The announcers seem to not be able to even adequately describe the "movements" behind displayed on the live video cams; "Surely his ATTORNEY can view more accurately and speak more eloquently ...yes?
This was a terribly serious accident but not a "collision." Could have also been lacking "good left eye vision"??
Ocala is the thoroughbred capital of the US. (not Lexington, Ky btw) I'm surprised we have rarely heard of horse trailers having "collided" with other vehicles.
