This tank is my best tier 9 tank and it holds my best records in the game, may be skill has some prejudice against it but I think it's a pretty solid tank.

This tank is absolutely horrible. It doesn't have the speed, it doesn't have any dpm, it's accuracy is abysmal and it burns every 3 to 5 battles.

@@Taooflu quitted the game for 2 years so I don't remember clearly. Iirc, it was almost 3k dpg, while all of my other tier 9 med were around 2k5 dpg at best.
This was the best tank for me from the Swedish mediums tech tree. The gun isn't perfect, but when RNG doesn't like you, even Leopard 1 gun becomes inaccurate. :)
When RNGesus turns His face from you even the best guns will troll you. When He smiles upon you the snap shot on the move in the KV-2 will hit its mark half way across the map.
First game he managed to hit 10 times, fails one, " this is what I was talking about, this gun"
I played a bit of udes16. Standing still, the gun is amazing, hits most shots, but when moving it starts to shoot into the moon or ground.
Imho, the tier 8 is more problematic, because you will get penetrated every time. You always must play safely, no alternatives. With 9 and 10 there's hulldown magic.
And yes, underrated. At least 3 stars, it is in no way bad. You may prioritize the precision, but for most players the hulldown capability is more important, not everyone has godtier gamesense and map knowledge to make just speed+precision work.
Not problematic just harder. Obviously you won't go to first line with the tier 8 udes cause it's a sniper just as you wouldn't go frontline with any paper tank. You lose armour and get gun so both tanks are problematic by your reasoning
I think tier 8 Is way better and simple to play than the high tier ones
@@danielfraiz74 well, yes, tradeoffs. But the gun isn't exactly lost, there are many much worse guns.
For me t8 jest much better then t9 :) And community votes prove my feelings :)
@@grzegorzorowski9943 you may well be right, but after grinding the line recently, I personally didn't feel bad moving from 8 to 9.
The gun is fine, pen is garbage. but gun is ok. Daki likes this tank. Skill has bad memories :P, but that says little for me. Sometimes Skill has a crush on average tanks which a really not epic/good and in the same way he might hate tanks that could be considered hidden gems. But everyone has their preferences
One of my best T9 tanks in the Garage with 3k dpg.. And it was hell of fun to play for me.
Skill you should do video with old school premium tanks like the m4a1 revalorise

UDES definitely underrated. It gets a lot of flak for not being as meta as its older brother, the Tier X, but it definitely slaps.
Gun handling is nothing to brag about, but that turret that can partially overmatch 155mm caliber guns? Incredible. It's a flexible, sneaky, maneuverable brawler that can bully lights and heavies both.

I have the 2nd equipment setup on mine with CVS, exhaust and vents. D2 is a good spot for that as long as no lights/meds approach, even then, you can use the terrain to your advantage, minus the arty of course. I've spotted many tanks like that and had my team destroy them, you can also shoot the center but it's a bit more risky.
I totally skipped this tank when I was grinding the udes 15/14 just because of your thoughts but after seeing this video and how other content creators (obviously good players) playing this tank I would give 3 stars because of the hulldown abilities. Yepp the gunhandling sucks, but nowadays in the hulldown meta it's only senodary factor I think.
My favorite thing about this tank is the fact that the gun is basically the highest part of the whole tank. When i was using the amazing gun depression it has, only revealing the gun I was laughing at the enemies because they couldnt even hit me, and when they did eventually hit me, they bounced off. I felt comfortable on any flank, carrying my heavy comrades' butts. Because of this ability to play in close-medium range, i never experienced the potential bad gun handling.
I definitely preferred the tier 9 over the tier 10. Especially with the stock turret.

Frankly, I had a similar nice experience with this tank about 2 months ago. I also remembered the gun as unpredictable from the first time on the ASIA server, and when I played it on the EU server, the gun performed way better, almost unreal. Left me wondering whether WG have done something about the gun. I'm not aware of any recent buffs for Udes 16, unless I missed something, of course.

i find the turret of udes 16 more reliable since the gun is mounted higher in the turret compared to the 15/16. I can get profit more than the tier x.
Skill you should make a video on the M5 Stuart after the buff. It’s little autoloader went from being a very difficult gun to use, to one of the most fun low tier guns imo
I have just played through UDES 16. My experience is that on this tank the pneumatic adjustment of the tracks ruins everything. Natural gun elevation is so small that only small adjustments cause the pneumatics to start working. This takes longer, and then the retina blooms. Personally, this seems to me to almost have to be a bug on Wargaming's side, but regardless, the tank is not playable as a result. Had it not been for excellent stealth properties, and good angled armour, this would have been one of the worst tanks in the game.
Yup. Every time you aim and get its perfectly aimed, then the suspension moves up or down and the bloom is reset.
I really do love this tank with all my heart. Supporting the heavy line and bouncing everything hull down is my favorite. When you’re so close the gun handling feels a lot better

My view for UDES 16 is that yes, it can troll, but it's not half bad. And I found myself enjoying it a bit more than UDES 15/16, maybe it's due to the easier MM, maybe it's due to me not being top notch in tier X tanks, but for me UDES 15/16 deserves 3 stars in Index. Although, the tier 8 UDES 14 5 for me is the best high tier tech tree tank (tier-for-tier of course)
I'm grinding this right now. I have experimental turbo, bond vents, bond coated optics and premium consumable. No field mods yet. Wiew range is great, it moves ok. The pen is bad. Heavy tier x heavys and td's are too much. But it's a good medium. I like it.
Its a good tank but Swedish guns do seem to get trollish rng more often than other lines.

skill i do have problem with credits. Do you know how to farm them more easy cuz from 20 games i got about 1 mil or BUY them?
You got a tier 8 premium? If you dont its gonna be hard, but if you do use the money boosters and try not to spam gold or play tanks you have food on. TD's are preffered like the STRV S1 which has insane pen and players usually dont have food on it.
Pick a premium tank with great pen on its standard round. Something you can do damage with about 50% of the time reliably. Take out all your gold ammo leave it at home. Shoot things do damage, earn monies repeat.
me personaly i activate boosters when i get a free premium day from events or what ever and spam TS-5 and T-103
T-103 is a great tank if you play it like a heavy
when i have a bad session i get like 1 mil in 7 matches
I like this Tank very much, and it is really good. I play most on mid / near distances and it works. For me it is 4/5.
I remember one game where I missed 22 shots and hit 1 with this tank!! And it was not snipping from the back, just the Monday of gun handling😝 apart from that it is a great tank!!

No. Your rating on this tank is accurate and reflecting my experience on it. I am currently at 93.5%. The gun on it and the HEAT round from enemey are the 2 problems I have to face.

well gun is for sure worse then in leo pta but i heat most shoots with udes kinda fine gun +armor
I hold this tank as one of my best in my ratings and I think skill his mindset towards this tank isn't exactly the way to go. I tend to play this tank like a sneaky medium and rarely require to use my armor in the first place. I tend to treat the armor more like a last resort for this tank. The camo values is what I tend to abuse the most on this tank. Armor is only a tool I would use if necessary
Main problem is gun, you cant snap shoot for sure. Even fully aimed shoots are not reliable.
I was grinding this tank for tier 10 , and I totally agree with skill , the gun is the worst part, plus low penetration even for gold shell standards
That tank was so bad, I sold it after getting the 15/16... although I played the tier 10 last week and... same result, I almost trew my laptop through the window!
I just got it and so far it feels a LOT better than Leo, which somehow has higher rating. I think that this tank should go up and Leo down.
Not just the gun its the automatic siege mode that feels .... off. You played it well here but still think its a 2 maybe 2.5 at best

Tier VIII is very nice, tier X probably too. But this one? Not really.
UDES 15/16 should have just been the UDES 16 hull with the tier 10 turret slapped on top.
They ruined the tier 10 by completely removing the hull armor.

No clue why but with this tank i hated the line, even more with the t10. I feel like the trollish gun and unreliable armor vs heat made it clanky. + Arta love you

How is Udes 16 for an average player? Did play Udes 14/15 and couldn't get good. It had right damage, and mobility - I didn't have the patience. Is UDES 16 more of the same, or better in flanking and sniping? ( I often start close to front to get early spot/ early shot)

I think 3 Stars is fair for this tank. I mean in in some situations there is little to nothing you can do but often it can work with his armor.
I remmeber udes 16 as unplayable tank with horrible gun handling. But thing is - I haven't play with it for a long time and WG is known to tune tanks even without official announcements. And sometimes you can have just a good session. So either guys with recent experience will have a say or just look at the data and see if there is a peak in MOE expectations in recent months. For me this tank was a nightmare bethween 2 EXCELENT udeses ;)

The mistake is playing too close with the heavies skill. This tank is epic.
