This was Patrick Carpentier’s last CART/CCWS win. Three years after Oriol Servia went airborne at the same track, he scored the first podium for Dale Coyne Racing since 1996. This was the last CART/CCWS race at Laguna Seca as they raced at San Jose from 2005-07 and they were supposed to return to Laguna Seca in 2008, but they didn’t because of the merger with the IRL, meaning this was the last IndyCar race at Laguna Seca until 2019. This was one of a few tracks in which Sebastien Bourdais failed to score a win in CART/CCWS.
CART Champcars! Simply the best!
Can you reupload the 2019 Laguna Seca race
Guys you need to make these videos like 2 hours earlier for us UK people. I'll be in bed asleep by this time 😢
You can always watch them the next day 👍they're not going anywhere.
Well we’d be at work so..
Seriously? This picture quality is a joke as was the ChampCar series at the time and as today's IndyCar Series is.
Always great to see races from the better side of the split, be it in tracks, racing excitement or how beautiful the cars look.
Please any México Race recap!!
Laguna Seca, now that's a proper racing circuit. Race start 8:07 let's hope it's a good race.👎 Champcar had died a death by this stage, thanks for the view.
16:46 visor cam in 2004? Wow Indy rules!!!!!
Even back in 2002 they had them.

listen at 2 minutes and 56 seconds!! everybody mispronounces his name
Aside from the cars and engines used, what a pitiful, pitiful, series. Indy car racing would have been so better off long term had the bankruptcy court just handed this wreckage to Tony George.
They couldn’t. That’s why it was important for the others to win in court.
Indycar would have been so much better without Tony George, period.
