  • A resurgence is on the horizon for Valiant, and it's time for them to finally launch their long awaited cinematic universe. In this video I'll share my thoughts on what Valiant can do to thrive in the world of superhero media, and which of their characters would be best suited for the big screen.
I'd love to hear what you guys thought about this video. Whether you loved it or hated it, let me know. And make sure you tell me what you think Valiant should do moving forward.

As a long-time fan who grew up on Marvel and DC, I want to believe that Valiant has created its own high-quality and dynamic cinematic universe in terms of storytelling and character development.
If you take the same "Rebel Moon" by Zack Snyder, which was conceived as a separate spin-off with an R rating on "Star Wars" and which Disney did not approve at all.
And that's how a completely original franchise appeared, just like the Valiant universe, but it only appeared in the 90s and went through significant ups and downs, if Zack Snyder were knew about this universe besides the big two, he would definitely have some character like X-O Manowar, Ninjak or Eternal Warrior, who he could have been filming without any problems.
The main thing is that he does not throw away his Rebel Moon, because Valiant and Rebel Moon are similar to Marvel and Star Wars, but only for adults and they are completely original and little-known, I have already said the rest.

It seems to me that for streaming services such as Netflix, Amazon and Apple, are needed such original projects on the little-known comics universe as Valiant are needed anyway if they take any character, while Disney + and Hulu have Marvel, at Max (ex-HBO) there is DC to then create a movie and a TV series based on them.
Dan Mintz previously said that streaming is good for Valiant characters, so it will be very interesting to watch it.
Personally, I vote for Netflix because they do things that other studios can't, and Valiant can fit into the landscape.

@@Strannik-m9kThat's right, in addition to the success of "Rebel Moon", despite harsh criticism from viewers and not only from them, it is still a completely original franchise invented by Zack Snyder, who previously worked at the DCEU. I'm just saying that Marvel Television previously filmed its series on Netflix, including Daredevil and The Punisher, and they have an R rating, now these series are being filmed for Hulu, Netflix itself needs similar content if you don't take indie comics, namely one that can compete with Marvel and DC for their quality and originality, since they shot their "Star Wars" from Zack Snyder, then, of course, it will be valiant.

@@Strannik-m9kThis is true, and if Netflix, after a long collaboration with Marvel in 2015-2019, wants similar content in the superhero genre, then let it be Valiant, so far these are just theories, but if someday or maybe they announce a collaboration, then absolutely a lot of content will be created, but this is not the case. This is not the case. It is important to focus on quality as the primary source. Zack Snyder's "Rebel Moon" and "Valiant TV" on Netflix are perfect for each other, but let's see what happens.

@@spider-assassin6264 I think audiences are looking for lack of better term “John Wick style hero movie” John wick is super successful because of the talent on display. Which is what I would attribute it being a success, it kept on delivering on style and promise. Zack Snyder sorta plays perfectly into that because he gives audiences who were comic book readers- comic book movies complete with action, drama, and a beautiful style.

VALIANT is a great universe. I this whoever takes this project on need to analyze what was done with story, pave, and character development that was done on the 90s. That is even VALIANT was successfully challenging Marvel and DC. I would encourage everyone to read through that era in release order starting with Magnus and Solar.

I thought this was really good man, alot more thought out and in depth than my pitch for.

Thank you, I appreciate it. I didn't dive into the story much like you did, so I wouldn't say it was more in-depth. But I'm still proud of the results.

If I'm laying a foundation for the valiant universe and the movie I want to start out with that's a low budget movie would be timewalker or eternal warrior hear me out time Walker it's simplistic in its own merit because you could use him to introduce every character of the valiant universe eternal warrior on the other hand would be great because you could just do a simplistic barbaric Highlander movie for very cheap these days simply followed up with later stuff that happens but you could include other valiant characters and their such as the ones from the past like XO manowar as his barbaric self basically I'm saying you want to start with the guys that are there throughout the beginning of time which yes would include Armstrong of our turn Armstrong but basically you can work your way through time and the cinematic valiant universe making characters such as rai that are in the future take place further down the line when valiant can prove it's got enough money in its pockets to do what they need to for future projects

I love that idea. Naturally progressing through the Valiant heroes. It's like how Spider-Man in the MCU was someone who looked up to the heroes before him, because he didn't debut until years later. That could be the case for someone like Faith.

Very well done and in depth boss, while I agree with most of what you said I'd want them to reboot Bloodshot to be more like Bloodshot Unleashed with a new Ray. Other then that, awesome ideas! -Jay. I'm sure Sean will watch this soon.

If they did reboot Bloodshot, then I agree that Unleashed is the way to go. Would definitely have to go for an R rating.

I’d appeal to the market. Take Valient where DC and Marvel won’t ever go, hire action screenwriters and action directors to give audiences a hyper stylized hero universe with plenty of action.

Ooh, I actually really like that idea

@@ProperPitch I like your idea of an “A24” superhero movie, but looking at Eternals specifically… Chloe Zhao was as indie A24 as A24 can get and that film was lambasted at the box office and critically. I don’t think super hero stories can garner the success studio heads want right off the bat by being an “independent film.” At least not yet, obscure Comic adaptations are rarely successful outside of Marvel and DC. As well Not many other genre films can genre bend without a big name in front of camera and behind it. Joker, Logan and Deadpool are success stories who made films with a different edge to them and all were wildly successful. At least with Valient IP many of the characters aren’t household names atm, DC has it Soooo good where most people know every hero AND can name 2-3 of arch-nemesis. Marvel can’t really boast that, most people I reckon know only the big bads. Valient faces an even greater challenge where the audiences they hope to garner… proly don’t even know the hero let alone the villains. That could be why Bloodshot preformed so bad. Looking at Joker, Deadpool, and Logan executives might be able to see that audiences really crave a different approach to hero movies. The Boys is a show that does exactly that and has immense success from it. With the MCU continuing with Formula and the DCU molding itself to mimic it… there is an opportunity for Valient to create something different audiences crave. And they do crave it, just look at the box office for the movies I mentioned. The only thing I’d change is starting the whole franchise with an “Avengers-Level-Threat.” Call on the heroes of the Valient Universe to come and “save the world”… and then branch out into solo films, now audiences will have a little more backstory or point of reference when they see trailers or posters for the upcoming movies. Once you have buy-in then I would say go down the artsy-indie route or play with genre like Horror if you like or just to this new formula and do action.
Sorry for the essay, I just saw the Bloodshot movie on Hulu and I had some ideas pop out.

That Blood-Shot film was great and it fit the company mission statement (similar to marvel) to give you a superhero world that seems could happen right outside of your window. Of course he is an action hero (just like eternal warrior) and not a superhero, and this mislabel is part of his image problem, witch relates to the movies perception as a bad superhero movie..... because it's not a superhero character, though it is shot similar to superhero movies.
Plus if Vin Desiel can't sell a Franachise alone it isn't going to sell.
Everyone talks about the superheroes and villians, but I'd like to see H.A.R.D.Core play a major part, and there are several other simular IPS I'd love to see... I do think Eternal Warrior should be released somewhere in the middle since it is another action hero (he is not a superhero)

I do not think it is time for the Valiant cinematic universe because Hollywood is not doing a good job with the Marvel/DC stuff. If they can’t do those properly, they should not be discovering other universes/characters yet.

I think Marvel and DC's sinking public perception would only hurt Valiant, not help them. But hopefully I'm wrong.
