To show you how global Jordan was without twitter or any of these platforms, my grandmother in the village knew about him eventhough she didn't know anything about basketball and this is in zimbabwe by the way
During his Heyday, MJ was something else. I mean this guy was Connie Hawkins, Elgin Baylor and The Doctor, all wrapped up into one. Even little old ladies who knew nothing about basketball, knew who MJ was. I remember on nights whenever the Bulls would be visiting New York, there would be a murmur in the crowds as they surged towards Madison Square Garden and people would stop strangers in the streets and ask, "What's going on"? And the answer would be, "Michael Jordan is in the Garden"! (And they didn't say the Bulls, only MJ!) A buddy and I had season tickets right behind the basket in 1992, and when the Bulls were visiting, the crowd would be mesmerized with Jordan during pre-game warmups. Watched every move the guy made. He was so special that during his last season (before finally retiring), opposing players would casually stand near him so that their family & friends could take photos. (Yea that's me with MJ! LOL!). Kobe mimicked him with the wagging tongue, the body language, the way Jordan would sway back to create space (from a defender). Even tried to talk like Jordan. Lebron purposely wears number 23, and that throwing of the powder into the air over the scorers table (before tip-off) is a Jordan staple. Great players today? Sure, but there will never be another MJ.
@Critique Everything so you are saying that jordan's greatest accomplishment is beating the jazz twice in a row, a franchise that has never won a single championship in its entire history? i can't really argue with that
1:06 Michael does not even leave until Phil comes and taps him and tells him to go ahead. What a loyal guy, you gots to love MJ EDIT: added a time stamp
I'll never understand fans that applaud their team for winning in this kind of fashion. The referee should have been suspended for that terrible call. MJ deserved the heeve-ho, no doubt, but what kind of real fan cheers on his team bc they got the other player ejected? Also, how did it feel in '98? That had to be a much more satisfying experience for him.
John Short Couldn't have said it better myself. While it was an adrenaline-filled 3OT game, MJ lost his temper (practically head-butted the ref). However, who cheers for that? Got what they deserved five years later.
Thanks Karl, you are forever my hero...all time favorite video is when Isiah's face runs into your elbow. EPIC!! Crybaby Thomas of the "bad-boys" still has nightmares every morning when he looks in the mirror to stare at his pretty face...then upon seeing the scar...starts sweating profusely after which suddenly experiences a "flashback" from this prior "traumatic episode" which signals Isiah's gag reflex, sending the pussiest "bad-boy" of them all directly to the toilet...where-upon Isiah begins to dry-heave...which lasts generally a good five to ten minutes...Anyways, thanks again for all the great memories...Now go out in the woods and shoot you a moose or something today......that is unless your not out there already. To the greatest power forward of all-time... and get over it, all you Timmy D lovers...you have to bring some "power" to the forward position to get "crowned" and the word "power" in Timmy's game just does not exist....Now "finesse" Timmy's always been full of that....Duncan is, was and will forever be a center...who had to be re-classified under false pretenses only because of the "Admiral's precense.."ouch", thoughts of that seven foot figure, laid "out cold" on the hardwood deck... more memories for me that is...not the memories of the Admiral's...who still has no account of it "the events" of that day, to this day, of which I'm sure. Nope, Timmy the "true" center, will forever have to play, second fiddle to the greatest at that position... Hakeem "the dream" and his "nightmare" shake. Sorry Dunky boy, just like Isaiah had to, suck it up and realize you we're never quite the best at anything.

Jordan just immediately listens to what his coach said, turns his back and walks away. You don't get that kind of respect anymore these days.
Kids, this is how exciting the NBA use to be every night. The way the crowd was cheering, you'd think this was a Finals game... This game was in freakin February!
@ Zapata doesn't surprise me that he's a good guy, considering the fact that Michael Jordan is an arrogant piece of shit. Wouldn't expect them to get along
Dr.CookiesNeedLoveLikeEverthingDoes but there are more who arent arrogant and successful. Modesty and humble never hurts but arrogance does, but ppl dont realize that cuz they are druken with pride of success
I think game 6 in 98 was payback for this. I think MJ might have fouled him, but the guy flopped. Also, if it looks like a foul, the refs usually call it.
Nathan Estlund Why are you mentioning that? What does that have to do with this? Is it because you're an MJ fan, and you're butthurt that your precious "God" got ejected and lost this game?
I think what actually caused the ejection was when he bumped the ref -- in most sports, contacting an official is an instant ejection, especially when you contact him while you're yelling at him.
Jazz and Bulls always played some great games one against other. 2 great teams. 3 HOFs in Utah. 3 in Chicago. Not sure why the hate on Utah here. Its just a video.
I don't blame Jordan or Phil. It's triple OT, you're playing hard, you work hard to tie the game up, and a ref decides the game with a bullshit call which give the game away. It's kind of an unwritten rule for a referee to not decide the game with a whistle unless the foul is obvious. This wasn't even a foul at all, it was an act of a player either flopping or losing his balance after getting the ball knocked away. So fuck it, might as well give the ref an earful.
Best comment. Also, Jordan got pushed here. It's easy to argue this was an offensive foul prior to Jordan taking a swipe out of frustration for getting shoved.
its the timing of the call ethan. jordan was running away from the ball and it was triple OT. Refs shouldn't decide the game in a situation like that. These guys were playing for hours and it ends on foul shots in triple OT. Why should a player have to keep quiet when a bad call is made? You don't get to that level without being super-competitive and highly charged emotionally about winning. OF COURSE you're going to be angry if you think you're being robbed. Games are emotional by that very nature as are humans, especially in such endeavors. If a fan can get emotional then how much more should an athlete who's actually PLAYING the game be able to? Telling someone to just accept a bad call & be all sweet & sugar about it is just ridiculous.
Oh please, I don't think you've ever officiated a sport before, let me know how that goes for you when you have assistant coach, Head coach, players, etc all going screaming in your face. I'm not arguing the fact of the call, but the way its handled. The head coach has the most amount of leeway because he's the head coach, everyone else needs to play/ coach their own team. In the NBA, YOU can tell that they give a LOT of leeway to all star players, like Michael Jordan. Fans, they're fans, as long as they aren't interrupting with the process of the game, those closest to the arena can get ejected as well. If you also saw, Phil Jackson was ARGUING as well. When you've officiated a sport, then you can start talking about the procedures.
Wait I thought this was the era where everyone could do everything and hard fouls were never called and the refs let them play and no one ever got ejected, especially not with the game on the line....
Kelinguin Joe lol there have been plenty of players in the past 10 years with those numbers, and michael scored 32 a game on just about 50% shooting, lebron scores 27? 28? but on 60% shooting. Obviously jordan is better but the lebron hate is ridiculous
pingKING94 I respect Lebron and think he's one of (if not the best) physically talented player to ever play the game. He has a really smart head and is unselfish. But if we're talking Jordan he was just such a monster personality, the total package. Leadership/presence/clutch/endurance/adapting/etc. He just had everything. And while I think stats are a good start in helping make decisions. I don't think it should be a nail in the coffin. Otherwise, Wilt should be the best player to ever play the game.
What an honor was to watch live Malone/Stockton coached by Sloan and Jordan/Pippen coached by Jackson. That was basketball ai its best. Sorry for my english.
With Jordan ejected & no Scottie, the rest of the Bulls were like those runers that were following Forrest Gump when he decided to stop running..."NOW WHATTA WE DO?!" 🤣
I watched the NBA through the 80's and 90's - There's not a single player i'd put above MJ. Not one. The man was simply the greatest to ever lace them up. Bird and Magic also were incredible. As for Kareem and Wilt - Jabbar had very little outside the skyhook, and Wilt really was the same, terrible shooter, nothing but an inside game. These two guys were nowhere near as dynamic as MJ, Bird and Magic.
Well I mean Jabbar and Wilt were Centers in a time of traditional basketball. They were dunking, rebounding and shot blocking machines. Don't sleep on their dominance of the paint.
Why do u guys bring up labron James on every Jordan video? What does labron got to do with it, labron is a amazing baller, but he's not as good as Jordan or Bryant or iverson, but he's still amazing, so stop hating, labron says Jordan is better, so why hate? Labron never says he thinks he's better then Jordan give the guy a break seriously guys, i give him props he's 6.8 and over 250 lbs and he's fast and jump and he's quick to, thats game
How many times Steve Kerr was ejected. Or Scottie Pippen. Or Gary Payton? These kids today act like its favoritism because they hate Jordan, But ejections are quite rare for players who are not known for fighting.
MJ cries about being called for a foul but never hesitated on taking the win when he pushed Bryon Russell in game 6 of the 1998 finals. MJ is talented, no question about that, but his character truly leaves a lot to be desired. Perhaps he should have had someone else write his HOF speech as well.
Michael Jordan got away with alot in the NBA so many times he should of been called. Yes he was a talented player and one of the best but for you Moreno and Tommy to get all but hurt shows how much you know Basketball.
I'll never feel bad for bad calls going against Jordan, Kobe, Lebron, Wade, Shaq, or other "superstars." There were far more numerous calls going their way than not.
I could say the same shit back to Jordan, He was THE "Superstar" of the NBA. The league created the "Defensive 3 in the key" rule specifically to allow guys like MJ to drive in more often. (resulting in more "exciting" games, thus more money/raitings.)
I agree with all of that but Shaq. The reason Shaq got so many calls is because he was actually getting fouled hard every time he touched the ball near the basket. Just watch any of his games...many of those fouls would flagrants today. He was literally getting mounted and hacked up. The others though? Definitely true
Mykoveli much respect for knowing your shit. It's amazing how many people falsely claim rules were changed to help Jordan when in fact most of the rule changes were made during his retirements to help create more Jordans.
This is exactly why I can't watch basketball professionally. There are cameras and the ref can call a foul even if it's not a foul. They could just watch the replay and all decide instead.
The way that Jordan suddenly accelerated past the time line and then pulled-up for the sixteen-foot elbow jumper is incredible
Swear!
it proofs that he’s not a human
Listen what he did is some video game shit bro looked like 2k with a analog toggle and suddenly hitting the jump shot and timing it perfectly

NEVER EVER eject Michael Jordan out of the game! Who do U think people pay to see? Bunch of BS....wonder how much Ref's got paid to do that!
He head butted the ref wtf
I doubt u still have this account but just bc ur the goat doesn’t mean ur immune to getting ejected
@@deletedvideos. Lol yeah, I paid to see a true basketball game. No fucking bullshit 😂
They were so young!!! Phil and Sloan crazy!
what a shitty win...how was that a foul?
THE BULLS SHOULD HAVE WON THAT, NOT THE JAZZ!! look who's better today. The Jazz aren't doing too good. But the Bulls are a beast.
kuruptzZz The part where he got hit on the knee. That was the foul.
The part where he was shoved at his waist with Jordan's right hand. Jordan did that a lot according to the people who played against him.
what the hell are you talking about? They got 90s shorts on, Jeff Malone is on the Jazz and Horace Grant is on the bulls, this is probably 92-93.
lebron fouling out brought me here.....
Michael bruno LeBron actually didn't foul out, he was ejected for talking shit to a ref bc LeBron was fouled and ref didn't call if
Ulysses432 Shut yo dumb ass up hater you sound stupid
@OIP ! Bitch I wasn’t talking to you and is that suppose to get me upset, go to sleep kiddo
@OIP ! You a computer thug
@OIP ! Lol it sound good 😂 you don’t get no porry
NOT A FOUL!
“flop” on early days 😂
Heart of Jordan
Speed of Rose
Power of Griffin
Attitude of Garnette
That ref was later fined for ejecting jordan
I'd be pissed too, that's an easy offensive foul call.
There was no fault! MJ touch just the ball..
What an honor was to watch live Malone/Stockton coached by Sloan and Jordan/Pippen coached by Jackson. That was basketball ai its best. Sorry for my english.
With Jordan ejected & no Scottie, the rest of the Bulls were like those runers that were following Forrest Gump when he decided to stop running..."NOW WHATTA WE DO?!" 🤣
Casually wins 55 games the year Jordan retired*
@@awishisaheartyourdreammake9222 he said “no scottie” too
Reminds me of the end of the Warriors-Timberwolves game on 3/29/19. In both instances, ticky-tack foul called with 0.5 seconds left in OT, tie game.
Eric Rakestraw I reckon the refs were biased because Steph and kd were taunting them when they made the game tying 3
@@dynamiteSANTA Exactly. The Warriors need to stop arguing with the refs. They can't afford to get on their bad side in the playoffs.
He's not as good as Bryant or Iverson? Figures from a guy who doesn't know how to spell "LeBron."
LeBron shits on Iverson and Kobe. Don't be moronic.
Jeff Malone does a good acting job of falling...Jordan had a clean swipe
"...so I took it personal"
here because lebron got ejected
How many times Steve Kerr was ejected. Or Scottie Pippen. Or Gary Payton? These kids today act like its favoritism because they hate Jordan, But ejections are quite rare for players who are not known for fighting.
That's such a botched call. The refs practically handed the other team the win.
Who gave him the authority to eject Michael Jordan?
Cause he can jackass
Worse call ever.
Go back to school.
oakkblackbird You and the original commentator go back to school. Not the first replier or me
That was an awesome defensively play.. totally clean strip.. and yeah they called a foul cos they got dinner waiting at home.. who wants a 4th OT?
They miss calls, and players get away with stuff too, especially Jordan.
you know that ref got fired at the end of the season
he didnt i know him...
I didn't remember this one
Jordan won so much people forgot about the losses.... LeBron loses so much people forget about the wins
MJ cries about being called for a foul but never hesitated on taking the win when he pushed Bryon Russell in game 6 of the 1998 finals. MJ is talented, no question about that, but his character truly leaves a lot to be desired. Perhaps he should have had someone else write his HOF speech as well.
generatorx stfu bitch it wasn't a push, Russell even admitted years later it was a slip, you dumb fuck
generatorx just shut your yellow teeth ass up
Michael Jordan got away with alot in the NBA so many times he should of been called. Yes he was a talented player and one of the best but for you Moreno and Tommy to get all but hurt shows how much you know Basketball.
generatorx shut the fuck up
Moreno12 thank you for this comment
Jordan had the last laugh in Salt Lake
+Rey's cute Boyfriend That rule was made after he retired....that rule helped Kobe, lebron and the rest of these scrubs in the NBA today.
They could just watch the replay and all decide instead.
their was no review back then
That was all ball !! f*ckin Mormon Refs haha
That was all ball
He headed butts the Ref and nothing is said about it.
He got suspended for a game
A game? what would he have got if he played for the pacers?? be honest now.
I don't know, ask David Stern
I remember the game it was 92 I was 4 but I remember my dad and uncles were talking and yelling about this game.
no foul. out on which. bulls ball. that simple and im not even all about MJ. lol
The Strength of MJ
He’s deceptively strong. Notice how he moves Grants Arm and Body out of the way and he wasn’t even trying. Wow
Garbage win by Utah. Have fun with no rings.
tubenachos No rings BECAUSE of ANOTHER play where Jordan fouled, as usual
Cant really tell if he got all ball, or slapped his wrist
